Top notch outfit!! Would highly recommend and here's why. The Guides. Fun-loving, safe and skilled. Took time with guests. Drew, Jasper, Jordan, Ian, and Jona were our super crew. Also, felt like any one of the guides could open their own restaurant. The food was perfect. Fresh and balanced every time. The Salmon River: gorgeous days and fun rapids. Saw a couple golden eagles, some toads, deer, horses, Chuka's and a big horn on the drive in. I'll be back and McCall is just a beautiful place to spend time. Salmon raft knows how to create an unforgettable trip! Was a little nervous before the trip sense I am not the biggest fan of camping but had the best time and would definitely do it again. We did a three night trip and none of us wanted it to end. The river was beautiful and we had the best time rafting. Camp each night was beautifully set up by the time you arrive and the perfect way to end the day. The food each day was amazing and they were accommodating to dietary preferences. I couldn't write enough good things about our guides Preston, Robin and Ian. They were all knowledgeable, friendly, kind and handled the rafts beautifully. The owners and driver were also great and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone! read more

We just finished an overnight trip down the Lower Salmon River. Chris and Lauren (owners) have an amazing team and it was a wonderful experience form beginning to finish. Sitting on the side of the river having wonderful appetizers views are breathtaking, the guides are friendly and knowledgeable, and everyone from small kids to the elderly can enjoy it. I went on a multi-day rafting trip down the south main of the Salmon River with this outfit last weekend and here I am giving them a five star rating, feeling bad that there isn't a sixth star! I don't like to follow the crowd so I opted to do my review on Yelp as opposed to Trip Advisor which by the way rates them as numero uno as well. This company is terrific from the top down. Whether you're dealing with the owners, Chris and Lauren, or with the raft guides and support personnel, these people get it. I look for 3 things when it comes to companies: culture, employee satisfaction and customer service. Wow. Again, these guys get it! The trip was fun...the prepared meals...the campsites....very top notch...and I'm a complete snob!! :) My raft guide, "Cee-N" (sorry buddy, I have no idea how to spell your name), is not only knowledgeable and accomplished...he's friendly, welcoming and looks like every winner you've seen on 'Survivor.' Good guy! John-O, our support guy who transported and set up our campsite is only 21 and couldn't be more accommodating, friendly and hard-working. Yeah, yeah, yeah...we did the rapids and enjoyed the scenery but it's the people of Salmon Raft that makes this trip memorable. read more

OUTSTANDING!! 10 stars.... Went for a 3 night 4 day trip with Salmon Raft! The guides were outstanding! The food was fantastic... the water was awesome. Guides set up the entire camp and prepared and cooked all the meals (steak, pork, salmon, pasta, breakfast omelets, fresh salad, cocktails, beer and wine), set-up and broke down camp and made sure everyone was having a great time. The Guides knowledge of water safety and conditions was excellent... saved me when my kayak tipped! Their humor and knowledge of the local plants, animals and geology were awesome. This was my second trip and I WILL be back to do it AGAIN... next summer. read more

Just returned from a 3-day trip with Salmon Raft and I can't recommend this company enough. I traveled with a group of 6 from Minneapolis, Minnesota to take this trip and we all had a blast. You are in excellent hands with the river guides of Salmon Raft--they are a dream team, and you can tell how much they enjoy what they do. They flawlessly executed the largest 3-day trip they have done (there were 24 campers total and 6 guides) and we were so well cared for. Salmon Raft provided amazing meals, drinks, sleeping bags/pads, and tents, which were set up at camp by the time you arrive at the end of the day. We didn't have to lift a finger, but still got to enjoy the adventure of a lifetime. I can't wait to return for a 4 or 5 day trip! read more

What an amazing trip made even more amazing with our guide. Brooke was, well, simply amazing. Full of energy, patience, and knowledge of the area. I was really impressed with the fact that all of their equipment was new and from high quality companies. I realized this when I saw other guides' equipment at the launch site. Equally impressive was the fact that half the guides of Salmon River were women which I think made for a better experience for my family of three. The provided lunch was also a welcomed amenity with fresh, high quality sandwich ingredients so we could all make our own and not be stuck with something we didn't like or couldn't eat. I wouldn't go with any other guiding company should I ever make my way back to this idyllic lake town. read more

My wife and I went on a day trip with owners Chris and Lauren as our guide and driver. The day was perfect from the start. They picked us up a mile from our hotel and drove us to the river where they cast off the raft and had us going in no time. They were both extremely friendly and helpful. The rafting was great and the provided lunch was amazing. Chris was very professional and knowledgeable, yet easy going and good natured. His presence definitely added to the quality of the trip and it was a pleasure getting to spend the day with him. Overall, you could tell that much planning and preparation was put in just for our single trip that only included my wife and I. Chris and Lauren have a lot of pride in their company and it shows in the work they put in and the way they treat their customers. We would highly recommend rafting with their company and we hope to get back soon for a longer two or perhaps four day trip. read more

We went river rafting with this company 2 weeks ago and they did a phenomenal job. Everything about the trip was customized to what we wanted to do. Some of us hadn't been river rafting before so we didnt know what to expect. They let us choose what part of the river (scenic/some rapids or rapids) we wanted to do. We chose the scenic with some rapids which was perfect for our group. They were all about safety so we felt comfortable with either choice. Everyone was very knowledgeable and very nice. Its soo nice to work with a company that lets you customize your event!! Highly recommend them! We just got back from our multi-day rafting trip and kids are already asking to go again! It was an amazing experience from start to finish - booking, communicating, and planning with Chris and Lauren was easy and they were very accommodating in answering all of our questions - as well as providing us with information on what to pack and what our trip would be like. We were with a large group (15 guests) and 4 crew (Ben, Carley, Cori, and Luke) - the crew was engaging, passionate, and professional. They ensured safety was #1 while still providing a great experience for adults and kids alike - the scenery was beautiful and the rapids were so much fun - our guides knew so much about the history of the sites that we passed!. Of course, there was more than just the rapids - this crew can cook! Amazing food and they always made sure everyone's needs were being met. At camp, they helped us in afternoon/evening activities: setting us up for fishing, creating a water slide at camp, creating an obstacle course on the beach for the kiddos in the evening, games such as horseshoes, bocce ball, and just visiting with everyone. They truly went above and beyond to create a one of a kind experience while still being respectful of the river and our surroundings. This was my first time river rafting and everything was first-rate. From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed every detail was taken care of. Staff was excellent, knowledgeable and safety was a priority. The food was amazing and aplenty! Waking up to the aroma of hot coffee, eggs, pancakes and bacon was a great way to start day two. Chris and Lauren, the owners, are great. Lauren was timely returning emails and always available by phone to answer questions. Chris was an awesome guide on the river....safe, knowledgable, and friendly. Our trip was modified to accommodate a 6 and 8 year old, as well as two seniors. The lunch was well thought out and delicious. They went to the trouble to bring a lot of fresh and healthy food to meet everyone's tastes. All the guides on our trip were fun and friendly. Everything about this rafting company was fabulous! Earlier this summer I contacted them from their website about possible dates and Lauren responded very quickly. We confirmed our trip and had a quick call to provide payment details and we were done. My family did a one-day rafting trip on August 6th and it was great! Everything was on schedule and as communicated. We met Lauren at the ending point for a shuttle to the start. She was on time and was a very safe driver on a small/narrow road. The rafting trip was quick to get started and we had GREAT guide - JAKE! He was a great 'rafter', but was also very funny and entertaining. We experienced some very good rapids and had the opportunity to swim/float several times during the day. Lunch was very yummy - my teenage kids even commented that it was a gourmet lunch (as advertised)!! I would not change a thing about this trip. I hope we will have the opportunity to do an overnight trip next time! read more
