A friend and I just completed the America's Rafting Company 4 day Hell's Canyon Rafting trip. Just…read morethe right length. The food was amazing, the guides as friendly and kind as could be. The fishing was wonderful. The guides were so knowledgeable and friendly I can't say enough positive about them. Kevin, Wyatt, Kyle, Bob and David you guys TOTALLY Rock. If you have kids who might like this kind of thing, bring them along. The guides made them feel great and helped them learn to fish in one case (11 yo boy) and improve fishing skills in two case (10 and 13 yo boys). The boys wanted to kayak, so the guides got the inflatable kayaks out and helped the boys build confidence and they kayaked through water and increased their confidence and self-esteem. Did I say the food was Amazing. (I tend to be a bit picky about food, so this is really a six star recommendation on the food). The sauce on the Greek salad and sandwiches (you add your own, but I love Tzatziki sauce) was wonderful. It was all good. You can come on this trip with complete confidence you will have a great time. I would like to bring my wife back to do this in a year or two.

Glorious dry sunshine along a pristine river, chock full of excellent, thrilling rapids, surrounded by mountains, fresh air and that occasional wild life spotting (in our case, a bear, 2 bald eagles, mountain goats, one small bobcat, and countless fish). Jarrett has assembled an A-team of guides that go above and beyond with smart, responsible mentorship, showing you the ropes, educating you with stories of the land (geography and history) and they are very interesting too. Mike is a super star, ex-navy pilot with an infectious energy and smile; Ty is a smart, super friendly Mechanical Engineering student from Arkansas, Rylee is a wildlife and animal wrangling expert who can catch and clean a fish faster than anyone, Leia rounds out the group making the everyone in the group feel taken care of and is always there to help you whether your gearing up, hungry, or just have a question about anything. Shout out to Loren (Jarrod's wife and partner) for preparing a virtual gourmet feast every day. There are no words to describe just how much effort and artistry goes into to the food prep. You will eat well and trust me that there is PLENTY of food, you won't be hungry. The stars on this experience are old world. You will never see space like you do on this journey. I expected to pay a lot more for the rental as I am used to in other vacation / resort towns. They had very reasonable prices ($25 for a half day) and the staff gave me advise on what to enjoy on the ride. Great selection of all outdoor gear, including used items. Great money saver if you might only need something for a few days. Highly recommend this shop (and you should go get a burger and shake across the street afterwards at My Fathers Place! : )
