My husband and I started going to Gibbs Dentistry after he'd seen another dentist who recommended questionable and unnecessary work.

Even when I didn't have insurance, Dr. Jung's prices have been super reasonable. About $200 per year for cleanings and x-rays twice a year, which was about what I would pay for insurance outside of my employer. One time I did have a cavity that didn't hurt. Dr. Jung showed me the proof with x-rays and it only cost $95 to fill. The front desk staff has been super friendly and greeted me by name for every appointment. I am particularly happy with their new dental hygienist, Maureen. She was super nice and took the time to clean my teeth very thoroughly. She didn't use that water pick thingy (magnetostrictive ultrasonic scaler) to clean my teeth, which I find to be annoying and occasionally painful. She just used the normal scalers and was super detailed. But it didn't take long at all. And we had a good talk. She seems to understand I can't talk while my mouth is being cleaned and didn't ask questions until I could respond, which I appreciate. I go out of my way (about 30 minutes) to see this dentist. He's great.

Dr. Jung and his whole staff were so welcoming and very efficient. Dr. Jung was very thorough and careful with my cleaning and filling. I have been a loyal client of Legacy Family Dental since 2018. From 2018 to 2025, I have been…read moretreated by seven different dentists, none of whom owned the practice, and a countless number of hygienists. I kept returning due to their convenient location and friendly employees. However, after what's occurred this year, I do not intend to return. In May 2020, Dr. Jordan seated a 3-tooth bridge on my upper front teeth. Since then, it's been nothing but problems: In July 2021, the bridge had to be recemented. In September 2022, it chipped. In December 2023, it was repaired again, but broke off again a few days later. Then, in February 2025, it chipped once more. And just recently, on April 2, 2025, a large portion of the bridge broke off -- so badly that it's now unrepairable. After the February fracture, another dentist at Legacy Family Dental cemented the broken piece to an adjacent tooth. It wasn't ideal and sometimes painful, but it was better than having a visible gap. Still, that temporary fix only lasted a few weeks. To make matters worse, I was told by the Legacy Family receptionist that my insurance wouldn't cover a replacement since it's been less than 7 years -- and that I'd need to pay around $3,300 out of pocket. For a bridge that began failing just over a year after placement, and has now completely broken within five years, that did not sit well with me. During my second-to-last visit, Dr. Ash (another new dentist) told me the failure was a result of an "operator error." She recommended a better-quality 4-tooth bridge and offered to only charge for the additional tooth. However, a few minutes later, Dr Ash informed me that her proposal had been rejected by the owner of the practice, Dr Justin Pierson. Approximately 15 minutes later, Dr. Ash returned and said, "I don't take no for an answer," and presented me with a new estimate to repair the bridge for $3,000, which made me even more upset. That response told me the practice was backtracking and ultimately avoiding any financial responsibility, even after admitting the bridge work was performed improperly. At my last, and likely, final visit, Dr. Pierson agreed to see me on a Saturday. During the appointment, he asked me to explain my dental history. We discussed my 2 previous implants and told me my implants should have lasted 40 years. He attributed its failure after only 10 years, along with the premature breakage of my bridge, to teeth grinding. He criticised the dentist, Dr Jordan, who performed the bridge work, and, more recently, the dentist, Dr Hirsch, who attempted to repair the bridge by suggesting that dentists recently out of school or under 10 years of experience perform the procedure differently than a more seasoned dentist, like himself. I was shocked to hear him throw the dentists he had hired under the bus. Throughout my visit, he continued to emphasize that the issue was with me, not "operator error" as stated by Dr Ash. When I asked, "Why didn't Dr. Jordan repair the bridge after the initial issue?" He didn't know why and failed to take any responsibility for his dentist's operator error, or offer to cover any of the costs for the new bridge. Rather, he presented me with a higher estimate for $3400 to 'properly' create and install a new bridge, performed by him. As I mentioned, I had been quoted estimates of approximately $3300 initially, $3000 by Dr Ash, and $3400 by Dr Pierson. Having been a business owner, I understand that mistakes occur, and at times, the owner needs to take responsibility for the error and do the right thing for the customer. Instead, Dr Pierson chose to brag about his abilities, throw his previous hires under the bus, and blame me, a loyal client of 7 years, for the bridge failure - a failure that should have been properly repaired after the first incident.

I would avoid seeing Dr. Schubert, though. Dr. Schubert is incredibly condescending, rude, and unfair. If you have dental issues, she explains them to you like you are a moron, or a five-year-old child. Also, if you struggle to get time away from work on a week day, drive 1/2 an hour one way to see a good dentist, miss your exit, and still arrive within the 15-minute grace period of your appointment time (even if it is a 3 hour, important appointment, and the last appointment of the work day.) Dr. Schubert will send you away. She would rather cost one client hours of their work day, and hundreds of dollars, than leave work even one minute past the hour. She seems power driven. I like the other doctors who seem to genuinely care about their patients and their practice. I highly recommend this office as long as you avoid Dr. Schubert.

Doctor, if you are reading this, next time be more cautious on your decision I guess and if you really mess things up please try your best to do the right thing. Maybe not charge the patient 104 dollars for nothing but pain. I visited Dr. Jon D. Libbesmier for endodontic therapy, asking beforehand if he believed the procedure was likely to be successful. He assured me it would be, so I went ahead with it. However, after enduring an hour and a half of intense pressure and discomfort--my jaw was sore from being open too long, and I could barely move my mouth--he informed me that the procedure had failed. This was after his initial confidence that it would work. Despite this failure, he said he would only charge me for the consultation, which my insurance covers at 80%. I thought, "At least it's not costing me too much financially, maybe just $16," and went to the front desk, still in significant pain and unable to speak or think clearly due to the numbing shots. The bill was $58, which confused me, but I was too weak and in too much pain to argue, so I paid it, planning to review the charges later. After a challenging recovery that involved significant pain, medication, and sick days, I discovered that an additional charge for a pulp test was added to my bill. This extra test made the entire consultation not covered by my insurance. As a result, I ended up paying $104 out of pocket, with no treatment done and my tooth in worse condition than before. I consider myself reasonable and am willing to pay for services I receive. All I ask is that the extra charge for the pulp test be removed, and that I only be billed for the consultation fee. However, when I tried to discuss this with the front desk, I was threatened with being sent to collections if I didn't pay. Avoid this dentist's office at all costs. They lack the necessary skills and professionalism, and their services are a complete waste of time and money. The total cost of the endodontic therapy was supposed to be $459 with my insurance, but because they failed the procedure and charged for something I didn't agree, I'm left paying $104 for nothing. It's ridiculous.
