I paid $600 in advance for a hair service that was never performed…read more I arrived early for my appointment and waited in my car in the very first parking spot directly in front of the salon. After waiting long enough to be called inside, I approached one of the stylists who was with another client and asked if Tina was ready for me. She told me that Tina had already left. We literally made eye contact, and she had seen me sitting in my car waiting for my appointment. What makes this even more upsetting is Tina's response claiming that I received a refund. I did not receive a refund--not one penny. I can honestly swear that on everything in my life. I contacted my credit card company, and I was told that Tina disputed the charge and they sided with her. Regardless, I never received my $600 back, and I received no hair service whatsoever. This experience affected me far beyond losing the money. It caused me so much anxiety and distrust that I became extremely hesitant to have my hair professionally done. Since then, I have generally only felt comfortable getting a basic haircut and maybe a few highlights, and even that is rare. I may get my hair done once or twice a year because I simply don't trust people the way I used to. I am leaving this review because I don't want anyone else to have the same experience. Please be careful, especially when you're meeting a stylist for the first time, having a consultation, and being asked to pay the full amount in advance. I paid with the genuine intention of getting my hair done. Instead, I drove away with no service and, from my perspective, a $600 loss. I learned a very important lesson from this: I will never again pay the full amount for a service before the service has been completed. Please do your research, protect yourself, and don't automatically trust someone simply because they appear professional or friendly. I hope my experience helps someone else avoid going through what I went through.

Kanisha is truly one of a kind…read more I was looking desperately for someone that would do a hair color removal and although there wasn't many reviews on Yelp for Kanisha's business, I decided to look her up on google, and I'm so very glad that I did. All of the positive reviews spoke very highly of her which was enough reason for me to reach out. After a couple of back and forth messages, I decided to book a consultation. They say that first impressions are everything and honestly, she was beyond welcoming! She was honest and didn't set me up with false hope/expectations. She was also mindful enough to give me the option of going in for my color correction in sessions until reaching the desired goal. That of course made it easier to plan ahead financially! I was also very unsure of my color objective after the color correction was to be done, but of course Kanisha was always patient through it all and just listened. She was always full of ideas and constant encouragement to choose a color that made me happy! And let me tell you, she truly did. She went above & beyond and jumped through hoops to help me reach my desired color. It was one heck of a ride trying to find the shade of my dreams, but Kanisha made sure I did not leave her chair until I was 100% happy with the end result. Now, where the heck are you going to find someone else like that? Let me tell you, you won't! Don't even waste your time looking anywhere else. Just book your next appointment with Kanisha. You won't be disappointed!

I had a phenomenal experience last week with Zondra! This was my first time visiting Edge, and I…read moreused the online booking system with such ease. When I met Zondra, I had very dry, straight, box-colored hair with lots of grays growing in. She is a great listener, was receptive to what I expressed I wanted, and we worked together to come up with a beautiful plan for balayage (first time I've ever done anything beyond a single color to my hair). She took care of my color and cut in exactly 3 hours, which was 2 hours shorter than the original quoted time. Such a relief!! She guided me in selecting the appropriate hair products to bring my hair back to health. Zondra was kind, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and a pleasure to have work on my hair. She is the first stylist whose post-hair appt advice I am fully following. I will definitely be back to maintain the balayage or try something new!
