Beyond the convenience of not having to drive anywhere, our therapist (who has an amazing contact with our 3-year old) brings educational materials and toys with her and varies them in a progressive fashion so that my daughter is always excited in advance to see her and work/play together. She also created a personal binder for our girl with materials we can work on together in between sessions to practice what she learned. We have seen real progress in our daughter's speech within the first 2 weeks, which is hugely reassuring, motivating and exciting. They are on the higher price end but for me it was absolutely worth it for the quality of work and not having to deal with traffic myself.
