I had bilateral knee replacement surgery. I received excellent work outs each time I went there. They were thoughtful and attentive to my progress and what would be good next steps. I had been going for months after shattering one part of my body, and fracturing another. Even…read morethough my surgeon/physician approved treatment for months in advance, the occupational therapist, Ty, who had been treating me for the shattered bone injury, refused to treat me any longer; berated and chastised me for not healing as she thought I should, told me my recovery was going backwards, and made a unilateral decision to stop treating me. She was incredibly hostile and unprofessional. It was a bizarre and disturbing experience. It's too bad, because all the physical therapists are all very good, as I was seeing them for my other fractured limb. My health care team recommended another center, where I will once again resume treatment, for both my injuries, as instructed by my surgeon/physician.

I called several places and inquired about their services and scheduling. I selected Holistic Occupational Therapy not just because they were near but because they asked for my number to have a therapist call me to answer my questions. They wanted to make sure that they could provide the services I needed and explained the services I inquired about. When I went in for the appointment the therapist did a thorough exam, asked questions, recorded my expectations, and explained the plan of care and the time and expectations. She then sent the information to my doctor for agreement and approval. BTW, my surgeon was very impressed. I never felt rushed and all my questions were answered. I have had various physical therapies before but I was most impressed by the online program that she provided. As I did my exercises at home I was able to let her know my pain level and the number of repetitions with each exercise. Therefore, in my next session, she would be able to measure my success from home and at the clinic. It made me feel more in control of my success!
