Is that even legal? I'm sure antidepressants for some can be life changing and there is a place for them. however, I was very upset how medications were discussed with my daughter without her and I discussing them 1st. I expressed my concern that she needed to talk to me 1st before recommending antidepressants. after my talk and a few more sessions, she basically told me that she couldn't help my daughter and needed to end the sessions. My daughter had formed an attachment to her and felt very abandoned by her. Let's just say, that this was the worst experience with this therapist. I'm so fed up with our system that pushes our kids towards pharmaceutical medications. Happy to say that after her, we saw a more holistic therapist and my daughter is thriving now. Needless to say that I felt like I had to post this review to warn other parents that do your due diligence on picking your child's therapist, interview them extensively and make sure you have shared values.

She discovered a problem and now I'm getting it taken care of in a proactive way instead of on an emergency basis. Dr. Rabinovitz is on time yet she somehow never seems rushed or bothered. For anyone with intense daily anxiety, time is very important. We need help from the hell in our minds asap. Dr. Nassar seems to be another example of a, "pay me first and then I'll tell you if I can potentially help you" psychologist. With that mind set, those if us on the edge and needing help will just have to go through several first visits with several psychologist and tell our story and explain our symptoms several times and pay several hundreds of dollars in the meantime. And if you're like me, there are times you have laid in bed in the deepest of anxiety hells, contemplating pulling the trigger just to escape the intense fear in your head. The clock may be running out on people like you and me. We don't have time for psychologist that won't simply say, "yes, I've seen this before and I believe I can help. I'll have my office manager contact you." Hang in there. There are good psychologist out there. And we'll find them. I hope.

He's a very good listener and he helped me out a lot. I can remember him telling me, that everyone in their own right could possibly have emotional/mental issues. Everyone could possibly have a bi-polar type condition. He kept it real with me as well as himself. So regardless of who he is living with (it is shacking, not Shaking...) if he was living with a woman, then she obviously was separated. Dr. Kahn is a good doctor with a lot of knowledge of different types of personality, behavior health and emotional issues. On our first visit, we met with Dr. Ofelia Mandock and she was awesome. She was very attentive to my little guy and extremely caring. She talked to him the entire time she was seeing him and made him feel at ease. He was only six weeks old but he smiled and cooed at her so much it almost made me jealous. (almost) The second visit was his 2 month checkup where he got 4 shots and an oral treatment. While he got his shots she made sure my baby was alright. I had his arms and talked to him, while she was very gentle. Dr. Mandock is and will be my son's pediatrician as long as I can help it. I'm very pleased with this practice. I also love the fact they are open after 6p on Thursdays which makes it easy for working parents, like us, to make routine appointments and not miss work.

We moved to Briarvista after it was recommended to us by a friend and a lactation consultant. We have been exceedingly satisfied with our care at Briarvista.
