Got the BEC on everything bagel: crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, muenster, and cheddar cheese. The everything bagel has good flavor & lots of seeds (it is a tad on the salty, but still ono)! I just wish the egg was more fluffy and in a brick, it was on the crumbly side. Not bad price ($13). Service is fast and friendly. It is outdoor dining in the shade, so just be mindful that it can be warm on a hot day. Parking is tight since it's only street parking.

FanTali'stastic... Love that Tali's has found a new home after moving from the Ward area and that it not too far being on Waimanu Street right beside Pacifica Condo or if you know the area behind @OurSpace. Love the industrial setting as it does give the comfort vibe but it's pretty much an outdoor setting so for some it can get quite hot though it is shaded and with lots of seating it's a lovely spot to start your day here. Parking is the biggest issue with many are reserved they do have three stalls in the front which I was lucky to grab as I came decently early after their 7am opening. With lots of option either plain, with shear or a loaded Sammie is what I got "the Jewish deli" that's 5oz pastrami, Swiss, housemade spicy brown mustard and pickles on a bagel of your choice which was everything of course. Omg love the bagel that's crispy and chew so fresh and yummy that mustard...wooo when straight to clear my sinuses lol was good and strong the I don't like pickles but let me tell you I love theirs so fresh as my sandwich had some fresh dill from the pickles omg yum...pastrami perfect and delicious so tender and flavorful...simply delicious but that mustard is really showing me who's the boss. As this is their first day of opening to make it easy on their staff they kept it simple with no mini bagel or flights which is what I do recommend and is a great way to try the different options they have I think for the volume of folks that are here says that it's worth the wait. Love cozy spots like this where you get something made just for you and they do have slushies by the way which I haven't tried yet but sounds absolutely amazing Israeli iced coffee and Shaloha slush which is likikoi with tahini pomegranate drizzle that I'll definitely be back for but as they trying to get back in the groove there will be a wait so please be patient and kind as these women are rocking it. Thank you!

Maybe their sandwich is better but it was pretty pricey. We got 4 bagels. It was good. But just a bit too pricey

Really disappointing bagel. Eggs were terrible- over scrambled, dry and broken into tiny curds. Not enough seating available either.

My first time having breakfast at Tali's Bagels & Schmear and it was before they closed down…read more One of the things that I learned was Bialy is the cousin of a bagel. It is baked instead of boiled which gives it a softer texture. The other thing that I learned was peaches & cream, caramelized onions and lemon dill is a delicious combination. I ordered a Classic bialy with a pick of peaches & creams and lemon dill schmear. The lemon dill schmear had a mix of cream cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest and dill. The BEC which was scrambled eggs, Muenster, cheddar cheese and bacon with my pick of poppy seeds bagel and a Local Fizzie, POG flavored. The service was great, and recommended the peaches & cream. I'm glad the business is active after the ward shutdown.

They have a pretty organized set up there, sad that Ward will be tearing down soon, I hope they have another location to set up shop at, because this was, indeed, a great experience. I went to New York City a few years ago for the first time and I was told by many friends that I have to try the pizza and bagels in NYC. I did try both and I actually found my favorite pizza in New Jersey to be honest (I have a Yelp review on that). But the bagels were pretty much great everywhere. I had several, but i'm told it's the real deal in NYC. I'm from Hawaii, I get how people are particular about their food. Hawaii food is way up there in rank. But this bagel went beyond my bagel expectations, and let me tell you why. First of all, they took the time to explain to this small time local mind, what everything was, like schmear and types of bagels, to be exact. We came close to closing, so the options were limited, which probably worked in my favor and indicisiveness. I chose the egg bagel and it was very delicious and the schmear, which was really underplayed in description was WOW!! Tasty and so smooth and creamy and dreamy...lol, I wish I bought more, cause i'm making my own mouth water. Long story short, it was great, worth the wait and definitely filling to perfection!! I'm no bagel expert, by no means, but this was my favorite. I cant wait to try other flavors in the near future!! Great Job Tali's Bagels & Schmear and by the way, your staff is pretty amazing, but i'm sure you know this already!!

TLDR: Long lines even at opening, customizable options but consistently good!…read more Can't say I haven't had authentic acai up until this point. For some reason, I totally forgot that good acai could be found in Hawaii!! Hello!! Its not just the fresh fish ya'll I walked here and there was still a line by 7, and even longer one when I went the next day, but it does move quite fast, especially with some of the workers letting people know they have a sit down resturant next door so just food for thought if you want more actual food options! As it stands they have quite an extensive list of juice, coffee, acai. I decided to go with a more basic route but instead subbing my fruit for what was in season which was mango, lilikoi and lychee. You order at the front and they call your number. They have some seating around as well but if you're at the hawaiian center you can just sit downstairs. The fruit alone was out of this world. I was actually so focused on that I wasn't even thinking about if the acai was good which I think it was! It comes out rather creamy, not frozen or icy. The price is a little steeper than what I've had in the past but honestly the fresh fruit alone made it extremely worth it. A regular sized bowl was quite filling! I came back the next day and it was still just as good. I know some people probably prefer different locations than others but I can rep this one for sure. Its in a very touristy place, maybe even the mecca so if you want to avoid that then avoid any location in waikiki

What made it even better was the toppings: I had a salmon bagel...and it came with creamy cream cheese, sprouts, tomatoes and capers! The sandwich was thick with goodness! The salmon was not your typical lox but almost like a piece of salmon sushi on top. If you don't like salmon, there are other fish choices too!!! The service was lovely! The staff was very patient in explaining the menu and helping me decide on my ideal meal! Thanks to the great staff and hospitality! As for ambience: it's more of a take away place! You order inside at the counter and they calm out your name. There is a small patio area that you can sit at. Lastly there are some parking right out front! Thanks for the great experience!

I so wanted to write something special for my first time here but alas, I'm not able to this time. I love that the location is nearby my neighborhood and provide a place to sit and enjoy your bagels right outside along with three parking stalls. This was my first time and I found their bagels beautiful and big although on the pricy side, it looked amazing. Loved the variety of selection too but wish there were pics since I'm not huge bagel person. Initially I was there to place a large order for an event and had difficulty ordering online so I came in. The event was two days away and I wanted to make sure I could get it fresh that morning. I was surprised though when the workers told me I was unable to place the order on that day as they wouldn't be able to ensure they could provide it two days later. Hmmm, I found that strange since I was placing my order two days prior. I was told to come back the next day despite me relaying the message that I had difficulty ordering online for pick up and that I had already come in person to order and prepay. They only said they would let the manager know about the online part but didn't offer to take my order for the event which wasn't helpful nor did they try to make suggestions either. In the end, I decided to purchase my bagels somewhere else and just ordered a dozen for my physician and his staff and some for home. I did try one specialty bagel and three of their spreads for the event. The counter girls were ok but not overly helpful so I decided to help another business that would ensure my order. I really wanted to support local, but this one was a tough one

Kyoto Style Cold Brew. That's all needs to be said…read more My first introduction to Aloha Bakehouse & Cafe was at the Made in Hawaii Festival where I sampled its amazing tasting coffee. Found out that there are three locations in Kaka'ako, Downtown, and this one in Kaimuki. It's located at the corner of Waialae and 8th Avenue, across from The Curb and Kaimuki Auto Repair. Only metered parking along Waialae or street parking on the perpendicular streets. Inside was spacious and had an industrial feel with its concrete floor, metal chairs, metal racks, and with actual renovations in process in the rear of the space. Menu is floor level (sorry tall people!). There's a variety of coffee, tea, lemonade, blended drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, salads, its special Aloha Bread, and etc. There's a lot to read! There are multiple choices of bread for sandwiches (special bread shown next to the register. Be sure to check!). Needless to say, I took a long time to decide! The Breakfast Sandwich came with egg, bacon, ham, and American cheese. Chose the croissant, which was the smaller size variety. This was good with a generous amount of egg and bacon. It was a hearty sandwich. The Tuna Sandwich on Everything Bagel was good. Nice crisp on the bagel. A decent simple sandwich with fresh ingredients. I would have preferred more mayo and the canned tuna to have flavor. Regular brewed coffee was very good. Brewed very well with solid coffee flavor. Exactly the flavor I remembered when I first tried it. The star was the Kyoto Style Cold Brew. It was smooth, clean, bright, and strong. The flavor maintained throughout--even with the ice cubes melted in. Overall, a decent experience. The sandwiches were good. Coffee was excellent. Friendly service. Can't wait to come back to try more things and get more Kyoto style cold brew!

It's everything... I…read moredon't mean just the bagel...where have I been? I do visit Kailua as a getaway for some personal time on my days off and probably didn't think twice since we do have Tali's in town and love to visit the Lokahi Markets here but since fellow Elite Jackie K loves bagels though that this would be the perfect way to start our morning. Which is in Kailua Center along with several other biz so parking is free but shared is a generous amount that's very appreciated in this neighborhood that is one of the biggest challenge to find but at this early in the day it's super easy to find right in front of the front door. Walking in I loved the vibe very open and with the service counter in the back the guys there are just so nice and friendly while being patient as we scan their menu which is slightly different from town but knew that I wanted a sandwich...and it was the Tuna Melt. Topped with cheddar, Swiss (no sprouts) you're also able to top your sandwich with Lettuce, Tomatoes, Cucumber (no onion) is amazing and absolutely loved it and with the staff suggestion of Everything bagel was it and loved it. While they do have coffee that's about it and nothing much else as I really wanted water they were polite enough to offer tap water...not for me. Their seating is fun as some of the tables are privately divided but very adorably decorated. There is truly a reason they won 1st for Bagel is they certainly know what they're doing and is nice to have them in a couple of locations along with various types and mini size as well for the flight or just a simple bite to schmear or not to schmear is the question as here you have that and so much more. Maybe our experience would've been different if we had ordered a different type of bagel but we went with a staff member's recommendation. She mentioned the garlic bagel was one of the most popular so it seemed like a no brainer to try it. (I got the OG NYC on a garlic bagel and my husband got the BEC on a garlic.) SO incredibly salty and hard to chew. The garlic was so overpowering and it got stronger with each bite. It also left a very strong, burnt taste in my mouth. I usually try to power through to finish my food but unfortunately I had to throw this away. My husband did the same. I don't know if this was an off batch of garlic bagels but considering the price, I was pretty disappointed that food had to go to waste. I have two young kids and I got them the mini ube cream cheese bagel. She liked the ube but my daughter and son who usually love bagels also did not finish theirs. The filling was generous but overwhelming.
