My new go to bagel place! The staff is so friendly! And the bagel is fluffy and perfect.

I love this business. They're amazing people and if you're in Fishtown or nearby this is the place to get fresh homemade Mediterranean food. It is truly the real deal and their bagels are amazing!!

Nice breakfast spot nestled amongst residential buildings. Loved the rice pudding and the owner allowed us to taste first before buying, she even said "if you don't like it, it's free." Obviously, we loved it. The bagels are authentic NY bagels with the owner from NY, having been a well known chef previously in NYC. It's a to go only spot, unfortunately, no eating in. Great mom & pop shop and we highly recommend!

I was craving a bagel one morning when staying in Fishtown and after looking up a few places I decided to check out Talia's Grille. I'm so happy I did. The people who worked there were so sweet and the food was great. The bagels had a great texture and the cream cheese to bagel ratio was perfect (there's nothing worse than getting a bagel with a bad bagel:cream cheese ratio. We've all been there. You know what I mean.) I also grabbed an iced coffee (and, random, an order of tabouli) which I enjoyed as well. Go here! One thing to note (and I'm not sure if it's always like this, but just in case) - when you walk in, there are chairs set up a few feet from the door, blocking you from getting closer to the register. That's intentional and you should order from behind the chairs. They will take your order from across the room and walk up to you to give you your food and/or to take your payment.

This place has lots of customers every hour of the day and after having a few of their sandwiches, I understand why. Their signature Hershel's club sandwich is my favorite with the Russian dressing and sauerkraut that goes perfectly with the juicy and tenderness of the pastrami. It's not too pricey either when compared to the delicatessens in NYC which I am a fan of and dare I say, is on the same level as the famous institutions in the big apple. The place itself is very crowded and noisy so finding a table can be difficult so definitely come with a friend to look for seating while the other one orders food.

I had the turkey on wheat with American cheese. I opted for the Russian dressing since I'm not a fan of hot deli mustard. I had it toasted panini style. The service was quick, friendly and you could tell they took pride in what they were doing. My wife opted for the pastrami on wheat with may and provolone cheese, also panini style. She had potato salad as a side and the coleslaw. Both were good. The Marketplace is a very large (formerly Penn Station) turned open market area covering food, produce, meat market, flowers, artisans etc. A wonderful place. The food was awesome the meats were amazingly tasty and worth the price!

When ordering coffee, I'll let them know what I want (drip coffee) with whatever kind of milk (with heavy oat milk enough to change colour) and sweetener (with sugar please). Then you let them know any sides you want. I may or may not be saying it a bit quickly, because I'm half awake, and running on auto pilot, because I've lived in the Northeast for so long. The absolutely delightful lady behind the counter got it all recorded, fired, and sorted as and when it was coming out of my mouth. Confirmed everything, collected my payment, and we kept it pumping. As soon as the coffee was ready, called me over to grab it, because it was chilly and rainy while we waited. When one of the items I was ordering was taking a long time, the staff let me know that the item was taking a while longer than expected to finish cooking. My food came out perfectly done. Also, when they pass you your food, they confirm how many things you're ordering to make sure you get all your stuff. This operation is efficient, fast, and friendly. It's inexpensive for what you're getting. Coffee is excellent. Bagels have that snappy exterior, and chewy insides. Hash browns are crisp and piping hot. Coffee is rich and dark. Genuinely, you can't have any complaints when everything is done just right.

Quick service and the sandwich was good and filling. It was a good quick breakfast before our…read moreconference but wouldn't necessarily frequently stop by. Nothing stood out to me.

This was my first time actually trying it and it definitely lived up to the hype of the Yelp reviews. My wrap had chicken, hummus, lettuce, and feta, and it was so delicious. My chicken was very good, very tender and seasoned well. It also had a great creamy hummus to tie all the other ingredients together. The feta added just enough saltiness to balance out the rest of the flavors. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and my wrap was extremely soft, yet still maintained its form completely as I ate. I also ordered a Nutella hot chocolate. It was delicious! It was my fist time having a Nutella hot Chocolate. I usually just get a normal hot chocolate. The pita chips served as an additional side item with this sandwich and proved to be quite enjoyable. The pita chips had a good crunch and were able to pair with the wrap very well. I ended up eating all of the pita chips! It was a great lunch and I enjoyed my wrap! I would likely order from Café Square One again in the future, especially, if that wrap is still on their menu!

I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

The corned beef was an enticing vibrant pink, tender and juicy, with a perfectly balanced and pure saltiness that accentuated the beef's natural flavor. The scrambled eggs were incredibly smooth and creamy, complemented by the rich, melted cooper sharp cheese. The rye was toasted with butter, giving it a thin, crispy crust and a soft interior--a bit softer than Hershel's East Side Deli's, fragrant but not greasy. Every part was delicious, and the combination was harmonious and delightful. The portion of ingredients was very generous, definitely worth the $14.50 price. The service was a little slow, but the moment you tasted it, you would forgive everything!
