I am writing this review because I believe other luxury handbag owners deserve to know what…read morehappened when I trusted Fashionphile with one of my most valuable possessions. I consigned my Hermès Chevre de Coromandel Birkin 40 Cognac, 2004 H in Square, through Fashionphile's consignment process. I trusted Fashionphile's reputation and expertise to handle it properly. Fashionphile received my bag. I have documentation confirming receipt, and I also have photographs provided by Marco, a Fashionphile employee, showing my Birkin in Fashionphile's possession. There is absolutely no question that Fashionphile had custody and control of my handbag. I have been battling this situation since May 16, 2026. Fashionphile was returning the bag back to me. However, through what appears to be their own negligence, they shipped my handbag to an address in a state where I do not even live. Let that sink in. A company specializing in luxury goods had possession of my Hermès Birkin and then shipped it to a completely different state that has no connection to me. This was not a situation where the package was lost before it reached Fashionphile. They had already received the bag. This was not a dispute over whether they ever possessed it. They did. I have proof. Yet despite having possession of my property, they shipped it to the wrong location and my bag has never been returned to me. Since May 16th, I have spent countless hours making calls, sending emails, gathering records, reviewing tracking information, preserving evidence, and trying to get answers. What should have been a straightforward transaction turned into weeks of stress, frustration, and uncertainty over the whereabouts of my handbag that should have remained secure while in Fashionphile's care. The most disturbing part is the lack of confidence this experience has given me in Fashionphile's handling of high-value items. Customers consign luxury goods with Fashionphile because they believe the company has systems in place to protect those items. My experience suggests otherwise. If a documented Hermès Birkin can be received by Fashionphile and then shipped to a state where the owner does not even reside, that raises serious concerns about the company's internal procedures and accountability. Beyond the financial loss, this situation has caused tremendous stress. Luxury handbags are not just expensive possessions. For many collectors, they represent years of effort, and investment. To have a company entrusted with that property lose control of it has been incredibly upsetting. As of today June 12,2026, I am still seeking the return of my Hermès Chevre de Coromandel Birkin 40 Cognac, 2004 H in Square, or fair compensation for its loss. I hope Fashionphile finally takes responsibility and resolves this matter appropriately. Until then, I feel obligated to share my experience so that others can make an informed decision before entrusting Fashionphile with their valuable property.

It's a medium-sized warehouse space chock full of tons of boards and board accessories. Boards range from tiny finish to classic longboards - new and used offering (the used boards I saw were in loft section and they had some really cool stuff there). He was super laid back, knowledgeable, and helped me find the perfect longboard for where I am in my surfing journey. After I made my decision, he walked me through everything, explained why he recommended the board, threw on an initial wax job, and even hooked me up with a few bars for the drive home. The best part? Everything he told me about the board turned out to be true. On my first session, the difference was immediate. The board performed exactly as he described and made the transition from my old board incredibly easy. A few weeks later, I called the owner, John, just to let him know how happy I was with the experience. My wife and I visited this store to enjoy the fun experience of getting her some new clothes, and…read moresadly it was not enjoyable at all because of the awful treatment we were subjected to by the three staff members present that day. Some brief context: the store closes at 7pm on Sundays, and we arrived at 6pm. My wife excitedly picked out over 30 items to try on (17 of which we purchased). She was in the fitting rooms by 6:30 pm. Now, future customers deserve to know the details of this visit: The sales associate, Daniella, was semi-patient at best and lazy and 'inconvenienced' at worst. Whenever my lovely, polite and respectful wife asked for a different size, Daniella either said they didn't have it or would take a short walk to nowhere and return with a "no" answer, and this was the majority of the time. On one occasion, I said I would go look for the item myself since she wouldn't, and guess what, I returned with a smaller size that did fit and that we added to our purchase. By 7:20 pm it was obvious Daniella was frustrated that we were still in the store, even though my wife's "Yes" rack far outnumbered the no's, and all while she folded and sorted clothes. It wasn't as if she was standing at my wife's side, not at all. By 7:25 pm, after a shared look and an "omg" gesture with Daniella, Dalton, the cashier, came back to the fitting rooms and asked if we needed him to carry our purchase to the register, stating they were closed. My wife was visibly stressed from their urgency to get her out of the store, and she only had three items left to try on. I was furious. I reminded them not even restaurants worth a second visit force customers from their table and kick them out with to-go bags in hand. They allow them to finish. While my wife was completing her selections, Daniella, Dalton, and a woman named Rita performed what appeared to be their usual closing duties, like folding and re-racking clothes, and straightening up. They clearly had things to do while my wife finished choosing the items she wanted. Our presence was not preventing them from doing so. Once I politely but sternly told them their behavior was upsetting to us, their behavior became even worse. With exchanges of sarcastic glances between Daniella, Dalton, and now Rita, Rita stormed into the fitting rooms and demanded we go to the front to make our purchase. This is not an exaggeration on my part. Rita was spastic. This is EXACTLY what Rita did. The frustrated look on my wife's face was heartbreaking. I said to Rita "YOU HAVE NO GRACE" and "SHAME ON YOU" and walked away from her. Shockingly, Rita walked behind me and spewed her arrogant verbal vomit at me as if she was in her own living room, which clearly is her usual self outside of the workplace. I turned around to face her and said "Do not make this worse, do not speak to me another word." The final touch of this horribly failing team of three was Dalton's denying the likelihood of our being able to have a $200 blazer steamed to remove the wrinkles if we were to bring it in the following day, as I suggested, when they were "open" again. He said it wasn't likely possible, despite my mentioning the electrical outlet marked "Steamer" in red letters at the entrance to the fitting rooms. I saw it. We were at the register by 7:39pm to begin our $700 purchase, while Daniella and Rita continued their usual after closing duties. It became clear to me at this time that the three of them were doing the same thing the whole time we were there. In other words, they had already began "closing" before we even walked in the door. We didn't delay them whatsoever. The three of them did this while we were left to help ourselves, which we did. In summary, this was, by far, no comparison, the worst retail experience we have ever encountered, ever, anywhere, by any type of business. This Ann Taylor store is one to be avoided. The lack of regard for customers here is at a systemic level that can only stem from it being inherent within the people managing the place. Grade: Epic F. Stay away from this one.

The clothing quality: Really cannot beat what they offer here. When they say that their clothing is soft, it not only is soft, but remains soft after repeated washes and wears. Their double knit henleys get worn as pajamas, washed HOT and thrown in the dryer and they're still as soft as the day I bought them; their dresses and t-shirts haven't shrunk or pilled and are also still as soft as the day I bought them. I really can't stress how impressed I am with Marine Layer's quality. The fabrics are thick and cottony, usually higher quality versions of common synthetics, and luxuriously thick. The customer service: Marine Layer has one of the best return policies I've ever seen, hands down-- I believe it's up to a year and even if washed, which honestly says a lot about their confidence in their product. It's no Nordstrom's or AE, who have unlimited return timeframes, but honestly probably for the best as Marine Layer isn't backed by a gigantic corporation. (And this is just speaking for myself, but I haven't gotten any reasons to return their products, so I would never take advantage of their generous return policy anyhow!) Speaking for the UTC location specifically, one of the managers honestly is just the most gracious person.
