Chor Muang
Simran B.

We visited Talay on a Thursday around 7:15pm. It wasn't too busy, and they seated us quickly. The service was really good throughout our visit. To eat, we started by splitting the chor muang dumplings. These were gorgeous purple dumplings, but I found that their flavor was very delicate. The wrapper was somehow both gummy and overly delicate and broke. They were okay, but definitely more of an aesthetic dish. Next, we got one of the specials, which was a small tart shell filled with raw tuna. This was good, but I felt that the sauce overpowered the delicate fish. For mains, I ended up ordering the kor moo yang (pork jowel). This was the star of the show, it was super tender and flavorful. The relish was barely necessary to be honest. I'd definitely order this again, or get it as an appetizer to split with a few people before the main. To drink, I was really surprised that none of their cocktails were modifiable considering that they have a full bar. They didn't have any cocktails that were speaking to me, so I ended up ordering a zero proof drink, the honey's passion, with a shot of vodka on the side to spike it. This was a good solution. I would probably not go to talay again for food because there are so many good Thai places here, and the food just didn't stand out, but I'd definitely hit the bar for some drinks if I had more time.

Water container super dirty too

Ordered Pad Ke Mow lunch special that came with 1 veggie egg roll, and a soup that tasted curry based, hint of coconut and some broccoli and cabbage ( no spice). I did med spice with shrimp for my lunch. Not super spicy but nice kick. Came on a Friday afternoon solo. Ate outside. The able wasn't really clean. It was closest to the road but it was in a corner and chill. Music a little louder outside. Inside looked nice. Waitress seemed to rush. She gave me dirty utensils. A fork at a peanut in it.... A guy brought my food, I asked for other utensils from him, he also seemed to be in a rush. It was chill but I took off stars for the lack of service from the waitress. She never came to check on me at all once I got my food. The water she gave me to refill my own water was also dirty. Pics included. Hope my food was clean. It was good. Parking is street parking so you'll walk a bit possibly.

I came to Talay Thai for lunch with a colleague, and we had such a wonderful experience! We started with the veggie spring rolls and the roti bread, which comes with a delicious green curry dipping sauce. Both were fantastic. For my entrée, I had the beef pad kee mow--flat rice noodles with bell peppers, Thai basil, chili, and their signature spicy wok sauce. It was flavorful, spicy, and absolutely delicious! My colleague had the shrimp pad kra plow with Thai basil, chili, bell peppers, and rice, and loved it as well. Of course, we had to finish with the mango sticky rice, which was the perfect dessert. Everything was delicious, and the service was superb! The restaurant is also very nicely decorated, making it a great atmosphere for lunch or dinner. One thing to note: parking can be a little tricky. I parked in the parking structure behind the restaurant, which worked out well. Overall, a fantastic meal and a great experience. I'll definitely be back!

Came here with a group of 8 for my friends birthday and was delighted with a perfect experience. Booking a reservation was easy. Not only did they seamlessly handle our larger group with ease but they offered excellent service paired with amazing food and drinks all delivered in a timely fashion. Be reminded that the tip is already included with large groups. Talay is a Thai cuisine restaurant and the gorgeous interior matches the elevated menu. I was immediately in awe of the gorgeous interior design featuring wooden accents and furniture, neutral color tones and soft lighting. I felt like I was in Thailand at a resort on the beach. For drinks every single person had something visually pleasing and equally delicious. My drink was the Gimme Guava which is Vodka, plum syrup, guava and lime. It's a bit pricier for the quantity but worth it for the quality and presentation. For food they do have a seafood forward Thai menu but I stuck to a classic and got the Keaw Wan Gai which is white meat chicken in green curry, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, Thai basil, coconut milk. It was delicious and the portion was very fair sized in my opinion. Every single dish on our table was beautiful and each person LOVED their dish. I think it's really great that my vegan friend had delicious options as well. He ordered the Por Pia Tod which was spring rolls and they were delicious. He also got some type of grilled tofu and let me just say it was tasty and cooked to perfection. Overall it was a excellent experience and I am so excited to come back and try other dishes. This is the perfect spot for a date night, special celebration or a lovely lunch.

If you look closely, you'll see a hair string

I spent over $200 ordering from Talay through Uber Eats, and honestly, I'm pissed. The fried rice was the only thing that was actually good. I paid almost $28 for a shrimp dish, and they literally gave me ONE shrimp. ONE! And it wasn't even fresh. It had that strong, fishy taste that shrimp shouldn't have. The soft shell crab tasted old, and there was actually a hair fried into it. The Pad Thai was terrible too. It had this nasty, bitter, acidic taste that reminded me of throw up. What I don't understand is why restaurants think it's okay to send out food like this. I don't care if someone orders through Uber Eats, DoorDash, or sits down in your restaurant. You're still representing your business, and people are still spending their hard earned money. Every customer deserves the same quality and care. I really don't understand all the great reviews because my experience was awful. I'm not spending over $200 just to throw most of the food away. If you're going to charge these prices, at least have enough respect for your customers to serve decent food. Such a waste of money.

Delicious!!! This Thai restaurant isn't just aesthetically pleasing. The food, service and vibes were fantastic. To start we had the paypa salad and the spring rolls they were both very good and fresh. I had the green curry chicken it was to die for.. all the flavors bursting over hot white rice it was so good I can't wait to go back. My husband had the chicken pad thai & my bestie had the duck and both were delicious. If your in the area check them out it's a beautiful restaurant in the heart of downtown.

Food here is always fantastic. Eat here during lunch and was always provided a soup as a starter. Love it! The pad Thai or the fried rice are really good. Always my to go order. The staffs are helpful and nice as well.

Five shiny and bright stars for one of Orlando's amazing Thai restaurants! Love love love this place so much! You cannot go wrong with anything off their menu. The location is beautiful and staff is welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed their soups, noodles, and appetizers. Sometimes I dream of this place lol and can't wait to go back!

TALAY is okay at BEST. There are definitely other Thai cuisine-based restaurants that surpass TALAY. However, there's no need to dive into that. What is GOOD about this place is that the service is usually ALWAYS very quick. Very rarely have I waited long at this restaurant for anything, be it help from staff, food, or drinks. They should really pride themselves on that fact because sometimes it is hard to come by such efficient service - especially during busy dinner hours. The restaurant itself is so beautiful. Very IG worthy! It looks lovely in the daytime, and during the evening, the mood lighting indoors adds to the overall intimate feel of the space. There is also a good amount of seating outdoors, if you want to eat outdoors. Noir Bar is connected via a not-so-hidden corridor/passageway. Within that passageway are also the shared restrooms for both locations. As far as the food goes, it is OKAY. Again, it isn't the best, but it most certainly is not BAD. I usually order one of my usual dishes. In my last adventure to TALAY, because I have been a handful of times, I went with their vegetable Pad Thai (Price: $17.00). It was chock-full of veggies, a thin rice noodle, eggs, bean sprouts, scallions, and peanuts (which they placed off to the side). The sauce this time around was a bit sweeter than my liking, but overall, I enjoyed my plate. I didn't order any of their seasonal cocktails, but I do love that they offer various seasonal cocktails (and seasonal menus) throughout the year. It is a great way to keep you going back. Pricing can get a little high pending what you order. However, a good chunk of the menu is "reasonable." Parking in this area is always a hassle, but it exists all around, and if you are lucky, you can get FREE street parking. All in all, it is a good place to visit. I really haven't had any bad experiences here either.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful patio. There is a good selection of items and drinks. It is a little pricy and sharing is a good idea to keep the cost down. We had two drinks the guava and tamarind but did not enjoy the flavors. For appetizers we had the roti with curry sauce...yum and spring rolls which both were very good. The food is presented well and staff are very courteous. For dinner tried shrimp with noodles, veggies with jasmine rice, crab fried rice and marinated picanha. The food came out a little slow and all otlf it was not hot. Good flavors with the shrimp, veggies, rice and the picanha was very tender and delicious. No room for dessert and took food home for tomorrow's lunch. Overall a good experience.

Came here for the first time and our visit was great. Our waitress was Naam and she made the service even better.Naam was very helpful and had great recommendations for us. The mango sticky rice drink was delicious the mango sticky rice amazing the chicken fried rice so tasty the noodles delicious the grilled steak was amazing the chicken wings were good. The sea bass in the lime sauce was excellent so good a must have. The flavor was like nothing I've tasted before. As for the ambiance it was so beautiful and elegant with a feel of a modern boho vibe. You are able to eat inside or outside which is always good for an option. When visiting Orlando again I will be back.

I love the intimate feel of this place. I enjoyed trying different small plates. The drink was so delicious. I also like that there is a speakeasy located in the back of this restaurant with an entirely different vibe. It's like you get two restaurants in one.

Passion Fruit mimosa

This automatically became my favorite Thai restaurant in Orlando! Great service and even better food! We ordered the oysters, which were delicious and came with a green sauce that had just the right amount of spice. We also had the Yum Ta Krai Salmon, which tasted incredibly fresh. The Goong Prik Kluea shrimp were large, flavorful, and perfectly cooked! Our favorite dishes of the night were definitely the chicken Tom Kha soup and the Pa Nang scallops. I love a good Tom Kha soup, and this was easily the best I've ever had! It was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, served over a special dish with a flame underneath to keep it hot throughout the meal, such a nice touch! The other standout was the Pa Nang scallops. Whoever makes the sauce for this dish is a genius! I almost wanted to grab a straw and drink the sauce by itself. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and the flavors were incredible. Wow! They also have a great drink menu, but we took advantage of their happy hour specials and ordered a passion fruit mimosa and a coconut mojito. Both had authentic, fresh fruit flavors and paired perfectly with the meal. There is also a speakeasy bar called NOIR, where you can hang out before or after dinner. Great music, great drinks, and definitely worth checking out!

There were two tables inside but seating outside too, which we decided to hang. The cone is a donut like pastry that had Nutella on the inside. The cone was filled and then a lot more overflowing. Now the caramel was dripping down making such a mess but I didn't mind it, it added to the experience of such an elaborate desert. Make sure you have plenty of napkins on hand! The seat I was sitting in had visible dirt on it and there was some dark long hairs on the seat. I'm not grossed out by that type of thing because if you know anyone with long hair, it just falls out. No big deal but I certainly didn't expect to see it on the seat I was sitting in. The tables and bases all need a thorough cleaning as well as other areas I noticed during our visit. Located off South Apopka Vineland Road on the Northbound side, Mango Mango is situated in a relatively new development and plaza (if you look at the satelite imagery from Google maps, it will still show undeveloped land as of June 2026). It's less than a 10 minute drive from the Disney Springs property, and about an 18 minute drive from Old Town/Fun Spot which is where we were staying for this particular trip coming from Tampa. As you arrive, you will find a spacious lot, however the actual parking spaces do appear limited (something to consider if you decide to have a large reunion here). Upon entering, you will find a very clean storefront and reception. Overall the store maintains a very neat and tidy appearance that is very welcoming and neutral when it comes to the varying demographics of customers. While we have been to Mango Mango before in a New Jersey location, this location provides a bit of table service (which we have not experienced prior) for dine-in which makes it a bit more intimate. The menu offers plentiful choices of sweets - from bowls with fresh fruits and ice cream, to your specialty drinks including boba. To call Mango Mango a boba shop would do it injustice, as this place truly shines as a hollistic dessert spot. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the selections. Each dish/drink is perfectly made to their own specifications. The best part is that none are overly sweet, which I feel is a crutch that most dessert spots experience. Highly recommend the mixed fresh fruit with sago and jelly! Wish this was in Tampa because this would give our usual boba spot a run for their money. This is a must have if you're in the area, so treat yourself after long hot day at the parks at Mango Mango!
