Such a delightful place in the Mitte neighborhood of Berlin. We had dinner and it was fantastic! It's a small place but we were able to get a table inside for our group of 4 people. Anyone that knows Takumi in Düsseldorf is probably going to be excited for this location in Berlin. Everything was authentically Japanese, delicious, and perfect. They have lunch specials of gyouza and karaage which are really great. We arrived at 11:50am as it opens at 12:00pm. By 12:05pm, every table in the restaurant was filled and a line was starting out the door. So be sure to get there before they open if you want a table quickly! Highly highly recommended. read more

I don't have much ramen near me, so any time I take a trip to the city I pop into a place. I was a little worried because I know a lot of ramen shops are small, so I popped in early at 5:30 expecting a wait. I didn't need to worry, the restaurant is large and inviting with traditional wood motif and pop culture ramen prints. We were seated right away. The experience was overall great except the ramen was just fine. I'm not an expert, but the miso broth didn't have the richness that I expect at a great ramen shop. The texture of the noodles was actually on point which is a surprise because that is usually where I find issues. The Chashu looked like it has been lightly browned after slicing which I haven't seen before. The drink menu was great. I had "Lucky" which was vodka based, and had a creamy citrussy flavor with a lychee finish. read more

This restaurant has one of the best Ramen I had in Berlin and comes close to what I had in Japan. I have been to quite some Ramen restaurants in my lifetime. It's hard to find an excellent authentic Ramen spot, but if you are reading this, stop and head to this restaurant. The restaurant is first come and first served, and you have to wait in line if you come on the weekend during lunch or dinner. They have a good option. I had the chicken ramen and added eyes to mine. The broth is tasty, and the texture of the Ramen is firm and soft. If the line is long, I won't wait for the table. I wish they had some type of sign-up sheet. read more

This is by far the best Ramen place in Berlin. The Ramen boom has reached this city as well, but most other places cannot do justice to the noodles. Regardless of how good the soup is, if the noodles aren't good, there's no point. Takumi - which started its 1st shop in Düsseldorf - has kept its quality consistently high. I used to love Takumi that's located in Düsseldorf. This ramen place had a bit of a plot twist- the ramens are vegetarian and I think vegan friendly in some cases and there's fake protein if you want it. Lol The service is usually quick but I hate it when it's freaking freezing outside and there's a 25+ person line during the rush hours of dinner..it's a really tiny location. Other than that, everyone is friendly and the appetizers are delicious. It's not a downside, but for those wanting a truly authentic experience maybe this isn't the place to be. read more

I was so amazed by their tan tan noodle. I was in Berlin for a week-long business trip and glad that I found this authentic Japanese Ramen place. I tried the chicken nanban tan tan noodle and it was just perfect. The broth was spicy but full with flavor. Also the ramen noodle was chewy. I also ordered gyoza, karaage chicken and edamame. Everything was very authentic and I enjoyed their service as well. All staff members were Japanese and they were fast in service with politeness. The waiting line got longer after 8 pm on a Sunday evening. They don't take reservation or name for wait list so you have to wait in line. I highly recommend Takumi if you are in Berlin searching for Japanese Ramen. read more

Super popular! We waited outside on a Monday night for about 20 minutes since the queue was filled. They didn't have an English menu for us but the server was very helpful! Their chicken was amazing! Service quick and friendly (japanese I assume). I've been there in the evening a few months ago - it was a quiet evening but might be busier at lunch time. I always hesitate to write bad reviews on Yelp. An economy based on personal experiences and opinions has the potential to prejudice family and small business. Unfortunately this restaurant has earned the honor to be my first bad Yelp review. Although bad service could be considered as part of Berlin folklore. Takumi'9 sapporo stuff manage to make an outstanding performance on this regard. Our waitress could not manage to get neither of our orders correctly. First she confused the drinks. Then, she managed to bring my choice (after 30 minutes of wait). We had to wait another 30 minutes so my friend could get his order. He did not asked for anything outstanding, just a simple ramen choice. After almost an hour of waiting, and several complains. We finally got his order, just to get disappointed again: They brought him the wrong one. He was forced to take it anyways. He was just starving after such long wait! As an act of courtesy I waited for his meal to arrive, that lead me to eat my dish cold. When we ordered the bill, no courtesy was offered to us. We had to fully pay for the meal, even for the ramen my friend never chose. As I complained once again to the waitress, and remind her about the fact that she brought every dish incorrectly. She only smiled and said: Yes. The food was incredibly mediocre. My teriyaki chicken was so salty it was uneatable!!!! The ramen was made of industrial noodles, just out of a package. There are several good ramen restaurants in Berlin. Please do not waste your money on Takumi'9 overpriced menu!!! Go to Cocolo instead! Is near by and worth the wait!!! read more

Although a little pricier than other ramen restaurants in Berlin, I found that Takumi 9 Sapporo is the best ramen I've had in this city. The soup is excellent and always served hot, which is important for ramen. The noodles as well as very good. The toppings are abundant compared to other places as well. I am from California where the ramen hype has been skyrocketing for years now. I'm always nervous getting asian food over seas but the staff speaking in Japanese was an immediate sign I was on to something in coming here. 50% of the customers coming in and out- an even greater sign.
