Pretty large ramen place but inauthentic food with some fairly consistently funky and off flavors.
They did not have pork buns, so started with some Karage chicken. Chicken was pretty heavily breaded and didn't seem crisp like other Karage.
Had some of the lady's miso soup and the broth seemed off with a weird taste and a lot of Chinese cabbage.
Had the black garlic butama ramen as this seemed like the best Tonkotsu option. The broth tasted funky and not like other Tonkotsu ramen's but mixing in the black garlic oil improved the flavor. The pork was also quite a bit different, a large number of thin pork slices, not thick chashu slices and not braised. The vegetables were also different, no sprouts or wood ear mushrooms however there was a decent quantity with Chinese cabbage, Nori, an egg, fried onions and bamboo shoots. So a decent quantity of toppings, just different than expected. Not a horrible bowl of ramen, just different and inauthentic.
Would not recommend, there must be (?) more authentic options than this. read more
