Exterior and poke ball they give while you wait
    Ashley F.

Came to Ramen Kingdom for my first meal when visiting Amsterdam, and it ended up being the best meal of the entire trip! The line outside is a bit intimidating, but they keep it moving very quickly. How it works is you wait in line near the door to be let inside to order on a machine. After you order, they give you a poke ball plush and you wait outside for your letter (which is stitched into the poke ball) to be called. Then you are seated and quickly served your ramen. It was extremely efficient and we were never rushed at all. They had a special of 20 euro for any ramen with 2 extra toppings. I went with extra pork and extra noodles. It was absolutely delicious - in such a way that I still think about this ramen weeks later. It was a fun and welcoming start to our trip and really put everything on a good note. Highly recommend, and don't be scared away by any lines!!

The line for this place can be pretty intimidating but I can say that it's definitely worth the wait. I would say definitely call ahead to make sure that they're open when you're trying to go because the hours seem to differ from what shown online. I love the aesthetic inside with the framed portraits of different One Piece characters as well as the studio Ghibli artwork in the bathrooms. I got their signature Ramen and I also paid extra to use one of the prize machines and got a light up swan lol next time I'm in Amsterdam this will definitely be a stop on my list.

Please come try this place!!!! The ramen is so amazing--the broth is extremely creamy and all the add-ins are so flavorful. The line is extremely long though, my friend and I waited well over an hour to get in. (It's confusing to explain, but you essentially have to wait in 3 different lines to get in.) The environment inside is so pleasant and all the workers are so friendly and nice. They always ask if you want more water and shout things like "hope you enjoy it!" and I would genuinely come back for the ambiance alone. The front also has some gachapon machines and I got 2 keychains and a pin!

Came here upon being told that this is the single best ramen spot in all of the Netherlands, by a Japanese-Dutch person. This place had a big line forming outside even just a few minutes past 4pm when it opens, but luckily we were able to be seated quickly. The interior is so cute and nicely decorated with anime stuff, and it even has the little prize machines where you can get cute little toys. The ramen itself absolutely slaps - this is some of the tastiest broth I've ever had and the charsiu pork is to die for. The staff are all super enthusiastic and kind and I love the little notecards explaining how to ask for extra noodles or whatever. Super great place and maybe my favorite meal in Amsterdam. Just make sure you get there early!

Started my Euro trip in Amsterdam and wanted to hit up a ramen spot to see how it is here. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere and ordering process is very Japanese style with ticket and ordering machines and gachapon machines. The tonkotsu broth is delicious and flavorful. Portion was just right and noodles were firm just how I like it. 9/10 for the whole experience. More reviews from my Euro Trip to come.

Friendly staff, but this tiny little place can only hold so much people. There's always a line waiting outside. I waited for 50 mins and it only take me 5 mins to finished the bowl of ramen. Portion is a bit small compare to most places I've been around the world. I guess it is worth to try if you are really craving for some ramen.

Best ramen I've ever eaten in my life. The noodles were amazing. Broth was phenomenal. Pork, cooked perfectly. I wasn't the biggest fan of the small interior, not great for groups, but I was visiting and ate alone so I didn't have an issue. It's also cash only, so come prepared.

The best ramen! My family and I were looking for a ramen spot in Amsterdam and Ramen Kingdom definitely hit the spot. There was a pretty big queue for dinner, but we'll worth it. The restaurant is pretty cozy with a few tables and a counter, but you can always do take away. You order your meal from a kiosk and then wait patiently to be seated or to take away. Staff was incredibly kind and friendly, since we were new to how it all worked. You get a little woven pokéball, which they use to call out which party is next. You can also purchase poke balls at the front - very cute. Definitely wished we could have dined in, but we were pretty hungry and had a reservation with the canal tour - only a few minutes walk away. Take away was still delicious. Broth was unctuous, the toppings were proportionate to the noodles, a balanced bowl. Each bowl is definitely on the higher price point for ramen, but every order comes with a 2 free additional toppings. I am a noodle gal, so I ordered an extra helping. Well worth the wait and price point for the quality and service! Would definitely visit again.

Came here after reading all positive reviews and the taste did not disappoint. I don't like ramen places where the soup is luke warm, but this one was one of those places where the ramen is hotter inside. Spiciness was just right and I could have handled extra spicy easily, I think. Seats are individual and were very limited, so waiting time was quite long outside. I saw that the takeout people were getting theirs much quicker.

The wait here was a little less than 30 minutes. The line was backed up due to the little availability seating wise but the staff were quick and took our orders while we waited so that the food would be ready by the time we were seated. The food was more than worth the wait. I had this during my first night in Amsterdam but if all their ramen is like this I might just consider moving out to the Netherlands. Noodles were so awesome that I wished I would have ordered extra. The broth tells you everything you need to know. This spot is right across from the Amsterdam Central train station so if you're in the area you could easily pop on over. The staff are very energetic and seem like they have tons of fun while working. SN: Every time they'd serve extra noodles to a customer they'd do a Dragon Ball kamehameha blast. Everyone loved it! I just might try to hit this place up before I leave.

What an amazing hidden gem within Amsterdam. We stumbled upon this place while it was pouring rain and it felt as if we were transported to Japan. My friend was just recently in Japan and agreed at the end of our visit, this is ramen shop is definitely a slice of Japan. You pay prior to being seated as there are limited seats. We got the chicken tonkotsu ramen and pork tonkotsu ramen. The broth was the same for both bowls and it was delicious. That familiar creaminess yet it was a good richness for us. A lot of other tonkotsu ramen I've had have been far too rich, so I don't enjoy it as much. But this broth was perfect for me, especially given the cold rainy weather. The pork bowl came with black garlic oil which gave the broth another depth of flavor. The egg was near perfection, just slightly boiled a bit too long. The chicken slices weren't dry and had a good taste. The pork was amazing though! The fat portion just melts in your mouth. Service was great too! No complaints here. Overall, extremely satisfied. We didn't expect to find such a good ramen shop in Amsterdam. Traveling tip as well, Europeans prefer to use Google reviews over Yelp, so hop over to Google reviews to see more.

5 stars! I am so happy I found this place! I'm picky for good ramen, it's hard to get good ramen in foreign country. And here in Amsterdam, this authentic ramen, Ramen-Kingdom is now my go to place! I had pork based tonkotsu ramen, noodles are thin and perfect al-dente, and it has ajitama (egg), chashu, negi and kikurage, and the soup is absolutely delicious. Staffs are very friendly. Fast service and very tentative. I totally recommend!

Staff don't bother to find tables for you; they let customers figure things out among themselves. Alright. We eventually grabbed a table after 5-10 minutes, then had our order taken 10 minutes later. The food took a long time to come out: about 40 minutes (other than 1 appy that came out after 20). Good thing it was tasty. We got: -plantain fries (€6) -- tasty, especially with the sweet dipping sauce, but you get about 8 fries, so not great value. -okonomiyaki (€12.90) -- this was wonderful. So many lovely textures, flavours, and seasoned beautifully. This was the highlight of the meal for me. -vegan plate (€18.90) -- really nicely designed plate, with a base of brown rice, with a sort of Japanese slaw, vegan chicken katsu, tempura (apparently, though I didn't notice it), and stir fried veggies. Super tasty stuff. Not the biggest portion, but not bad either. My friends each got the crispy roti wrap (€14.90), which they loved, and the taste I had was great. Overall, great food, not the best dining experience. Perhaps my experience wasn't representative. I'd go back for the okonomiyaki alone.
