When traveling we always look for local places to try out rather then chains. Being from Texas we are picky with Mexican Food. We very pleasantly surprised. Wow this place was happening on a Friday night! There was a line waiting by 6 pm!! Best choice in the area for great service, cleanliness and good food and drinks. Good chips and excellent homemade salsa. My husband had a grande burrito Al pastor and I had same w shrimp. I got chipotle sauce which was good but did seem to have Mayo in it. I ordered the Jalisco Bowl because it has onions and mushrooms. I'm not sure why they call it a Bowl because it doesn't resemble a bowl in any respect. Never mind that though. This was my second time in 2.5 years visiting this place, I had the tacos the first time we tried this place right after moving to Jackson. I don't remember them much so I'm guessing they didn't wow me. Tonight however much different story. We decided to get their Baja burrito and their Chili Verde Plate. I was excited they had chili Verde on their menu and absolutely had to try It's my favorite! They knock both dishes out of the park!! The CV was my favorite out of the two dishes we had and I am so happy that they have it and actually make it correctly. ( Most places here don't make it right or don't have it on their menu!! Only had a very short wait. The food was outstanding and possibly the best fajitas my wife and I have purchased. I had shrimp and she had ribeye steak. Her entire place was covered by steak. First, the staff was absolutely wonderful. Our server helped my wife understand the menu as she is unfamiliar with this type of fare. Shrimp with mushrooms, rice and cheese was settled upon. This has always been a great food truck, and they finally opened a brick-and-mortar location. Larger and neater space than you'd expect from outside appearance. The menu is much larger than the original truck menu, if you're familiar with it. The same brothers and family still runs the kitchen. The menu is diverse and economical. For only having opened several days before my first visit, the service and food and overall experience made me think that this place has been open for years! Highly recommend.
