Wow, the portions here are something to write home about. The Texmex burrito could easily last you three meals. It's got a whole lot of ingredients and is so worth the price. The chicken fajita was a normal portion, and was delicious. The chicken was cooked so well and had peppers and tomatoes in it. I really enjoyed the beans and rice it came with. The prices are so reasonable, especially given how much you get. I know Mexican ingredients are cheap, but still, I was impressed. The chips they initially bring you are warm and crispy, but the salsa was lame. Added some hot sauce to give it some taste. The place is clean, colorful, and huge! There's booths, tables, bar space, and a common table in the middle. They could seat all sizes and types of parties. Service was professional and quick. I really liked it here! As far as the food is concerned I would give them a v I ordered the fajitas for two and they were absolutely delicious that was the first time I went the service was not so good we were made to stand at the door while the girls just looked at us and one particular white manager Chris was the only one seating people and I was after he got off of his phone it seems to me that he is taking the tips from the girls because he is the only one that is seeding people. On a second trip there which was recently this past Sunday I walked in with my mask in my hand now my knew someone had walked in before me that did not have a mask at all they were allowed to come in however when I came man with the mask in my hand Chris made the comment will it does you no good in your hand so I jokingly said that to him well I do have to take it off when I eat he proceeded to ask me to leave the restaurant at which time I told him to kiss my ass and there was some unfavorable banter that went on back and forth between us he does not need nor does he deserve to work with the public he has the worst attitude you don't ask customers to leave a restaurant where do they do that well they do that at tequila if Chris is working I will never ever go back there again and I would never recommend anyone to go back there again unless he doesn't work there read more

New to the area. We have now visited twice and love it. Great food and atmosphere. Cheese dip is simply delish. I have yet to try the drinks but they good amazing! Tekila Mexican Restaurant charges $ 2.50 for sasa and chips with take out orders. I asked if I didn't want the sasa would I still be charged, and was told I would be. I placed a to go order for shrimp fajita nachos which cost $15. When I got home, I saw they'd left off all the condiments for the nachos. I live about 7.7 miles from the restaurant.... I tried calling them and the line was busy for most of the night. Finally someone picked the phone up, but never said anything on the phone. I could here the staff talking in the background...I was on the phone for a while and they never said a word on the phone. That is why the line was busy all night. They pick up the phone and never answer...Worst ever! (The restaurant is in Jackson, TN)...............UPDATE: I finally was able to get the restaurant the next day and spoke with the manager. The worst customer service! Just immature and unprofessional. I tried to place an order on the phone for a later time on the same day. The hostess confirmed the order on the phone. When I went to pick it up later they did not have the order and were giggling. They implied I called the wrong number. My call log had their number. This was not good. Our service was bad at first then it turned awful. We waited over an hour for food. There were only 6 tables on our side when we got there. Our food did not come out as requested as they sent us the wrong burrito. Apparently the mistakes were due to brand new staff and an overwhelmed/underprepared kitchen. We were trying to head to a basketball game after lunch so we were inconvenienced by having to wait so long for our initial order and then wait again for them to remake the food. We missed the game. We had to request a manager, who came over and apologized (finally) but offered no discount even when requested, only empty words. I've never met a restaurant manager so disinterested in the customer experience. She didn't take any accountability for her kitchen ruining our meal or make any real effort to correct the mistake. She finally offered a $10 gift card to the restaurant AFTER we paid. The mistake is not the end of the world, it's what you do afterwards that counts. Little does she know, simply comping the burrito could've been the difference between repeat business and a negative review. If they continue to treat customers poorly, I don't see them being in business long. Ultimately, they are only getting one star because the drinks were decent. Go for the alcohol, don't bother with the food--you'll be disappointed. Too bad you can't get drinks to go. read more

The environment is a little nicer than most Mexican restaurants. They serve the entrees on attractive plates. I think they want to be a classier Mexican restaurant. We just didn't like the food. What sauce they did put on the entrée was so thin it flowed down to a corner of the plate and there wasn't enough to scoop up and put back on the (burrito, or whatever it I ordered). The food was delicious. The amount you pay for is extremely fair and the food is extremely high quality. The amount of food you get is extremely large. My dad got the Tex Mex burrito and it was almost impossible to fully eat, so you always have little snack(s) for later. It could last two to three meals and from what he said it was delicious. The waiters there are extremely nice and the food is out rather quickly. There are not a lot of waiters but a lot of tables. There were about 3 that I saw and they handled 8-10 tables with ease. Went to lunch there this Sunday. I ordered fajitas and I changed the order. The waiter got confused about it and had to go to manager and they discussed it in Spanish and kept looking at us. We were uncomfortable about their conversation. Then when I got home my wife and I spent a lot of time in the bathroom. Suck as can be. Was sick till Monday. Can not recommend this place. read more
