We ate here yesterday. I must say the wait staff works very hard. They were always checking on you. Food came out in a nice fast manner and it was yummy. The restaurant a has beautiful booths and location is great. read more

The food was very good. It had a lot of flavor. The service was good and fast. The restaurant is in a good location.

The food was delicious and there is an authentic vibe that was very satisfying. The waiter patiently listened to our customizations. Our only concern is the definition of "vegetarian" beans on the menu. Although beans are grown naturally vegetarian, they cease qualifying for that particular category if they are cooked in lard. That's it. That's all. Go. Eat. Enjoy, but ask good questions about the ingredients. read more

Atzimba Mexican Restaurant - Veg-Taco Salad - Mexican Near Me - Lexington, Tennessee

Restaurant had great atmosphere, decor, and music. Definite Mexican appeal. Food was great. Served quickly. And nice portion sizes. They made sure our drinks were refilled. Also at every Mexican restaurant they seem to have a standard for "fajita quesadillas." (I've had this happen at other restaurants before) I expect some fajita meats and veggies with lots of cheese in a tortilla. Instead I get very little cheese and lots of meats and veggies. Which is delicious but it is misleading cause it's definitely not a quesadilla. From now on if I'm craving a quesadilla I'm going to order something else. Do wish they had more friendly staff overall around the restaurant. I went to the restroom & found no toilet paper. Finally someone was able to change it but they only put it in one stall and that particular stall had a dirty toilet seat. Also there were paper towels on the ground that the employee didn't pick up when he went in to put toilet paper. I understand everyone is short staffed right now but the bathrooms definitely needed attention. But overall I would definitely go back to eat there again. read more

Atzimba Mexican Restaurant - Steak Fajita Quesadilla - Mexican Near Me - Lexington, Tennessee

it's excellent especially on your birthday they will come out and sing for you and give you a free desert

Great food and margaritas!!! Our fajitas were fabulous. My only suggestion is to add more tortillas! We loved it:)

While in Lexington,TN. Today, I tried Atzimba Mexicán Restaurant and the carnitas and Chili Verde were both wonderful. A friend of mine had the steak and chicken fajitas and said they were great also The Carnitas really impressed me. Large chunks of roasted pork (not the small cubes that I see a lot here in Tennessee). And the flavor was spot on. I also love the fact that it came with a pickled jalapeño, I wish it had the charred ones, but the pickled was better than nada! The bite of the Chili Verde I had was good also...and the order was huge. You could have fed two people with each order. So a good bang for the buck for sure. I will definitely be coming back here again!!! read more

Atzimba Mexican Restaurant - tables and chairs - Mexican Near Me - Lexington, Tennessee

We are from Texas and wanted to try Tennessee Mexican food. If this is the best place In town, then I'm disappointed. To start, the menus had mold on them. The queso was watery. We are gluten free. We asked if the chili rellenos were breaded. To which we were told no. When we got our plates, the chili rellenos were in fact, breaded. So so disappointing and an insult to Mexican food. read more

I'm a regular and never had a bad time! They're very attentive and served very quick. They ask how your food is ,and are willing to put customer service first the scenery is very cool aswell. read more

My family comes here regularly. The food is consistently good and it is a good value for the price. The staff is always friendly and doesn't make us wait for refills. We'll be back again soon, I'm sure! read more

Food is always excellent and ambience is almost always fun! And a great value for the price! They recently were forced to increase the cost of menu items by 30% - 50% due to the inflation as a result of COVID-19 because their prices were so insanely cheap (one of their lunch items was $3.75 or $4 for an enchilada, taco, and choice of rice or beans! That's late 1990's or early 2000's prices!) The only thing lacking sometimes is service. It's hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's mediocre. I have dined there many times, sometimes alone, sometimes with my mother and maternal grandmother. If service was always up to par, I would indubitably rate them 5 stars! Otherwise, you will leave satisfied and your wallet happy! I don't (I have a big appetite, I'm a big guy) but my mother and grandmother usually have enough food for two meals....for less than $10 at lunch! read more

Good food for the money, been twice first time food was awesome, second time was marginal, both times service was great, will try it at least once more and update review if it seems worthy. read more

In my opinion, the best Mexican restaurant in Lexington. Extensive menu and everything I've had is delicious! Outdoor seating, lots of indoor seating, great for big groups. Staff is always friendly and quick. read more

Atzimba Mexican Restaurant - a shot from Inside. - Mexican Near Me - Lexington, Tennessee

We usually love to eat at this Mexican restaurant, but recently we have had consistently poor experiences. The service doesn't even deserve 1 star and the cleanliness has dwindled drastically. We have waited nearly 30 minutes for our drink order to be taken after being sat with 5 people at a 4 person booth. They did not give us silverware or menus and the waiter was rude AT BEST. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Mexican restaurants in Lexington. read more

To say that this might be the best food in Lexington is not saying much. But it might be true. The food is not outstanding but when one is in a culinary wasteland anything can seem good. It's on the lower end of standard Mexican faire but worth a visit. Service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is cluttered but tolerable. read more

I love this place! They recently remodeled and it so needed it!! Looks much better!!!! Food is always amazing!!! The price is great!! Staff also keep our glass full! They take good care of there customers! read more

Got there around 8:30, they close at 9:30. They had no personality and only came to the table to take our order. When we went to pay all of the staff were singing in the kitchen. Not ran well. The only reason for the 3 stars is our food was pretty good. I suggest just getting it to go if you can help it. read more

The food was excellent! I got a Molcajete and it was the best I've had and cheaper than anywhere else. My husband got the #4 dinner special and he said his was very good too. Better than Los Portales for sure! read more

After eight hours of driving from Indiana, this place hit the spot! Their portions are wonderfully large! The tacos are delightful. Quick service and very polite read more

I love this restaurant. They have been working very hard to update and improve the curve appeal. Which they have accomplished in my mind. It is beautiful! The best Food. Very tasty, always hot and very good. There is only one time that I have had bad service from a server. I would highly recommend. The only thing I would recommend is finally having the license to make and serve wonderful Margaritas to go with the food. read more

This is our go to Mexican. Better than anywhere in Jackson and Los Portales. Prices are much cheaper too.

Best place in Lexington, TN for Mexican dishes, IMO. Friendly staff, affordable. Whether dining in or taking out (our preference) the quality is very good. read more

Great food , friendly service , family friendly my favorite is the Hawaiian thingy. Love it

Not A great place to eat. My shrimp was still frozen in my warm dish. My soda tasted like there was cleaning chemicals in it. The staff were unfriendly and rude. I will never eat here again. read more

I don't say this lightly, and it may be because I was hungry, but this restaurant makes some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. I had the shrimp chimichanga which was huge and really rich in taste. All the meals came out quickly, were generous portions and really good food. read more

Delicious food, great prices, fast and friendly service. They also have a large menu. Definitely a new favorite restaurant in town.

This restaurant is in the regular rotation in Lexington because there aren't many restaurants here. Today we lunched there and the experience was the same as always: Subpar food, and staff so rude they border on being abusive. My mom ordered a side salad but the waiter didn't ask her dressing preference. When he dropped our food and ran we were unable to get his attention so I walked around trying to get it for her while my lunch got cold. No one asked if our food was satisfactory, no one offered to refill our drinks. We could have used more napkins but I knew it would be difficult to request. There's a BIG sign near the door to remind guests the servers work for tips. Really? They must all be going bankrupt. No more Atzimba's for me! I'll go to Los Portales where the prices are higher but they won't make me feel I'm imposing on them. read more

Went there for lunch.my dinner that I ordered came to me half frozen.I though they made everything fresh.must buy there stuff frozen then he in oven.bill was $ 23.00 for two won't go back. read more

Decent food. Good portion sizes. Nothing special though. Second best Mexican restaurant in a town with only two.

Delicious food with a more authentic flavor than the competition in the area. Expect Americanized dishes with more traditional ones peppered throughout the menu. read more

The food is great and the prices are great! I can get the lunch time fajitas to go and have a delicious lunch for less than it cost for a nasty combo meal at a fast food place. You cant beat it! read more

The cheese enchiladas were excellent. We did have an issue with a serious language barrier with the waiter and the first order was wrong. I asked for someone who spoke English, and this person corrected it with no problems. The queso dip and salsa were also very good. I will definitely return here. read more

Love the food! The portions are good and we always leave with food to take home. The only issue we have ever had was just the attitude of one waiter. We only had him one time but he was rude from the beginning. We will continue to dine here even though we had that one bad experience because the food is a lot better than other Mexican restaurants in our area. read more

Been coming here for years, the food is always good, and the staff are always friendly. The décor could be updated or I would have given 5 stars. read more

I live in Lexington, and I will say THANK GOODNESS for "the other" Mexican restaurant in town, the competition. If you want a steak dish here, ribeye is not on the menu, only skirt steak, so hope you like chicken....very very thin chicken. I hate the salsa, too much cilantro, and it's consistent, tastes same every time. like soapy dish water. Service is dismal, no one seems happy or pleased to serve you. I used to have to go here alot. But not anymore! Not since LP is here!!!!!! WooHoo for Lexington! read more
