My wife and I have been frequenting Mi Pueblito for years. Love the food. Food is very consistent, and the service is always friendly and accurate. My wife loves their Chicken Fajitas. One of my favorites is their Molcajete. For small town Mexican, this is one of the best you'll find. Plus it's a great value. I've paid double for the same dish that is no where near this quality. The restaurant is always clean, and the decore is very nice. I only wish they served Margaritas! read more

The only reason this review is getting 2 stars is because it's harder to remove than 1 star. Highly disappointed with this place. My wife and I have been to this location multiple times and had Jose #1 as our server and he was fantastic! However, we had a completely different experience tonight with Chelsea S. I received the wrong drink from the start, which wasn't a huge deal and was eventually corrected. We ordered and I received my food, my wife did not. About 9 minutes later she was given a plate but this was not what she ordered, we weren't going to say anything at this point because we really don't like to cause a problem for anywhere and can work with something close with what we wanted. The server realized this was not her food and took it back from her hands and brought it to straight to another table. We then waited another 28 minutes for her to be brought the correct meal. By this time my food was ice cold, I asked for mine to be remade so I could eat with my wife, instead of in front of her. No response, just an eye roll and my plate snatched up. I was then told it would be a little wait for it to be remade, which was expected and I didn't have a problem with. The manager, I'm presuming, brought mine back out and apologized which wasn't a big deal. While there was some traffic in the restaurant, this was in no way any kind of rush period or busy like the other times we've been. We were not checked on after that, and I was told the (room temperature and insanely watery) queso was being comped from the meal because of all the trouble. Which again, I didn't mind paying for because that was the only thing we got in somewhat of a normal timeframe. I asked for a check and went to pay. Once again, no words exchanged. Just a box and the bill sat on the table while our server walked away. The girl who rang us out just looked at us and held out her hand without saying anything and it felt like we were inconveniencing her when we tried to pay. No words were said, she wasn't even looking at us and just held out a hand impatiently waiting for the check, we were the only ones at the register with no one in front of or behind us. Highly recommend seeking out the server referred to as Jose #1 if you go, at least you get hot food at the same time and good service. There were multiple chances to save this experience that were not even touched, not even an attempt. This place isn't bad, just the service we received tonight left a worse taste in our mouths than the watery "cheese". However, I definitely recommend asking for another server than Chelsea S. if you go. The service we received tonight was bad enough for me to create this account and leave and leave this review if that helps put things in to perspective. read more

I live about 20 miles west of this establishment and I have local Mexican cuisine but will bypass local restaurants to go to this place. Everyone is friendly and whether you take out or dine in your food is going to be good. There has been maybe once or twice where it didn't taste "amazing as usual" but maybe my taste was off. Idk. The wait staff were very kind, nice and professional. No problems there. The chips were great! It goes down hill quick from there. The red salsa was totally lacking in flavor and salt. So we asked for salsa verde. It was sooo salty you couldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. I ordered the enchilada extravaganza. The enchilada sauce was totally wrong and inedible. No flavor. The green sauce was the same sauce they brought to the table. I couldn't eat it... It was way too salty. The only edible enchilada was the cheese one. My husband ordered huevos rancheros. The eggs came out raw. we sent it back. They brought it back, but he couldn't eat it, it tasted horrible. We ordered a child's plate with a taco (no cheese lettuce etc... ) it came out with everything on it. The quesadilla my son ate some of it and some of the frijoles a la charra. Which were ok, mediocre at best. We left shaking our heads wondering how in the world this place stays in business. However, I guess when there is nothing else around, people take what they can get. I worked here once upon a time. I started in May '14 and left sometime in the spring of 18. May have returned again, i can't remember. The owners here are great people, I don't care what anyone says. Anyone. I made really great friends with the server staff and kitchen staff, some were a true godsend. I matured a bunch working here. I've had some bad days, some rreaallllyyy bad dayz, but I learned about myself through serving. I learned about the social setting, family life, going to a place to enjoy the atmosphere, eat a nice meal, be social and carefree. Timing is everything too. This is a really great place for a young person to have a first job, or a part time with school. Flexible hours. The most important key to being successful working here, is to simply have a great attitude. And do not catch anyone's bad attitude. You couldn't fail, then. read more

Winter, 2015. Crossed the Tennessee River amidst torrents and sheets of rain, hail, wind-you name it. Walked into the new Pueblito, saw some messed up looking faces and rednecks the sizes of cattle and I sat down. Alone. Ordered tacos Mexicanos, which is served with a kind of molcajete sauce, fresh cilantro. Etc. and they mix it up: a chorizo taco, a steak one, chicken, and pastor. A superb meal that I think perhaps Frances Mollman himself would approve of. I left and broke up with a funeral home employee in the rain (because it was still raining) in the parking lot and cracked open the Canadian mist IMMEDIATELY after putting my car keys on the counter by my front door. Seated right away, immediately met by server drinks, salsa and chips given , alittle bit of a wait for food( it was a Friday night at 6:00 and they were crowded ) service was excellent! I've worked here for around 3 and a half years. I have been there at the old place, and at the new place. Everyone who works here works hard, every second is precious when doing the job of serving the public delicious Mexican food. The servers work hard for the tip, the kitchen works harder under pressure than any kitchen I've ever seen, and the bussers/chip people have made metric tons of salsa and kept the place spotless. The restaurant is always looking for new ways to give their diners a pleasant experience, and the restaurant is also true to what makes people return time and time again. I've enjoyed my time here, and enjoyed working with the people I worked alongside and the customers I've served. If you come hungry, little do you know, you have come prepared hahaha but seriously, give them a shot! It's very popular, so there's always people in the main big room, and if you have a business meeting or would prefer to reflect things quietly over a fantastic fajita, there's a side room next to windows overlooking the highway.
