Bbq sandwich and potato salad with side of ribs

Very fast and friendly service. The food was delicious and the price was great. We also tried the fried apple pie. Wish I had taken pictures before we ate.

I had really high expectations for this place after reading multiple reviews online touting it as one of the best Tennessee barbecue spots. Sadly, it just couldn't live up to them. Right of the bat when you walk in you feel unsafe because none of the staff is wearing masks, and customer mask wearing is not enforced in any way. That aside let's talk about the food. The two highlights were the baked beans and the price point. The baked beans ($1.50) were simply great, there's really not much else that I can say. Good balance of beans and meat. I guess the potato salad was ok, but I am not a "cold potato dish" lover so my friend ate that. Let's talk about the main course - the barbecue. Both the plate and the sandwich are both $4. You get a bit more meat with the plate, whereas with the sandwich you get a bun and slaw (either with vinegar or mayo). Their recommendation was to get it with mayo so I did. Once you bite into the sandwich the only thing I could get out of it was texture. The mayo didn't add any flavor to the slaw, and the pork was just... there. Same with the plate. It was not exactly tender, nor flavorful. The only way you can get any flavor is to drench it in their hot sauce which you are not given enough of.

Best pit barbecue in Tennessee. The smell of sweet woodsmoke, mingling with dripping fat of well loved and cared for hogs - bringing nourishment and joy to a community for generations now. Super group of big hearted people too. A must visit : )

On my way to Nashville and I stopped by Scott BBQ to see how good they were because I was intrigued on whole hog bbq. The staff was nice and quick with my order. They had a nice set up with lots of seating and fun decorations everywhere. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and 1/2 lb of pulled pork on the side. The pulled pork was on the dry side, so I didn't care for that. But that bbq sauce was sooooooo gooooddd! It had a nice tang and kick to it that I liked a lot.

Three of us went to eat. Two had come from out of town and had heard about Scotts and wanted to try it. Everything was very good.

This is one of the few "whole hog" bar-b-que places left in west Tennessee and it is a place not to be missed.

First and foremost, the older woman at the checkout is very rude. I don't know if she is the owner…read moreor an employee, but whoever she is, she needs to take lessons in customer service and how to treat customers. I guess her attitude pours out on others, because I've only ever had a nice server one time ---- ONLY ONE TIME!!!!!!!!!! And she was so meek she was afraid to take our order and even talk to us. As for the food... For lunch or dinner, the salad bar is the best they have, and it isn't good. They have watery iceberg lettuce with huge white hard chunks. I guess they save the green leaves for sandwiches. The dressing is watered down. The bacon bits are fake, and they don't have a big selection. Out of the hot food options, the spaghetti is probably your best bet, but don't expect it to taste homemade. I really don't understand why this place is still in business. I've never known it to be good and know more people who dislike it than who like it. My guess the church crowd is what keeps it in business. Also, I'm sure it has a lot to do with politics.

This would qualify as your typical southern charm family restaurant, that my family has been coming to for decades, and was my first visit since I was a teenager. The atmosphere at the Grecian is friendly, clean, and spacious. Our server was young, friendly, and learned it was easier to put down pitchers of water and tea rather than try refills, which is always appreciated. There is plenty of seating for small and large parties (we were a family of 10). The menu is pretty eclectic from Italian entrees, catfish, steak, chicken, and the aforementioned gyro (all of which was ordered). The staple at the Grecian is their fresh salad bar, which I might come in just for that. Most entrees have it included but you can get it on its own as well. Generous in its offerings the 1000 Island was outstanding. The food was not bland (steak was tasty but not noteworthy) and generous in portion. It won't win any awards but it didn't leave anyone hungry at the end either. At the End of the Day this is exactly what you would expect and it doesn't disappoint. There is not a wow element to the Grecian and maybe it isn't supposed to have one. In small towns like this maybe it's just nice to have something dependable and good to eat!?!

The buffet is buffet food. Once you've had it, you're good for a long while. I would like to go…read moremore often because Lexington doesn't have many places to eat, and the majority of them aren't anything special, but until they offer a variety instead of the exact same food every time, I will only go on occasion when someone asks me to go with them. I've found that sometimes food on the buffet is too salty (and I like salt). Once the turnip greens were so salty that I had to spit them out. It was as if someone had poured a whole cup of salt in them. The catfish is also usually very salty. Nothing on the buffet is labeled, so you may have to ask about some of the meat if it's your first time to go. The salad bar is very small and minimum, so I prefer to get slaw instead, but I no longer do that. Sometimes the slaw had a strange taste and smell as if it was going bad. Once it was so completely soured that it almost made me gag. I let the server know and she just took it away. Toward the end of the meal, she brought another bowl and said it was freshly made. She never apologized. She actually acted put out over it. Needless to say, I've learned to be cautious with the turnip greens and slaw. The dessert bar is terrible. I mean that. If you like pudding with whipped cream on top (they usually have chocolate and banana), and sometimes a low-quality overly sweet store- bought cobbler, then you'll like it. They also have ice cream, but it isn't the smooth kind. It is more like the type you make at home. My advice is to order off the menu. You will not have the variety, or the amount, but you will have a better meal. The location is good. The parking is good. It's a large place so you can usually get a table pretty quickly.
