The food was delicious! They have a nice vibe going and I can see this being the spot to hang out at for a local. I brought my dog to hang out outside and eat but she kept barking but they were so nice and offered her a bone. Great service. Thanks!!

Quality BBQ and excellent service! The brisket and ribs were perfectly cooked. It was great even without BBQ sauce!

I've found that sometimes food on the buffet is too salty (and I like salt). Once the turnip greens were so salty that I had to spit them out. It was as if someone had poured a whole cup of salt in them. The catfish is also usually very salty. Nothing on the buffet is labeled, so you may have to ask about some of the meat if it's your first time to go. The salad bar is very small and minimum, so I prefer to get slaw instead, but I no longer do that. Sometimes the slaw had a strange taste and smell as if it was going bad. Once it was so completely soured that it almost made me gag. I let the server know and she just took it away. Toward the end of the meal, she brought another bowl and said it was freshly made. She never apologized. She actually acted put out over it. Needless to say, I've learned to be cautious with the turnip greens and slaw. The dessert bar is terrible. I mean that. If you like pudding with whipped cream on top (they usually have chocolate and banana), and sometimes a low-quality overly sweet store- bought cobbler, then you'll like it. They also have ice cream, but it isn't the smooth kind. It is more like the type you make at home. My advice is to order off the menu. You will not have the variety, or the amount, but you will have a better meal. The location is good. The parking is good. It's a large place so you can usually get a table pretty quickly.

The buffet is the way to go in my book, only $12.99 on weekdays. try one of those funny-shaped rolls or, if they happen to have it, the Mac-and-tomatoes! We were able to seat ourselves and chose a table in the dining room. The restaurant has a Southern down home vibe and there is a gift shop for travelers. We were greeted quickly and received attentive service throughout the meal. Our drink and food order was taken timely and the food did not take very long to prepare. We all ordered Patty's choice that comes with bacon, sausage or ham, 2 eggs, biscuit or toast & gravy. I got my eggs over easy with the biscuits and gravy. Other people in my party got their eggs scrambled and over hard. I enjoyed my eggs and bacon. The biscuits were made from scratch but were a little hard for my taste. Over all had a good breakfast dining experience on the road. I felt like the breakfast options were a bit limited on the menu but I feel they did achieve their goal of a meal that feels like home.
