This is a great spot!!! Great flavors, fair prices, and the service was stellar. Daniel was our waiter and he was quick to take orders, made sure we had what we needed, and was really friendly. Would def stop back again when I'm passing through town! read more

This place was Amazing- I mean the best food I've had in a long time! You will not be sorry if you pick this restaurant- every bite was flavorful and delicious! My husband had Los Kuates, I had the Jalisko Bowl, and My daughter had fish tako. All of it was amazing!!! read more

The best tacos ever, service is good. Courteous and polite. Will go back again...and again...

Fantastic, authentic Mexican food. Tacos are amazing and the people are really nice! Have ordered carry out twice in the last 2 weeks.

Outstanding as usual. Dined in tonight. Pleasantly surprised to see a kids menu now and fountain soft drinks. My boys each had a Mini Borukas bowl meal that was meat, cheese sauce and rice. Exactly what they wanted and it tasted fantastic. One had chicken and the other one steak. I kept my favorite Al Pastor Borukas bowl with vegetables. I can't even describe the flavor and how good it always is here. You definitely need to make a point of stopping here. Best Mexican food in Jackson! read more

Looks like a little hole in the wall but when you walk in there is a lot of seating and the host get to you right away. The food is incredible, the grilled veggies on any dish is prepared perfectly. We usually get steak fajitas and my son gets the steak quesadilla always excellent. Great service and I definitely recommend going! read more

I've been here a few times already! When I moved here from Texas. My one craving was REAL tacos. This place is as good as it gets when it comes to authentic Mexican tacos! I highly recommend the Mexican style tacos. Every Time! My one fall back is, I always want more lime with them. And their slices are kinda small. But, never stopped me from getting 4 tacos and devouring them! Bueno!!!! read more

Just outstanding every time! We've been twice on the way to Memphis from Nashville, and it has impressed both times. First, it's tucked in a strip mall facing the interstate. Don't let that slow you down. Second, Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen in most towns. Don't let that slow you down either. This place is abuzz with every table taken. The food is delicious, generous, and clearly made with passion. I had the chilaquiles with carnitas, and it was anchored by homemade tortillas, verde sauce, generous and rich shredded pork and carefully cooked eggs. Perfect! My wife had a chicken quesadilla so full of grilled chicken, cheese, and onions it barely closed. Do yourself a favor and go. read more

This is my most favorite Mexican restaurant in Jackson. I have been a die hard LoPo girl for years, but Takos Borukas changes that.

Very reasonable price. Great food wish the menu was in more english terms. I order the same thing each time because i know exactly what it is. read more

We have thoroughly enjoyed our visits here. The servers are good and the food is homey and authentic. Gringo that I am, I do prefer crispy tacos, and that's not my only tragic flaw. There is a delicious simmered pork dish that is tender and flavorful. Hubs likes the burritos, and I like the Micheladas. Anything we have tried has been comforting and worthwhile. I think you will like it! read more

Good prices and portions, just seems like the food had more flavor when they first opened. Now it's about like the rest of the options around town. read more

Yeaa not one of my favorites it's not that bad but it's not to good . Didn't really enjoy it but I do know people that liked it . Overall I just had a bad experience I don't know if I'll be coming back. Where's the flavor ‍ read more

My favorite place for Mexican. They do not have your typical Mexican fare. They have a shrimp quesadilla that is amazing. Their Borukas Bowl with the Baja veggies is very good. They have Mexican sandwiches. Wonderful! read more

I would give 5 stars but the ventilation in this place is poor....You will definitely smell like smoke and have runny eyes upon leaving. However the food was simply amazing. The rice is good, cheese dip, salsa, the Karnitas tacos are great! Next time I plan to try the fish tacos Love the small intimacy in the restaurant. It's not big so you don't have to worry about waiting for a while to get a drink refill etc. Even with being newly opened we were seated very quickly and I think they overall have a great flow of getting food out to you. Glad they are open verses the food truck to try more authentic Mexican food they have. No alcohol being served as of now. You will love this place. Give them a try read more

Food was really tasty and hotttt the service was fast and our waitress was very attentive to our table.! highly recommend this place!!

I have been meaning to try one of the local food trucks in Jackson for a while and finally got the chance today and I'm glad I did. Since this was my first time eating from this food truck I played it safe with the 2 taco supreme with side of rice. It was fresh and tasted delicious. I will definitely be back. The girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to coming back soon. read more

Great food and friendly staff. You also get a great amount of served for the price. The chicken has a-lot of flavor and zest.

While there are multiple Mexican food options in Jackson, Takos Borukas is definitely the best. The quality of the ingredients is apparent in the food, the service is fast, and the portions are large (I almost always have leftovers). Everything is hot and made to order, and there are plenty of menu options with fantastic meat choices such as chicken and al pastor. Originally a food truck, this restaurant quickly gained popularity among the Jackson population. You will realize why once you eat here. Overall, this is definitely one of the top restaurants in the area. read more

Great food. The tacos are amazing. Particularly fond of the tacos al pastor. Haven't had anything else on the menu, but it all sounds good. Highly recommend if you're looking for some authentic Mexican outside of the restaurant setting. read more

I travel constantly for work. While in Jackson I expected very little in terms of dining. I went to a different Mexican place the day before and was so disappointed, but I happened to run into the family that runs this truck and I visited daily during the rest of my time here. The el pastor is some of the best I've had. My all time favorite taco join was in LA, but this might beat it! If you're passing through stop what you're doing and visit this place now. If you live in Jackson, you're so lucky to have this family making delicious tacos in your community! read more

I probably eat here at least twice a week. The tacos are incredible, the service is fast, and the prices are fairly cheap. It's my new favorite Mexican restaurant in town. read more

I love this place. If you're traveling down I40 and happen to come through Jackson, take the exit and enjoy this authentic Mexican restaurant. His specialty is Jalisco which is rice, cheese and then various types of meat you can choose from. It's located in the same shopping center as the big State Farm office and the UPS store right off the interstate. read more

Yikes! While the people that work in this food truck are incredibly nice the way they handle the food is what concerns me. They used spatulas to move raw chicken and then used the same spatula to pick up cooked meat and put it in a taco. I asked for my money back. read more

Really delicious! We all tried new dishes and all were quickly prepared, really tasty and fresh! Chips were crisp and salsa was fresh. Friendly service. We will be back read more

Make sure the staff understands what you really want because I ordered carna asada and asked how many tacos came with it and the waiter said 2. Food came out with no tacos and when I asked the waiter he said I should have ordered the Taco carna asada and didn't even offer to make it right. Won't be back!!! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. The food is absolutely phenomenal! Authentic Mexican food is what you will find here. Carne asada, Al pastor and carnitas cooked perfectly. The fresh made guacamole can't be beat. If you are looking for cookie cutter Mexican, it's not here! Give them a try. I promise you won't be disappointed! Oh yea, the michelada is off the chain!! read more

Favorite place for authentic and delicious tacos. Al pastor tacos = yummmm. I need to try more on the menu but I just never want to get anything but those. AND now I'm craving them. read more

This was on of my 2 favorite places to eat, the other one being El Mezcal, though after my experience tonight, it will be a long time before I return...I noticed once we were seated that they seemed to have a new crew...I ordered the Baja Burrito with carne asada, and the waiter read my order back to me, so I thought all is well...My better half ordered a plain burrito with chicken as he cannot have gluten or peppers...However, when he brought our food out, what he brought me was not a burrito...not quite sure what it was he brought...a "deconstructed" burrito perhaps, but not what I ordered, nor what I wanted...He said he would take it back and have it redone and I told him no thank you, given the number of customers were in the restaurant at the time, and given the fact that by the time I got my food, my better half would be done with theirs...I told him to forget about it, as I was no longer interested...I can understand new personnel...but when they read the order back and then bring something else entirely?...I'll go back to El Mezcal...Not quite as "upscale", but never in my 18 years of going there have they ever screwed up my order...Another issue is that they don't have a website in which I could email them about this, as all they have is a FB page, and I don't do FB...I doubt they will see this, let alone probably even care...which, sadly, is the problem with most restaurants in Jackson, TN, be they chains, or in this case, independents... read more
