    Bulgogi Poutine

Quick and easy service! Came in on a Tuesday afternoon and got our food pretty quick. The dining area is kind of small, so no big groups. It's more for quick snacks or stops. We shared a small bulgogi poutine, for a small it was pretty filling. Maybe get the large if you're starving though. It had a good combination, the kimchi said it's be pan fried, but it was cold. Honestly preferred that though, it really helped cut through the richness. It didn't come with cheese curds like regular poutine, but we really enjoyed this version!

Decided to commute downtown earlier to beat the traffic for my Justin Timberlake concert and ended up making a stop at one of my fave spots. This korean inspired taco place is a must try for everyone. Prices are really budget friendly. Service is also quick and very friendly. This place is literally right outside of the stadium chinatown exit after you go down the stairs and exit after you scan your card pass the gate. Oh and it's right by costco too. I tried the Busan Taco which had deep fried prawn and a nice blend of different taste notes. Some tangy sweetness from the pickles sprinkled on top and i think there was a bit of honey too? 5/5 for me! If you love tteokbokki then you will love these rice cake skewers because it's pretty much 2 giant ones just cooked to perfection! You can choose between having it spicy flavour or soy. They are both good!! 5/5 for me again !! Ambiance is super chill and friendly. Tidy clean and well lit. Washrooms are clean too! Can't wait to visit again!!

I was excited to try a Korean-Mexican fusion place and was very satisfied with the combination. The staff were very friendly and explained their menu eloquently enough. The spicy pork belly's flavor was amazing in the Jeju taco and by far my favorite. The bulgogi meat was good as well but the bulgogi marinade flavor was a bit too strong for the taco fusion, but still delicious nonetheless.

Good spot to grab some Korean Mexican fusion! It's fast casual style here, so good for a quick lunch. I got the Tako taco and shared the koreano poutine. The taco was good, and I felt like the meat was very flavorful. The koreano poutine was tasty as well, but didn't really resemble a poutine to me. Seemed more like loaded fries with Korean toppings, but nevertheless was still tasty. I wasn't necessarily wowed by anything, but good food here! It's convenient and tasty for a quick meal.

Korean and Mexican fusion food with food truck menu vibes, but in a storefront setting. We tried the Koreano poutine, which was delicious-recommended. Layered with all sorts of tastes and textures. The padak chicken was delicious as well, but tasted more like Japanese karaage than Korean fried chicken?? The chicken was scaldingly hot but could've been a lot crispier imo. The Seoul chicken taco was delicious and generous in portion. The Busan shrimp taco was too sweet and, ironically, shrimpy in portion lol.. I was expecting a fried whole prawn- but it only had like 4-5 little baby shrimp-wouldn't get that again. Service was very kind and friendly. Would like to come back and try some other stuff and grab another Koreano poutine.

Ordered 3 tacos and it was very filling. Everything kind of tasted the same though. I ordered the bulgolgi, pork and shrimp tacos. Service was quick and friendly. They have seating inside for a quick bite. It's right by Rogers Arena/Skytrain so definitely an option before going to a game/concert/show.

I came by here to get a taco for a quick bite for lunch. R has been here before and has had good things to say about it so thought I would try it. I got the tako taco (minus the tomatoes) and thought it was quite delicious. I also did not have to wait long which I appreciated. Would recommend for a quick bite if in the area.

My family and I had a few days in Vancouver last week while on vacation and I saw Tako on Yelp and had to stop in! The restaurant is small inside, clean, and the service was friendly and quick. The only downside is that the restaurant is downtown and you have to pay for parking and be sure you return in time because tow trucks are always patrolling the streets. Between the bulgogi poutine and the outrageously delicious looking burritos this place is awesome. We even bought my husband's aunt and uncle who are not the most adventurous eaters and they got a crispy chicken bowl that they loved! My husband and I split the sour cream dusted cheese balls, the bulgogi poutine, and a bulgogi burrito. The cheese balls were a creamy, cheesy, and zesty treat. The bulgogi poutine was by far my favorite. From the crispy, hot fries to the savory, umami beef, to the variety of sweet and savory toppings it hit the spot! The burrito was also delicious and packed with a variety of complimentary flavors. We would eat here again. Rating from F to A+++, we give it an A+++!

Food- delicious korean Mexican fusion, with variety of options. *Bulgogi burrito- good meal size. Looks small but heavy. Comes with a few chips, though were a tad stale. i would get this again. *3 tacos (shrimp, bulgogi and Kalbi) - prefer Bulgogi, meat soft and tender. Shrimp was lightly fried, slightly a little watery, but overall good, Kalbi tasted similar to Bulgogi, but the meat was chewier. * rice cakes on the sticks- one soy, and one spicy. I can live without these carbs. If I can handle spicy, I prefer that one, slightly more flavor. Service- fair, nice. Ambiance - handful of seats, inside and outside. Though outside (Early April) was pretty cold and dirty at the time. Locations next to Chinatown train station, directly across from Rogers arena, facing Expo Blvd. Super easy by foot if you're in downtown. Less than a minute walk to Costco, so consider eating here with next Chinatown Costco trip! Value- fair! Recommend- YES!

Have seen a few stores that have done the Korean/Mexican fusion idea, but none in Vancouver that execute as well as TAKO. Nestled right by the south western entrance of Stadium Chinatown Skytrain Station, this place is great option for takeout on the way over to a meeting or on the way home. The bulgogi burrito is a nice balance of all the delicious Korean meats in flavours packed into a burrito (everything from kimchi, corn, lettuce, cheese + the meat of your choice). For $12 they are packing a lot into this meal and I was pretty content after one of these burritos I got to-go. Happy hour is 2-5pm from Monday to Friday, so if you're curious, you can try them out between these hours. They need to definitely think about adding kimchi fries for a perfect combo! Overall, great place for takeout due to close proximity to the Skytrain. Can't comment on the indoor dining experience but can say it's very convenient to pack while commuting -- no utensils required!

A fusion of Korean and Mexican food right next to Rogers Arena. If you're heading to a game or concert, you might want to consider this small fusion eatery. They've got tacos, burritos, rice bowls... Also some Korean Fried Chicken! I chose a beef short rib burrito which was loaded and very filling. I would have liked for a little more sauce in it, but overall I was happy with my choice. I also tried their fried chicken with spicy sauce. This was less impressive and probably something I won't order next time. The sauce was kinda overwhelming. The service was great and having a patio is awesome. It would be nice on a warmer night to have a beer outside while pre-gaming. I think I'll have a go at the tacos next time I get a chance to stop by.

We ordered a set with gimbap, tteokbokki, and noodles. The tteokbokki had that classic sweet-and-spicy sauce, with chewy rice cakes that really hit the spot (comfort food at its best). The noodles were light but surprisingly satisfying, served warm and simply topped, a great balance alongside the richer, spicy dish. I always order the same thing, a mixed pork offal and soondae soup. You can choose the spiciness level when you order but they also offer red pepper flakes and fish sauce on the side to add to taste. It comes in small and large, with a side of pickled radish, roasted seaweed, and white rice. Even with the small, you get a lot of meat in the hot stone bowl and it is so comforting.
