A new transmission was installed the day it arrived at his Parma location, and I was able to enter the van back into service. Later we ran into more problems, the van is 5 yrs old and has nearly 200k miles. A contained leak meant fluids were getting into places you dont want them! Antifreeze and transmission fluid were hand in hand! I was so nervous about maybe losing my transmission warranty, and another $5k! I was assured if we ever needed a new transmission, he would honor the warranty and get it for me. That is exactly what Fred did! The little one and I walked around the neighborhood had breakfast and went to the store etc we came back almost 5 hours later to "pick up the car". She said " Why are you here?" She looked at me crazy then snapped at me -with hate ..." they didn't do anything! I told you that you would have to wait!" I told her it's almost been 5 hours not two, she then snarled at me that she was the manager so "call corporate." So, I went to Midas on Mayfield just down the street and the staff were polite and courteous. They were fast and charged almost half the price. I think this is my first Yelp but I hope Mr. Tire starts to take a look at the faces they put at the register to speak to customers from now on. Oil change manger was nice, older gentleman missing a tooth was doing my oil change. He drops the dip stick in the hood, instead of trying to find or telling someone he went to work on the next car. Once the younger gentleman came to my car he asked where was my dip stick then he says it fell inside. So he goes under the car start unscrewing the plastic under the body. He couldn't get it, now he's unscrewing the plastic from under the hood. He's under the hood moving and pulling trying to get the dip stick. All on a nut shell my car making a noise now that it wasn't before and I left messages with no call back. Today is Wednesday, I call and talk to a guy by the name of John, very rude guy I can't and I won't drop my car off there because I work 12 hr shifts mon-fri. He said it nothing they can do unless I drop it off and if it was even caused by them‍‍‍ Yes it's definitely something y'all can do pay for my diagnostic test and we can take it from there. Once I gave Mike the information on the car, I began walking home knowing it would be at minimum an hour or so to fix the issue which according to initial diagnostics, appeared to be a bad starter motor. I was no more than half way home and my phone rings. My car was ready! How could that be? It turned to be a piece of plastic that should have been removed when the battery was installed .... 3 YEARS AGO! I should never have been able to drive the car with that piece of hard plastic on the positive terminal and I've been to mechanics who would have taken advantage of the situation. Not Mike! Talk about honest! He didn't charge me anything even to look at it. I must have some hard working angels. I offered to pay something for his time but he refused.
