Two different vehicles. Two separate visits. Same issue -- skid plate not properly secured after an oil change. Both times the plate came loose while driving. That is a major safety hazard. What an absolute sh*t show nightmare of an experience. "10 minute drive through oil change" my a$$. Pulled in at 4:30 on a Friday, did not leave til almost 6:30. The employees couldn't stop staring outside and the cars lining up, b*tching about it. Gentlemen - focus on the car in front of you, knock them out one at a time, there's nothing you can do about getting more business, god forbid. Must be SOoOoOoOo terrible to have a steady flow of customers. The long wait, while listening to the people at the bus stop screaming and fighting on the corner, was not the worst part, no. After all that, they straight up lied on my receipt stating they topped off all fluids. And I know this because I had a "no washer fluid" light on for months before going here. I turn my car on at the end of the experience, and I still have the "no washer fluid" on. So I press the button and no shock, there is no wiper fluid coming out. Shocker. So I tell the guy and he says pop the hood and fills it up. This leaves me with a hard time believing they filled the other fluids. They were so concerned with selling additional services, they didn't even do the one I paid over $100 for correctly. Why would I ever want to add more from you? Also - train your employees! They should not be watching YouTube videos on their phones while working on my car cause they don't know how. Extremely unprofessional, horrible, terrible experience. I used to rave about Take 5 but clearly their budget cuts and short staffing has ruined a once good thing. This location is awful. Everytime I come here they either don't have the filter or there is two people working on ten cars. They do the best they can but there are more oil bays than human beings. Sorry Veterans and Military. Even with the great discount. It's not worth multiple trips back or waiting two hours before to do what used to be 20-30 minutes in and out. This location has won my trust over and over again. I used to go to Jiffy Lube which was a nightmare so I was skeptical coming here. Did not disappoint. These guys are professional and attentive even when they are swamped with cars. They even fixed my low pressure sensor, that Jiffy Lube broke, without ask or extra cost. They do get very busy at times but if you are patient, they will take care of you for sure. read more

Kemp is the manager at this location and originally came off professional. His true colors showed when him and his team performed a service incorrectly to my truck. This location now offers front and rear differential flushes. Because it is a new service, the experience doing them showed when performing the service on my truck. Drove it off the lot and minutes later my truck was making a whining noise and leaking fluid from the rear diff. Immediately took it to the nearest Take 5 (Holland rd) and they noticed the leak and stated the wrong fluid was applied. That locations manager called Kemp and Kemp said he would take care of it. What he meant by that was that he would cover his tracks to insure Take 5 would not be responsible. His report to the claims company (Fleet Response) contradicts his verbal saying. He has nearly gone ghost and refuses to speak with me about the situation even though I have been nothing but respectful and patient through this whole ordeal. Total cost of repair will be $3300 and best believe I will be pursuing further legal action due to their negligence. read more

They changed the oil and also filled the air on my tires as well as topped off all of my fluids. They even clean your windshield when they are done. Good evening this is a review for take 5 on Holland Road, I must admit there is a high turnover for this shop. I took my 1996 Mercedes Benz S 500 there today 01Sep25 for an oil change and I must admit it is not a normal car. I had to show the workers how to open the hood which is normal because it is a unique car and in addition, they usually don't carry the oil filter so I always bring one. I work on my own car and usually change my own oil from time to time but today I was just not feeling it. I pull in as I mentioned got the hood opened told the teamed the exact oil I wanted the European grade oil and the correct weight. They went through all of the checks and the guy says start your car and I said no you did not change my oil filter, he stated he did. I always wait for the technician to ask where is your oil filter because it is not normal and it is not under the car like other cars. I also did not see him remove the filter retainer cap which I know is under the hood of most older Mercedes'. I get out of my car and said " show me the filter you change" he should me and it was bone dry and was the filter he should Have installed. He continously stated he changed the filter I said no and I was going to call the 911(cops). He asked me to leave (Syn was his name) he said said he was the manger, and I said no. The cops arrived and was very helpful and ask him to show where he removed the filter from. The manager (Syn) took 30 minutes and could not remember and stated he had a learning disability. I had showed the police the location of the filter so they knew(Officer Davidson and Officer Munoz) thank you. After 30 minutes he never found the location of the oil filter, I showed him the location and he gave me what he said was the dirty oil filter and the officers witnessed it. I left and changed my own oil filter. My concern is for the Virginia Beach citizens that don't know anything about cars this shop could have/will cause damage to your brand new car due to laziness, lack of qualification, lack of accountability, or just to fill their corrupt pockets with your hard earned money and regardless it is not fair. Take 5 you owe the Virginia Beach citizens an answer. If you experienced a castrophic engine failure post visit to take 5 on holland road call them they owe you an answer. BE AWARE!!! These guys can't perform a simple oil change! They left the oil plug out and caused engine damage to my daughter's car and refuse to do anything about it. Slowest take 5 I've ever been to. Showed up and pulled up behind one of the bays. The car in the bay and then me next in line. Waited behind the first car for nearly 45 minutes and then finally was able to pull up, but the whole thing took nearly over an hour before I could pay and leave. Long story, short, here we are almost 2 hours later, and now they have to tow our vehicle. okay i'm 19, joined the navy at 17, i've never had an oil change done by myself before. i know how to do it but i'm so busy with work i haven't been able to find time to do it myself so i took it here and it really did take only 10 minutes! they were extremely professional, they were NOT pushy (coming from a woman) but did give a few completely optional recommendations like coolant and air filters. i didn't feel pressured at all though and they were super kind and helpful. 10/10 recommend! also got a 25% military discount so make sure y'all let them know if you're military!! read more

*edit* I was contacted a few days later by the Company, they asked for our contact info but they never reached out! Don't go here! Very INCOMPETENT, LIARS and RUDE. Me and my husband went to get an oil change on 11/09/19 at 02:55 PM. It was our third time at the location this year. Shortly after we left our car started to make a wierd engine noise and also we could hardly change the gears anymore. We called your Service right away and we asked if they put maybe the wrong oil in our car because before getting there our car was functioning perfectly. The person on the phone told us that it was the correct oil. We towed our car to the Lincoln service thinking that we have some major problem with our car unrelated to the oil change. The service was closed early that day and there was Veterans day on Monday so we left our car there for a few days and on Friday 11/15/19 we picked up our car only to find out that the person who changed the oil didn't connect several components. The mass air sensor was not plugged in, the PCV tubesc were also not connected to the airbox causing a vacuum leak. I will attach a picture with the official report. We would not think it is something related to Take5 at that moment. We are lucky we didn't get into an accident considering the way the car acted after the oil change! We had to pay for towing and rent a car untill our car was fixed plus we had to pay 189.99$ for the mechanic. I am going to attach all the documents that i have as proof of the incident and we would have liked to get a refund or a credit for oil change at least for the amount of the money that we payed for the mechanic. After emailing the mamager the things that i wrote here too, he met my husband this morning to talk personally and he told him that our car had these problems before we got there (so he basically said we are lying!)...wow, at least admit your mistake because it obviously was, very UNPROFRSSIONAL! Just lost 2 customers and our friends will certanly not go there as well or any other Take 5. read more

These guys are awesome! Came here after work to get my oil changed after quite some time. Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly and had a smile on their face despite being in the cold weather. They offered me different options and explained the difference between each one. They also offered a free water when I drove up. I watched as they topped off all of my fluids and checked the wiper blades and air filter. They also went ahead and put air into all my tires. I felt they gave an honest assessment of everything I needed and what I didn't need. I will 100% return to this location. I've been to other Take 5 locations which I felt did not do the same quality of work. This location is the best and the employees are awesome. I was in and out in about 15 mins. Great service. I don't know if they've changed management but they didn't even check my tires, they didn't check my filters, they didn't top off the other fluids like my windshield wiper fluid. They even had a difficult customer while I was there and they were very professional and polite. You would have to put in effort to get an argument from these guys. Now imagine you're driving in -2 degree weather and you need to get the road grime off of your windshield, and nothing comes out.
