With one car in front of me waited 25 minutes to get in, then 30 minutes later it was $125 for an oil change (discounted from $189) and now my engine is leaking oil everywhere. When I contacted Take 5, they said I needed proof that my vehicle wasn't leaking before the oil change. I offered photos of my clean driveway (except for the new oil spots), but they refused, saying only a certified shop inspection would suffice. I came in yesterday 07/02 for a basic oil change. Paid $120 for the oil change, they proceeded to "complete the job" and told me I was good to go. As soon as i turned right onto sheridan out of the parking lot, my windshield got covered in oil and the entire engine bay got soaked in oil. My car then proceeded to die. I didnt even get one block from the shop. I walked back to the shop and they were unwilling to help me with anything what so ever. They proceeded to give me a claims number that is disconnected. And basically just kept saying they dont know what happened and they cant help me. I potentially have to get a new engine now. I arrived back to the shop this morning 07/03 at 7 am when I was told to be there to talk to Gloria the shop manager. She called in sick. She knew i would be there to meet her. So i got the same run around of not being able to help me. I then had to pay out of pocket for my vehicle to get towed from where it died to a shop for diagnostics, which I will also have to pay for. This is absolutely unacceptable. I need a claim filed as soon as yesterday. I have video and photo evidence of every minute i was there til i left til the moment my car stopped working on my dash cam. I have everything I need to provide. They still have the $120 fo rthe oil change they did that destroyed my car. I cant get anyone to answer the phones to help me. Just a miserable situation really. Unacceptable. read more

I've been to this location a few times now, and today was the worst experience I've had so far. There was a new man named Gage training, and he was very nice. Covered all the bases for me as if I had never been here before. However, there was another guy named Caleb that would NOT stop pushing sales even though I said no multiple times. He said "yeah I hear you, so I'm going to ask anyway. " I then told them I was in a hurry. This service of a basic oil change doesn't usually take more than 7 minutes, today I was here for about 25 and I was the only car in the bay. I overheard another employee named Hudson say "why is it a problem that we're talking about her air filter when she has to wait for us to finish anyway?" Referring to my being in a hurry to get to work. It was a weird experience and I was uncomfortable. The stereotype of men making women feel very small when it comes to things they're not well versed in is so true. read more

I was curious why there was no one in line as there usually is... now I know. They raised the prices of a synthetic 5-quart oil change to basically $100 dollars. At the same time, they reduced the amount of the online coupon from 10 down to 7 dollars. So, I paid 92 dollars for an oil change, when it cost me about 57 the last time I had it changed at this location. The ONLY reason that I paid that price this time was because I needed to get it done and I was in a hurry. I asked why the price had increased so much and the technician told me some ridiculous story about inflation and them changing oil brands. Sorry, but there is absolutely no reason that justifies this amount of price increase. In addition to this, they topped off my windshield wiper fluid with some cheap fluid that was evidently watered down. It was 25 degrees this morning and the fluid froze and would not flow through the lines. For a $100 dollar oil change, they should use top quality fluids. I usually use a Rain-X brand fluid which has never frozen in much colder temperatures. When I went out for lunch and the weather had warmed up, the fluid worked fine. One of the techs tried to tell me that my air filter was dirty and needed to be changed. I asked him how long they should last and he told me 5000 miles, which I knew was a lie. I then told him that they had just replaced the air filter the last time that I had an oil change and the air filter for my Jeep typically is good for 20,000 to 30,000 miles, depending upon driving conditions. I commute to work on a paved highway, so my driving conditions do not include driving through a desert or off-roading. They also asked if I wanted them to check the cabin filter. I said yes. They couldn't find it and the young lady who was looking tried several times to pull my glove box out by pinching it and tugging on it. I had never checked the cabin filter, but I did a quick search on my phone which took 5 seconds that showed there are 6 torx screws holding the glovebox that need to be removed to check or change the filter. I told them to not worry about checking it (to prevent them from breaking my glovebox). Since buying this Jeep in 2020, I had always had my oil changed at this Take 5 location. The quality of service has disappeared. The last time I had my oil changed here, they didn't put the oil filter on tight enough and it was leaking oil in my driveway. When I told the tech this time to be sure and check that the filter was tight enough, he cut me off and said "Yes we are doing that. That is why we have a different technician inspect it than the one who changed it." I thought, okay, if that is true, why did it happen last time? Did they both miss it? There were 5 or 6 different people working on this oil change. I guess that's where the price increase goes. It takes 6 people to do the work of 1 or 2. I will never be going back to this business and I will warn everyone I can to avoid them. I will gladly change my own oil in the future or take it to someone who can do this simple process for a reasonable price. This is a shame. Back when the service was good and the prices were not obscenely out of line, I routinely drove all the way to this location from my home which is about 25 miles away to get it done because I usually could stay in my car and it didn't take too long. I now regret paying to have this done. I should have driven straight out of there as soon as I saw the price change and when they lied to me about my air filter. They are either hiring people who have no idea what they are doing or else hiring people who are lying to customers in order to up-sell them into buying something they don't need, and I don't know which is worse. read more

Long story short after about 2 weeks of pouring oil in it almost daily, we were waiting to get paid to take to mechanic, I finally climbed under to see what was wrong. They did not tighten the oil filter, to me at all. I can't believe it didn't fall off. Used to be the only place we took all 4 of our vehicles, lost a customer. Do not go here. Had a coupon we received in the mail so decided to go here and use it. When we pulled up we were waved to the middle lane. We were told the right lane was going to open up first but they wanted to keep the order straight?? They also put white paint all over the upper left hand corner of the windshield to help keep the order. We were only car waiting and the truck in the right lane then left. We were also told the truck in front of us was almost done. 20 minutes later we were still waiting when a car pulled up to the right lane. They let them pull right in even though we had been waiting 20 minutes and never offered to pull in the open lane. The car in the left lane had just left. They didn't offer to have us pull over there. Then a truck pulled in and an employee actually asked the guy waving the truck in if they should let us pull over there. He said no, the truck should be done in a minute. REALLY! We had now been waiting 25 minutes and they let 2 cars pull in as soon as they pulled up. We left at that point and had to back all the way out because they have cones blocking the driveway. Totally dysfunctional. I would not want them touching my car. read more

Not servicing it. 2 other cars in the other bays, couldn't see if they were even being worked on. But saw 2-3 other people standing around. Finally decided to just get out, close my lid, & leave. The absolute best guys! They looked everything over and realized that because of COVID, I hadn't driven my car enough to get an oil change at this time. They educated me on what to look for abs changed my sticker to a new date for me to come in. They filled my tire with air and topped me off and didn't charge me. Upon pulling up there was one other car there, so I figured it would be quick. The guy came out to my car, insulted my car, then struggled to open the hood for 5 minutes before I got out and opened it for him. I pulled into the garage and waited another 20 minutes for them to get to me (They were not short staffed). When they got to me the process took another 30 minutes for them to change my oil. Once they were through the guy had me turn my car on and my tire pressure and light sensors came on, I asked what they may have done to trick these sensors and they assured me everything was fine. When I got home I noticed they actually busted out one of my lowlights. I will NEVER return here, I wish I could give them zero stars. read more

The best place to get your oil changed hands down. It's fast and the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. I am not the best at maintaining my car, but the workers never shame me or make me feel bad if I've waited too long to come in for a change. They go above and beyond with customer service and always provide water along with cleaning your windshield. Even for a regular oil change they make sure all your other fluids are topped off along with looking at your tire pressure. Overall, great experience in a short amount of time. read more
