All three bays were full when I arrived, so I waited for one to finish. The technician waved me in. Once in the bay, he went into the office without acknowledging me, or seeing what services I needed. I was there to check the oil in my tires and wanted to check my oil as I had reached the date indicated on my last change. I sat there for 10 minutes while I watched the employees walk back and forth. The girl getting oil for the guys under the hoods was chatting up her co-workers and not doing anything worthwhile. She was in the next bay when I let her know I was only there for a tire check. She came over but didn't determine the correct pressure needed for my tires and proceeded to fill them and without saying a word, waved me out. After patronizing this location for over 10 years, I will not be back. read more

Dont bother with this place. I tried to call for pricing on an oil change for a 3008 mercury grand marquis. After waiting 15 min for them to finally answer the phone I was told that they DO NOT SELL ANY OIL OTHER TGAN FULL SYNTHETIC and that oil change is 89$. There is a ton of other places to get a better deal on an oil change in slidell. I hate being lied to. I have never heard of any oil change depot that only sells full synthetic. The advent of quick service oil change places was a great thing. I don't know if it was Mr. Jiffy Lube or someone else but that person was a genius. Adding the option to remain in your car while you get an oil change is revolutionary. I'll never get another oil change any other way. This is not my regular location. I ended up here because I was driving to a work meeting in my personal car and remembered I needed an oil change. This was the closest spot so off I went. On the weekday I visited the station was full. I didn't have to wait long for a free aisle and all in was around 20-25 minutes. In addition to the oil change, my tire pressure was checked and my windows were washed. They even adjusted the tires to my exact specifications. My vehicle requires two different pressures between front to back and they had no issue accommodating me. If you need an oil change, find you a Take 5 location and you'll be happy. read more

After sitting waiting for 30mins the black dyke told me to wait while she helped the black girl who pulled up 20mins after me. She had her done and out had no one there then proceeded to wait and when another black women showed up she called her over. Still sitting there waiting. They lost a long time loyal customer. Waited over 55 minutes whilst the staff wandered around looking lost and aimless. Guy in front of me left before he was served. Tookn20 minutes to open the hood on the Fiat in front of me and was still up when I left. White Chevy truck sat in third bay for over 30 mins. 8 mins before I left another customer pulled in and was een in less than 10 mins as those of us who had been waiting were bypassed without any consideration or contact by the staff. Absolutely the worst experience at that location I have ever had. Just pitiful and no excuse. read more

They put the oil cap on crooked so it was allowing air to come into the cylinder head of my car. Caused my car to throw a bunch of codes. It cost me $200 to get it fixed. I will never be back here. read more

I woke up to an oil spill on my garage floor. I went in to Take 5 and had them find the problem. The shop manager, Matthew Weeden, provided excellent customer service. He found the problem, which did trace back to employee error on my last oil change, and he fixed it right away. He cleaned up the oil on the rack under my car and replaced my oil. When I showed him a picture of the oil on my garage floor, he understood my duress. The next day he came by with a cleaner and cleaned the garage floor. He went above and beyond to see that he would have a happy, returning customer. I have already been telling this story to family and friends, so it is sure to attract new customers to the shop. I am writing to whom it may concern in regards to an oil change I received at the 198 gause blvd west location Slidell, La on Dec 22, 2020. Not even a month later on January 13 (this past wed) I heard a knocking sound in my engine when I started it. Confused, I looked it up to find one of the main causes of this to be low oil in the engine. I had just had a service done 22 days prior to this incident with no reported leaks or issues with my vehicle! When I checked my oil it was below the safe line! I have proof of this incident with a photo of my dipstick with the oil reading below safe, a live recording of the fact that my engine had no oil, and a photo of the lack of service received receipt from dec 22nd! My fiancé called the corporate office receiving the lack of communication between someone higher to report this incident as well! I am now writing this in hopes to get the lack of proper service from the technicians at the named location reported and to document this occurrence in the event that something is truly wrong with my engine due to this poor service. If there is something wrong with my engine, and the issue isn't resolved I will be contacting the news in the local area. This is completely unacceptable, and dangerous! read more
