First off, this is my first time ever being serviced at a Take 5 facility. I initially went in with my brother-in-law for an oil change service. Kenny, who I found out at the end of my service was the assistant manager checked several different items, including cabin, air filter, engine, air filter, windshield wipers, and additional fluid to make sure that I'm safe and successful when leaving the facility. There were multiple items that I needed taken care of which we did indeed get taken care of while we were there. I would say from the time we pulled into the time we left we couldn't have been in there more than 30 minutes. And to top it off, Kenny was enjoyable. His attitude was outstanding. The other two gentleman in the shop were servicing not only myself but other customers Cam was also fantastic and I believe the other gentleman's name was Jamal. He helped on my vehicle. All around for everything I got done. I was very pleased with the value of my service. It's already frustrating enough having to get something done to your car so to be able to leave with a smile on my face and we're laughing and joking just made the experience even better, so I'll definitely be returning and recommending this specific facility to my friends and family. read more

They walked me through the process and made sure I was getting the service I needed. They have a couple of different levels of service depending on how much mileage you have on your car and what type of oil you want, but they will walk through it with you. read more

Went to get an oil change and told the employees what I wanted done. It took probably over 20 or 30 minutes by the time I was completely done. I was not satisfied and definitely felt it wasn't worth the value. I was not rude to ANY of the employees. In fact, I had more patience than other people would give them. And one of the employee was rude, when I declined something I didn't want done. He said, "You get what you paid for!" Ummmm His job is not to give attitudes to customers. I didn't ask for his opinions, just to get my oil change done. He lacks basic customer service skills. I've known mechanics you didn't act like him. I was so annoyed with the Take 5 employees, I went to a different business to have my oil change done months later. They charged me less and did the same work. And the other business is ACTUALLY HONEST with people. Of course, the other business is on Broad St as well. It was my first and last experience with Take 5, I will never come again. I have been going exclusively to this Take 5 location for a while now and have always loved their service, as well as the way they treat the customers. They went above and beyond every time and made me feel like they really wanted to give their very best. The last two times, however, were almost the total opposite. The three guys that were there were new to me, which is fine, but one of these young men, his name was Cam, was very sarcastic, rude, and insulting to me. He would not let me explain what has happened previously with my car, and that the manager last time put a note in the system, allowing me to get a top off after the usual mileage, because we were trying to find out where the oil consumption was going. But Cam would not let me finish my thought, and when I started becoming frustrated and a little upset, he started to ridicule me openly, and laugh to the other guys. I ended up leaving in tears. No customer should be treated this way, and no employee who treats customers the way Cam treated me, should be working there or anywhere, until he learns to show respect. I've always had a great experience here but Kenneth and Mycheal spend more time bullshiting with each other than working. They are the only two working today and they have ZERO sense of urgency. Take 5 Oil Change is fantastic if you hate making appointments. The prices are a bit on the high side, though you pay for convenience I suppose. After wracking my brain, Yelp, and Google to find somewhere to get my oil changed without breaking the bank, I settled on Take 5. It was around 5:30 and thankfully only one car was in one of the bays so I did not have to wait long. They clearly have a detailed process to follow and the gentleman who served me was relatively new and trying to ensure he adhered to the steps. He was reasonably pleasant and helped keep the experience streamlined (probably just as much for business efficiency as for my benefit). The pricing was a bit on the high side for a non-specialty change. Even opting for the middle option was about $70, which is expensive when you realize you aren't getting filters for that. Regardless, the speed was impressive, and I always worry that someone will leave something untightened that causes your engine to seize up at these convenience shops, though I did not experience any such issues here. All things considered, Take 5 is a good spot to take your car to when you need things taken care of quickly and don't want to take the time to schedule an appointment at an already-overbooked body shop. Worth a try! Overall: 4.0 stars ---- Pros: - Awesome convenience, stay in your car while everything is done for you. - Pleasant service. - Speed is excellent, and it's easy to get here since it's right on Broad. Went into today because our plate on the bottom it got some damaged from someone hitting the auto stop button inside of the car wash & I remembered they tightened it one time previously when I was getting my oil changed so I went there in a moment of panic & they had a replacement plate for our model car! BEWARE........ Mixed review. I went to Take 5 Oil Change on Broad Street on August 7th, approximately between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. While the crew was pleasant and friendly, they seemed disorganized. I can overlook that because we all have days like that. I was not unhappy when I left. LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER, MY CAR WAS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!!!!!! I left Take 5 Oil Change on Thursday evening and drove about a mile home. On Friday, I drove the 7.5 miles to work. At lunch, I left and got less than 2 miles away from work, and my car started overheating and smoking. My car was towed to the shop since it was undrivable at a cost of $120.00. Next up was my Uber cost, as I had to work and drive my 10-year-old to daycare. I do not have an "extra car" available. On average, that was $50.00 per day for 3 days. Upon inspection at the repair shop, it was discovered that there was clean, new motor oil in my coolant. Let me repeat that, MOTOR OIL IN THE COOLANT. A third party, with no vested interest in me, determined there was new motor oil in my coolant. He did not know I had just gone to get an oil change at that time. We later put the 2 together later. I called, Take 5 on Monday or Tuesday, spoke to the Manager, who assured me I would receive a callback and they would make it right. Now 15 days have passed, and I have not received a call back from the local location. I have even called back multiple times, and no one will answer the call. I have also called the corporate office, and they assured me a regional manager will return my call to discuss what has happened. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL. In the end, I had to scramble to buy a new car (new to me). Nothing expensive since I had no intentions of buying a new car at this time. I am a single mother who did not budget for a car payment or the increase in my insurance. I can only sell my car for parts due to the damage. Where is Take 5 in all of this? Who knows, since they are not responding. I hope they take my review seriously, as I would like to update it with a positive outcome. read more

I was so glad that I stopped at the Take 5 oil change. They found a leaking oil plug that had been stripped during a previous oil change at another service center. They took off the pan protector cleaned it up, installed a new self threading oil plug, changed the oil, topped off the fluids, checked the wipers, put air in all the tires, filled the oil then ran the motor at 2000rpm then rechecked the oil level. I thought they were very thorough and respectful people and I will return for all of my oil changes in the future. read more

This location will not stand behind its work nor honor compensation for poor service that was offered by their manager. Technicians are poorly trained. The special grand opening price is not worth the damage that Take 5 can cause. You are much better off to make an appt for oil change with an area car dealer who services your make. It costs no more and you know that the service is being performed by factory trained techs. read more

Tried Take 5 out after the Honda Dealer around the corner didn't perform the oil change I requested during a scheduled maintenance visit. This is a great concept, and the employees were fantastic.
