I have been going to take five for my last 405 oil changes and I know people who actually use take five. And the drive of service is exceptional, however, until you encounter a problem with them, and this is where it goes downhill.! and this is why I will never use take five again and I recommend you all not use. Take five again.! because when you encounter a problem, the customer service sucks. It is rated a zero.! you have no actual way to contact the store unless you go through the one 800 then when you have a problem, you stay on hold for a customer service representative to come to the phone. Mind you all from a one 800 number.! what's the phone you explained to them and only them what is going on and at that point they still cannot help you! You are only able to leave your information with the service prep as she will then email regional manager and they will take 5 to to reach back to you! And at this point they have not even reached back out to me! After several attempts to continuously, try to contact them with urgency due to a problem that they caused to my vehicle! I was in Dallas when I originally got my oil changed when I get to Houston I need another oil change to discover the oil cap has been put on too tight from the previous take five in Dallas! Now that's not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is to take five here in Houston is we are not going to touch that we could not get the cap off. You will need to drive back to Dallas to have them to take it off.! so in disbelief, I tried to go to the Dodge dealership to see if they will take it off for me because I'm just thinking take five is exaggerating! But nope the dealership also says it is too tight. We don't want to risk breaking the entire house so therefore we will not take it off either unless you plan on paying $2000 if we break the housing unit.! so now I go back and to take five to talk about the unfairness of this. I don't have time to drive back to Dallas to take care of this problem that they have caused because of this point now you're causing me another problem from my job time and my money ! They tell me there's nothing they can do except send it to the regional manager, and I will have to wait 5 to 7 days to hear from him which they're also telling me he's probably going to tell me also to drive back to Dallas! Absolutely ridiculous! As I told them you were risking my vehicle the motor of my vehicle because at this point, I don't know how much oil is in the tank because it needs to be changed so me risking to drive to Dallas to do further damage to my vehicle is unacceptable! So at this point, this is date three and I have not heard from regional manager, and the cap is still on and I still cannot get my oil change and my vehicle is still at risk of messing up the motor! So then we go to if the motor is messed up the vehicle is messed up, but then who replaced the vehicle! So take five let me ask you is it worth you getting someone here in Houston from take five to repair this cap situation versus you be responsible for an entire vehicle? I came here like a year ago and I just needed an oil change. They said my air filter was dirty so I let them change it. I got charged around $150 for the whole thing. So tell me why as I'm driving off my car suddenly sounds off. Like something is very wrong with it. Which before it sounded normal so obviously something happened during this appointment. Super weird right? They told me to just keep driving around and if it continues to make that noise then go to a mechanic. So I took my car to my grandpa and guess what his mechanic found? A broken STILL dirty air filter. It legit had a big hole in it and it was grey. So why did I get charged for an air filter change when it never happened? I use to go here all the time for my oil change but F that. I'm taking my car to my grandpa from now on. Don't come here unless you wanna get scammed. read more

I appreciate the quickness and being able to stay in my car for the oil change. However, don't advertise free tire pressure checks if this is not something you follow through with. I went to to get my oil change and asked for air to be put in my tires. The person helping me told me they always do that. When they told me I was good to go I asked about the tire pressure and they said they did it, but all of my tires were still low on air. I pulled to the side and they added air to one tire(they all needed air) and it still wasn't enough. I was told the number would go up as I started driving. The number never went up. read more

I would never go again to this place. I asked for an oil change and it's understandable they would have to look up specifications. But when it came to doing the oil change they thought they had the oil filter in stock but they got the completely wrong part. Alex was the one removing the oil filter and when they realized they didn't have it in stock they just put my old oil filter back in and did not even tell me. I witnessed this all first hand. They could not figure out how to reset the oil light either, and they told me to take it to the dealer to reset it, how does that make sense? You charged me $130 for the oil change but yet I still need to take it to the dealer, I would have just gone there in the first place, but now I wasted time doing the oil change here and didn't even receive what I paid for. read more

I used to take all my vehicles to this place for oil changes and some mechanic work. Since then they have done away with their mechanics and changed management. The new manager is not as knowledgeable as the previous manager. I'm guessing they fired all the employees who were previously working at this establishment. I really like when a business knows their customers. It just good for business, and we keep coming back. I just didn't get that feeling like I used to there. So my gut feeling it telling me to looks somewhere else. My opinion, I sure someone else had a good experience. read more

Great customer service even on a crazy busy Saturday morning. They let me know who was in front of me which I really liked that way I didn't feel like I was getting passed up. They explained what I needed and why and also told me of my upcoming services for next time they even gave me a discount because I added on wiper blades that were in dire need of replacement. I visited this place often for my cars oil change and all the staff are respectful and supportive, great customer service!

I had my vehicle inspected today (Texas Safety Inspection), and process was good up until the inspection was completed. As there was a waiting line, I was in the lobby area of the office waiting to pay. The inspector had an issue with the printer running out of paper, so it took about 4 minutes or longer to pay and get my receipt. When I asked for my keys and insurance card back however, he told me they were in my vehicle outside (which was out of sight, on the side of the Take 5 building). I found my truck outside with the KEYS IN IGNITION AND RUNNING, with insurance card on the dash. This is an unacceptable procedure - the vehicle could have easily been stolen during that 4 minute period without anyone seeing it, with keys left inside a running truck, unlocked of course! The Take 5 location was #555 (located at 1560 West Grand Parkway South, Katy, Texas 77494). I tried to leave a specific comment with Take 5 on the procedure change needed, but their contact web site was not functioning (I tried multiple times). I like to use Take 5 for the safety inspections on our vehicles given the location and typically good work, but may think twice in future with such sloppy vehicle 'security' by them. read more

Horrible wait time, I was trapped in and couldn't back out. 30-40 minutes to get into stall. I gave them another shot, fail...short line but pulled into stall after 5-10 minutes and they couldn't accept credit card. So, wasted visit. I'm done with this store! read more

The oil change was pricey - 100 something for my truck. Last weekend, I noticed that there was an oil leak under my truck, so I took it to RAM dealership and found out that the oil filter did not close correctly by previous car shop - Take 5 Oil Change (It was the last shop that I got my oil change). They were fast. But lazy. I asked them to check my tire pressure and instead of checking they blamed my sensor. I know my sensor is fine and my tire in the rear was low but they didn't even check! I had to go to another body shop just for them to add air to my rear driver side tire which was extremely low. And guess what?! My tire pressure light went off. I hate when you're a female and you get these men who don't even attempt to listen to what you tell them about YOUR car. I won't be back to this location. read more

In the past I haven't had the best experience at this location but today I received really amazing service even though I was not in a good mood and was being quite rude. The assistant manager and the guy he was training Daniel really took care of me despite the attitude I had. I was more frustrated with me barely having enough to take care of what I needed but knowing they are only doing their job by trying to upsell or advice me about things I should take care of soon. Inflation is just crazy high right now and almost of us are living check to check. I appreciate still receiving amazing service despite my attitude. I was asked to do a survey but I do not have an email on file so I decided to write it on yelp. I hope this gets the men who took care of me today the kudos they deserve. I had to return to this oil change place because they lost the filter stem on my oil filter cap when they changed my oil. Never again to this store point. For starters, they talk to you like you're an idiot. I've rebuilt engines, changed oil, starters, brakes, carbs, tires, etc. if they sell it at an auto parts store, I've done it. But the staff at this place is slower than molasses, but say they're fast. I watched 3 oil changes come and go while 4 techs tried to replace an oil cap in my Toyota Tundra. They hollered to shut it off because the replacement cap sprayer oil everywhere from cross threading the cap. I've been to a dozen Take5 places in 3 years. They were quick, efficient, knowledgeable and courteous. I doubt these grease monkeys even knew how to read, which is why I had to return to fix the screwup from April this year. Do not pull your car into this location. Save yourself some grief and time. Go ANYWHERE else. read more

This shop stays busy but the guys make sure to take care of you quickly and professionally. Customer Service is amazing from the time you pull up until you leave. They greet you by offering you water, juice and a snack for your little ones. The new company has you stay in your car, but it's a convenience thing and it ensures you are able to witness everything that is going on with your vehicle. I highly recommend this location and will continue to trust them with my oil changes and state inspections. There is also an on-site mechanic, which is also a plus. read more

Everything to take five has open. I have brought all three of my car's here to get oil changes today I came at 4:50 PM which it clearly states it stays open till five to get a top off for the week and it was one vehicle in the bay they told me that the manager said they're closed for now and they have an issue with another vehicle. Not sure why they would turn me around when I'm in a little six cylinder they probably only takes 2 quarts at the most to refill. I've also if you check the record brought my vehicle's and my motorcycle here for my state inspections so with oil change is going up to 80 and $90. I wouldn't refuse anyone at this point in order to take care of them specially, a Customer who brings their vehicles often to this location is very disappointing today to be turned around after I said that for five minutes and for them to me they're already closed and now I'm sending this to you. I'm writing this review at 4:58 PM so it is still not closed and if that's the case, the manager should've came out and explain his self why he would not give me a top off before they closed. read more

If you get a state inspection and they make you get new wipers make sure you ask for the total in advance. Went in for a state inspection and left with a total bill of 57 because the girl there did not specify the price of the wipers. When she told me she said it was 14 bucks. come to find out it was 14 bucks for each wiper, when you can get them at Walmart for 6 bucks a pair. read more

Conveniently located off Hwy 99 in a large shopping center. It isn't much to talk about in the way of decor, but it has a bathroom and it's relatively clean. I came in for an oil change and when they finished I got the receipt and it listed things that had been done from vacuuming the floor, checking fluids, and adjusting tire pressure. None of these things that are easily verifiable were done. There is really no telling what they did do. I should have learned from the last time I came here and they didn't even bother to change the sticker out. I'm only here now out of neccessity but it's my fault for coming back. I had the guy sign on the receipt where I crossed out the work they did not do. As an Army Chaplain and veteran I am sure I can find a place that believes in honesty and integrity as I do. read more

They changed the oil in my daughters Civic, did not put the fill cap back on!!!! We luckily discovered it after she drove back to Austin. As you can image, oil sprayed all over the engine.
