I was greeted and told there were 3 people working the bays so it shouldn't be too long. 10 minutes later I was guided into the bay. No problem. 25 minutes passed and NO ONE spoke to me to get my info or start working on my vehicle. Finally, I asked a guy that was walking past my vehicle if there was a traffic cone in front of me. He replied no. I said good...because I'm leaving. He said, Oh sorry. I won't be back. I understand having to wait....but 25 minutes and nobody checking? I stopped for an oil change at Take 5 because it was convenient (I was already on that side of town, anyone from Granbury knows that's a major plus), but I would strongly recommend going ANYWHERE else. * They charged me $1,150 for a basic oil change. The error was only fixed after I pointed it out, and the only receipts I received were the incorrect one and the refund/charge correction, not an itemized one. They did end up fixing it (still pending on my bank account as of right now, but only one charge has gone through fully). * They showed me a photo of a completely empty coolant reservoir, claimed it was from my car, and told me it was unsafe to leave without a coolant flush and that they would have to report it to carfax. The photo was not of my vehicle. I returned to get an itemized receipt and ask for my air filter back and they told me that they had not said it was empty (assistant manager Braiden Turner had me step out of my vehicle and look at the perfectly fine coolant reservoir (which he insisted was empty). When I said "yeah, what about it?" He switched to talking about it being the quality and state of the coolant being unsafe. * They removed my air filter, told me it had not been changed in two years and wouldn't work properly (I had it replaced in May and the inside of the pleats are still pretty white), and then failed to reinstall it before letting me leave. I left with NO air filter in my car. After this, I went to Jiffy Lube across from Whataburger because my car was getting hot and not accelerating right on my way home. They confirmed the issue, got me a new filter, and checked my coolant (it wasn't empty) and treated me with professionalism and kindness. I'll be going there from now on. Told me that I needed to get an itemized receipt and watch my bank account and to call them if I end up having any issues with my car after it being serviced. Nothing Takes 5 here. On phone with customer service for 15 minutes. Pulled in at 7:35A with one car in front of me. It's currently 8:17 and they just started. The only person doing any work, Caden, did a great job and was really nice and apologetic. He was left stranded outside to work by himself by his manager he said. Manager was on phone talking about microphones with a buddy, chatting with someone who was hanging out, in the office, etc. Customer service and retention must not be part of his scope... They over sold me something I did not need then they gave me an oil leak that I had to take to the dealership to have repaired! unless you want to have to pay extra for Repairs do not ever let this company touch your car. I wanted to share my recent experience at your Granbury location on Tuesday at 2:30 PM. I tried looking up the owner's information to contact you directly but couldn't find it -- so I'm sending this note because I think you should know what's happening at this shop. When I arrived, I was told they needed to finish another car before getting to mine. There were only two vehicles in the shop -- mine and a Honda -- yet there were six employees working on that one Honda for about 45 minutes. I even took a picture because I couldn't believe it. I changed oil in high school, and it was a two-person job. This seemed excessive, but what really bothered me was what happened next. I overheard staff telling the woman in the car next to me that their manager instructed them to tell her it was "unsafe" not to get a coolant flush -- which felt like a scare tactic. They also tried to upsell her on a "synthetic oil filter." I'm not against upselling when it's honest, but this crossed the line into misleading a customer. It made me lose trust in the shop entirely. They claimed they had a system update and erased all my info. They also didn't have my oil in stock, as I found out after waiting 45 minutes. I hope you'll look into this location's practices -- especially how they handle wait times and upsell conversations -- because right now, I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. I just left the Take 5 on Hwy 377 in Granbury, Tx. We are visiting and needed an oil change. There are three bays; I pulled into the one in the right: third in line. I waited 1 hours and 40 minutes. By the time they motioned me in, I had to leave to make another appointment. There were 8 vehicles processed through the left and center bays while I waited. I have used take five for years in FTW, Weatherford and Lubbock: never waited more than 30 minutes to pull into a bay. The manager should be re-trained or fired if this is how they manage. read more

Very, very disappointed. Had used take5 in FTW and Aledo, never an issue always professional. Whoever owns this shop , whether it's a franchise or corporate store, needs to stop in "unannounced ". Not sure who is in charge, but the big girl with the greenish hair has a different colored shirt. If she is in management, someone needs to be fired. The place is out of control, no order whatsoever. Seen 4 vehicles leave after 20 minutes or so. I waited 40 minutes just to get in the bay, then waited some more. Seen 4 employees and no one had a clue to or where to start. Not sure they weren't on shrooms or acid because they doing alot of laughing and standing around. Will be taking " my fleet " somewhere else. OBTW, had to leave 1 star so l could comment. read more

Came in this morning first thing at 8 am, I was greeted by Adam he's the service manager, he was kind and offered me water, theirs only a few guys (enough for one bay only) working today so they said I had to wait which I was not worried about because I have nothing to do today, after he brought me in the bay hunter was nice and made sure my tires where good and got everything ready, Adam was familiar with carcare services my Jeep Grand Cherokee has fluid maintenances from dealership at a discount, he took care of everything and showed me how it works, I did my oil change and then they explained that while checking all fluids they found my coolant looked really bad, showed me what was needed and then insutructed me that carcare will discount that service as well for coolant flush, they got me in and out pretty quickly, now I got both maintenance items taken care of, Adam even gave me a water to GO, that was cool of him to offer that to me. I pulled in today 11/3/24. I was asked by a male employee what I needed. I told him I needed an Oil Change. He proceeded to let me know he neither wanted nor appreciated my business by making this disgusting noise with his lips. I realized that this location was busy, but I should never feel that I am not appreciated as a customer. We try hard to shop locally, but instances like this make it hard for me to give my money to a company here in Granbury. I used to bring both our vehicles here for service. I have mixed feelings about my experience. They were quick and kind but I do not recommend coming alone if you are rather nervous/anxious person or a woman. When I went it was all men working. He asked if I wanted them to check my cabin filter and I said no, he pressed again and I said no again, and he pressed again so I caved and agreed to check and change it. Of course I could have been more firm but I had already said no twice and am just a rather anxious person. So there was an extra $45 I did not want to spend and tried to avoid. But when he asked if I wanted my tires checked and I said no, he left it at that. I guess because they don't make any extra money from filling those up. Also, when I pulled up and he checked the last time I went (I usually go to a Fort Worth location), he said I got Magntech or something like that last time and if I wanted to do the same. He was looking at what I had before pulled up so I assumed it was correct and said yes. It wasn't until I received my receipt that I realized he had bumped up the grade and I had actually gotten the UltraClean last time. But it had already been changed and I had already paid. Again I could've double checked but I really expect them to be truthful. Overall my oil was changed and everything is fine. But I feel very swindled and lied to. I went in for a $50-60 oil change and drove off paying double that for oil that I didn't use and a new filter that I didn't need. I would not recommend coming here unless you are very firm in what you want or are already knowledgeable. read more

I waited 30 minutes to get my pickup inspected. After inspection the girl informed me I needed a light bulb in my front blinker and when I got the bulb fixed she would give me the inspection form. I told her I would go get that right away and come right back. I did and when I went back the cars were 3 deep. When another young lady came out I told her I just needed to show that my blinker was fixed so I could get my inspection form. She said she would tell the girl that had done the inspection. Either she didn't or the girl decided to ignore her request. The girl started another inspection but I was able to get her attention. I told her I had gotten it fixed. She said well you'll just have to wait. I have 3 ahead of you. I said you mean I have to wait for these other cars just to simply get the form? She said it's company policy. So nope didn't get it and wasn't willing to wait an hour to get it. I went down the street and paid for another inspection. What is wrong with people these days? I don't get it. Won't go back there again. Thankfully both Auto Zone and the DMV were so helpful and so nice. read more

Should be called Take 50. Sat in the bay for an hour to finally be told they didn't have the oil I needed. Said they'd been running short on oil for my type of car. Seems like a good reason to check when I pull in instead of wasting an hour of my time. To their credit the guys were apologetic and gave me $20 off my "next visit". That's going in the trash. I heard that this place was quick and inexpensive.... $97 later I beg to differ. My car has 12000 miles and he said my air filter was brittle? I recommend asking how much before you pop the hood.
