They are very honest about what is or is not needed (spoiler: something your other mechanic told you might not be necessary yet or needed at all). Example: my other place told me that I needed to get rotors replaced (over $1000). This place told me that (1) I could wait until my next oil change in 6000 miles, (2) that they have a machine to resurface rotors instead of replacing them entirely, (3) that it would only cost me about one-third what the other place quoted. They are highly knowledgeable and they are also really good at finding deals. I referred a friend here who needed a part replacing and they called up different car yards to find the part to save her money (of course you can always get the more expensive versions of things too if you want). My friend just really appreciated that they were trying to help her save money. So yeah five out of five. I drive an hour out of my way just to come to these guys here.

We had several thousand dollars worth of work done on our very old 2005 Dodge Durango. It needed a variety of things done the biggest ticket items being the air conditioning, along with many battery problems that once we got the vehicle back had not been corrected. The air conditioning items that had been installed lasted for 2 days. When we took our vehicle back the solution offered was to put a new ac compressor in which would be another 2+K$$$ I feel we were "taken to the cleaners". I'm so disappointed. This was one of the most horrendous experiences ever and it ended up costing me $2000. Here's the…read morestory. I needed a simple CV axle changed very simple not complex and they did it and it cost me about 1000 bucks. Then when I started driving the car, I was driving about an hour and a half away and all of a sudden I started hearing a scraping noise a tremendous scraping noise coming from the front left part of my vehicle. I took it to a local Midas because I was too far away to go to the place where I had the repair done, and I walked to the bay door as they wiggle around the entire rotor. The mechanic came back and said that the axle nut was not tightened properly, which is a huge issue and concern. This resulted in them over tightening the nut and damaging the wheel bearing. After a lot of research and self-diagnosis ended up taking it into Honda requesting the only replace the wheel bearing and the issue completely resolved. I did not have this issue before. The bigger note here is that Midas will not help each other very much just simple inspections most likely due to liability reasons but just cause you take it to a minus does not mean you're in a good place. Honestly, with all the hassle, it would've just been better to get it done right by the dealership, even though it was slightly more expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for. The people were great and nice at Midas, but the quality of their work is really what speaks about why you'd want to go there in the first place and it's not very good quality work at all. Definitely do not recommend and will never come back to this John.
