Approximately two weeks later, he heard a clicking sound and immediately drove it to his auto repair shop. The vehicle had run dry--it had no oil in it whatsoever. So, when they drained out the old oil, they failed to put in new oil. This resulted in a completely new engine having to be put in the vehicle. This is a fairly new vehicle, so it didn't pay to just have it totaled. This most definitely was the most expensive non-oil change ever, at a $7,000 expense for a new engine. You shouldn't have to check the oil when you leave but I would highly recommend it.

I pull up in my vehicle which happens to be a manual transmission and the attendant says "hop out. I'll take it from here.".I go inside and as I look out the window, I see that the guy looks like he's not moving anywhere even though he's in the driver seat. I go outside to find him burning the clutch and nearly grinding the gears. For a moment I just sit there (trying to be patient) and watch, and ask him if he knows what he's doing, and he stalls. I offered to jump in the car and move it wherever it needed to be moved. He says, "No I got it proceed to turn the car on it and begins back up, but then kills it again." If you're going to run a service that works on cars either you need to know how to drive those cars or allow the owner to actually move it or needs to be. I did offer to leave and take my car somewhere else when another tenant comes says, "Hey, I can move it. He jumps in, but he is burning the clutch like nobody's business". Frustrated is an understatement and how I felt. The car was a VW. Nothing exotic. I would not recommend this place if you have any type of vehicle that you care that you care about.

I want to share how grateful I am for the honesty and professionalism I received from Hunter and…read morethe team at Ultimate Car Care. They helped me through a very stressful situation involving a serious service mistake made at another shop. My vehicle had been returned to me with no transmission fluid and five quarts of oil poured in on top of the existing oil. I brought the car to Ultimate Car Care for diagnostics, and Hunter did a thorough, careful evaluation. What stood out most was Hunter's integrity. He could have easily taken advantage of the situation or exaggerated the damage, but he didn't. He was completely honest and straightforward, and he explained everything clearly. The Kwik Kar district manager even thanked Hunter personally for being truthful about the car not being damaged. That says a lot about the kind of shop this is. Ultimate Car Care has also done excellent work for me recently -- they replaced the spark plugs and coils on my Forester, and the car has been running perfectly ever since. Their communication, workmanship, and customer service have all been outstanding. I highly recommend Hunter and Ultimate Car Care. They are kind, professional, and trustworthy, and they've earned my confidence and my business.

We had used them previously for a simple fuel filter change and they were able to do that for $100 less than the dealer wanted to charge so we wanted to try them again. They did not disappoint. They replaced the AC compressor and washer nozzle and hose for less than $1500 after tax and shop fees. This was several hundred less than another shop I had quote the work. ECC also didn't try to get me to replace the AC condenser or filter which saved us hundreds of dollars so I appreciated them not upselling additional services that might be unnecessary. Lastly, ECC will waive the diagnostic fee if you have them complete the repair which is also better than the other shop that quoted the work.

In May, I took a Audi in for a Water Pump and Thermostat replace ($2,383). Then they told me there was water now in the oil for my approval, but replaced an Emission System separator for another $2,000. (I now question if I really needed this.) In October, I ask them to check the brake system; they returned an estimate for over $3,000 to replace pump and master cylinder. At this point I went for a second opinion - everything was in good shape except the fluid needed changing. No more brake problems for $150. $3,000 vs $150 - would you go back to European Car Care?
