    They'll leave your filter loose causing you to lose a ton of oil then won't take accountability for it. Looking at me as if I'm a crazy person with the dipstick in my face claiming they didn't add any oil to the engine. Not realizing that the tech showed me the dipstick at half not even an hour earlier. Then they have an attitude with me bc I'm not agreeing with this narrative because I know what I saw. Asking them to put my hood down so I can leave bc they obviously will not rectify the issue. This is why I never go to places like this unless it's the only option. Never again. Currently on the phone with corporate to get my refund. Ridiculous. My 8 year old nephew can do an oil change better than this. And the only reason it wasn't a bigger issue is because I caught it. So I'm not really sure why THEY have an attitude, they should be glad it was caught before my engine locked up. Also prior to deciding to just take it in for an oil change because it's cold out, I was going to do it myself. I was able to visually see for myself that my filter and filter housing were dry. When I brought it back to these guys it was very visibly wet obviously from oil. Please explain how that is possible if there were no leaks??? Or if the filter was not loose and installed properly? There's no reason there should be oil under my vehicle if this was done properly. But the assistant manager had the nerve to look at me, like I'm the idiot? Or like idk what I'm talking about. Right. Makes perfect sense. I will take this up as far as I have to in order to get my money back. This is beyond ridiculous. Below is a photo of after they dried off all of the extra oil. That is why the pan looks so clean. You can still see circled where some oil is left behind from wet to dry. How is this possible if there were no leaks? If this was installed properly it shouldn't leak at all. Also shown is a photo of my parking spot with fresh oil on the concrete. But there were no leaks right? This assistant manager should be fired for the way he handles discrepancies Only regret is not getting more proof of their mistake before they touched my truck again. Because they're doing whatever they can to avoid accountability. Didn't think I'd have to go through this to get someone to correct a mistake they made. It's a crazy world we live in today! FYI: If an oil change is done properly your undercarriage should not be wet AT ALL. Nor should the concrete beneath my truck have oil spots that weren't there prior. That should say enough within itself.

I'd replaced the battery before, so I tried that again... nothing. My (very mechanically inclined) husband tried too--still nothing. That kicked off the search for a replacement, and wow--what a frustrating experience. The dealership quoted me $600 to replace and program a new key. Automotive locksmiths were all over the place--$180, $250--and the whole process felt vague and transactional, like you couldn't get a straight answer without jumping through hoops. Then I found Avondale Auto Repair through the Costco Auto Program--and everything changed. Rick answered the phone, and within seconds I felt reassured. He was straightforward, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest. Instead of trying to sell me something, he explained the pros and cons--how aftermarket keys often don't last, and how they source directly from the dealer but can usually save customers about $100. No pressure. Just real, helpful information. When I came in, that same feeling continued. The shop itself is clean, bright, and welcoming--nothing like the typical auto repair environment. Nathan (Rick's brother-in-law) was at the front desk and immediately made us feel comfortable. Friendly, genuine, and incredibly helpful. Before recommending anything, he opened up my key and inspected it to confirm it wasn't just a battery issue. That alone told me everything--I wasn't being upsold. They were actually trying to help. Then Rick came back from lunch and did the same thing again, just to double check. I paid a deposit and they said they'd call once they got the key from the dealership. It took a few days. Even though they were short-staffed they week of my FOB order, Nathan handled everything with professionalism and kindness. He called three different dealerships to track down my key (since it was out of stock everywhere), coordinated the order, and made the whole process seamless. When I came back to drop off my car, even the staff helping me park were warm and courteous--it's those small touches that really stand out. We used to have a go-to repair shop nearby, but after a change in ownership, it just hasn't been the same. Now, we've found our new place. Avondale Auto Repair didn't just fix a problem--they earned our trust. And that's everything. That's how you do it, Nathan and Rick!

I told the individual I'd call back. I called again and same experience. Rather than apologize the guy snaps at me, "I can hear you!" So ok I'll move on. I requested service and he said,"what's wrong with your car?" A hum, nothing I would like an alignment. It was a strained conversation to say the least. Preventive maintenance must be foreign to this shop. I asked how long would they need to keep my car, "I don't know, we'll call you when it's done!" Now this guy never ask what make car, is it pulling nothing. I've always taken my car to the dealer and that's what I'll do this time. E & J suggest you learn to show some patience and some lever if customer service. I'm a local home owner and frankly wouldn't take my car here now if it was the last shop in the area.

Upon arriving at the appointed time, after driving an hour there, Ryan said I'd have to leave it, said he never told me I could wait, called in the manager who rudely fought with me that I was wrong and that he would never have approved that commitment. These people lied to me, probably just to get me into their shop, pull my car apart, and then leave me with no option but to do whatever repairs they wanted. How could any decent person trust a business like this ?
