    4500 miles of driving and it's time for an oil change. I pulled up to the doors and was warmly greeted. There were cars in all three bays but once they handed me that bottle of water (I did not realize I was so thirsty!), we're committed. I have no problem with the quality of the work. Oil change done, air filter checked (I replaced it myself two months ago), windshield cleans, tire pressure checked and new decal handed over. The price is a little on the high side and I realized afterwards that there are coupons online. I'll know that for next time. [Review 16365 overall - 3149 in North Carolina - 1872 of 2021.]

Within five minutes, they had my car in a stall and diagnosed the problem--my water pump had completely blown, and the car wasn't going anywhere. Although they couldn't fix it at their shop, they went above and beyond to help. They guided me into a safe parking spot, found a nearby shop that could handle the repairs, and made sure everything was arranged for the tow truck. I still had to get my kids to school and get to work, and they told me not to worry--they'd take care of it all. And they did. I want to give a special shout-out to Red--he was incredible--but truly, every single crew member there was just as kind, accommodating, and professional. These people are the definition of customer service. They turned what could have been a nightmare of a day into something positive, just by showing genuine care and competence. This team is PURE GOLD. They know their stuff, treat people with respect, and absolutely deserve recognition. From now on, this is my go-to spot for all vehicle maintenance.     Over the past 5 years, I have come to this location for several oil changes, tire repairs, and have…read morepurchased a total of 7 tires and had few to no issues. I recently had a flat tire replaced, after which my TPMS was throwing error signals. I dropped in shortly after and was asked to drop off my car at some point for it to be looked at closer. I dropped off my car around 9 a.m. last Saturday. By 3 p.m. I had not heard anything back, so I called and was told they were only just then getting around to looking at my car. I can empathize with being short-staffed, but if it is going to prevent my car from being looked at all day, then I should have been asked to bring it by on a different day. I informed the person on the phone that I needed my car back by the end of the day, as I would need it Monday morning. When I stopped in before closing, I was informed that my TPMS had been recalibrated. I was also informed that they could not find my contact information (the VIN had not been entered correctly). I was told by the person who worked on my car if the error came back to bring the car back to be looked at again. However, the error continued to appear on my drive home. The following Wednesday, I dropped my car off around 9:30 a.m. to hopefully have the issue resolved. As with before, I did not receive any call from the shop. I called around 3 p.m. and asked for an update. I was again told that they were short-staffed and was also told that my car had been forgotten about and that they would look at it then. I went to the shop after my work around 5 p.m. and requested an update. I was then told that my car still had not been looked at by anyone. I expressed my frustration and was told by the individual I was speaking with that they would look at my car momentarily. I sat in the lobby for the next 45 minutes with a clear view of my car as not a single soul approached it. When I looked, the individual I spoke with was nowhere to be found. So I spoke with a tech on the oil change side and asked him to grab my keys, which he did, and then expressed his apologies. I do not have plans to return for any type of service here any time soon despite otherwise positive interactions in previous years. Again, I understand staffing concerns, but as someone who had an issue arise immediately after a tire change, then to have my vehicle blatantly ignored over the course of additional drop-offs and an utter lack of communication is wholly unprofessional.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would…read more I had a terrible experience at Valvoline Instant Oil Change and feel compelled to share it so others can avoid what I went through. After my oil change, they forgot to put my engine splash shield back on properly. The very next day, while picking my mom up from the airport, I heard a loud crash while driving. I pulled over and saw the shield dragging on the pavement. I had to lie on the hot ground and try to pop it back into place myself. In the process, I cut my hand and still had to deal with it falling off two more times before I even got home. In over 10 years of car ownership, I've never had something like this happen. Later that night, I got a notification that my oil had been overfilled. When I brought the car back the next day, they admitted that the bolts for the splash shield were never put in, and yes--they had overfilled the oil. But the worst part? Three weeks later, I took my car to the dealership and found out that the oil cap had not been put on properly, and my car had been leaking oil the entire time. Absolutely nothing was done right, and no manager ever contacted me about any of this. I've truly never had such a bad experience with car service in my life. I'll never go back to Valvoline, and I highly recommend others avoid them as well. Also my dealership is significantly cheaper.
