This was my first time seeing something like this and Boy am I appreciative. Sun City was one of the 5 options in which I messaged 3 of the 5 and received a response from all 3 however the hours and availability as well as the reviews related to Sun is the reason I choose to proceed with Sun City. This place is nestled up a little rocky hill and can easily be mistaken for a small tow yard or parking if driving too fast. I called and schedule an appointment for a FREE diagnosis and upon arriving I was greeted by Sandy who was pleasant and handed me a form to complete as a newbie. I checked in on Yelp and showed Sandy and received my coffee cup (tea cup in my case as I don't drink coffee). The waiting area is small with 4 seats and a television, I was lucky to be there when I was as I had the second seat. Chuck took me out to show me under the car and explain what I needed and he was so thorough to even out the items in order of importance in the chance that the cost was out of budget. I actually decided to get everything done as the total for it all plus several extra things was still 1/4 of the cost provided by the dealer with labor. We were leaving town the next day and Chuck allowed us to leave the car over the weekend and once we picked it up Monday it drove like the day I drove it off the lot new. I am so extremely THANKFUL and APPRECIATIVE.. All car services for my teenagers cars will be done at Sun City No Doubt, they now have a new loyal customer.

I had an opportunity to meet Mike, the owner and I immediately knew 50s guy was going to help me. My 2006 Jaguar had a major suspension issue and I couldn't go more than 5 miles an hour, and had a gas leak and it seems like it was a rolling time bomb. Mike's tenacity to help solve my problem was absolutely fantastic. The service tech, Amir, left dirt streaks all over the exterior where large sections were clearly missed. There were visible liquid trails from cleaning products both inside and outside the car. Some windows weren't cleaned at all, and others looked like they were sprayed with cleaner and rolled up without wiping. The interior barely looked touched. We had to pay out-of-pocket even though this bootleg business had collected the money from CarMax. After my daughter's initial visit, I took my car in for repair. (My daughter's car was temporarily working.) THE WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!! This shop not only TOTALLY DESTROYED my car, but I'm also out of thousands of dollars!!! All of this began in February 2019. We went in because of a spinning sound from the tires. I ended up with a broken broken drive shaft, a hole in my transmission, a hole in my oil pan, a busted shifter and that's just the beginning. We ended up having to go to court. I felt like I had allowed Gomer Pyle and Barney Fife under the hood of my car. Of course we didn't win. It's difficult to prove things with cars. We knew this going in, but we could not sit by and let Jason Shope and his shotty shop get away with destroying another vehicle. We took the car to another shop, but the work done at Shope's Automotive was so shotty, it took this VERY experienced mechanic a while to figure out what could possibly be wrong. The mechanic spoke about how Shope's Automotive forced my car into gear (this should have been a LAST resort), had little to no transmission fluid in the car and how poorly the repair work had been done. I just got my car back today September 7, 2021 by wrecker service. I will give him this. He tried to fix his faulty repairs, but he just doesn't have the skill set. He realizes this so he becomes rude, cruel and obnoxious to cover up for his deficiency. Bottom line...if you never want to see your vehicle in the same or better condition than when you took it in, go to this wannabe mechanic! Others, STEER CLEAR!!! I wouldn't let this Shope's Automotive or Jason Shope perform repair work on my son's Tonka trucks!!!
