An employee brought a hydrometer with light colored coolant in it that showed my coolant would protect to only 30° above 0° and told me with the heat in AZ I should have them change it to protect against overheating. I told them I was not interested. When I got home I dug my hydrometer out and checked it myself it read good to -35° yes that's right it read 35° BELOW zero. I waited for two more days and checked it again and got the same reading. It's a good scam if they can get away with it. My guess is because you stay in your car and they work in a pit you would never know if they actually change it. When they told me they didn't carry blended synthetic oil for my vehicle and that they only had full synthetic I should have left right then. Of course full synthetic is more expensive than blended. I'm sure they tell everyone that. What oil change place doesn't carry blended synthetic for one of the most popular engines on the plant. I'm not 100% sure they didn't put blended in and charged me for full synthetic. I'll never know. I will never go back there. Quick canned reply. I heard about this place on the radio so thought I would check it out. Being a Sunday afternoon, I was very happy that they are open until 5 PM! I don't always have, or make time to get things like this done during the week or on a Saturday. I had just dropped my son off at work down the street and pulled in right before 4 PM. I was greeted immediately with a bottle of water and told it would be just a few minutes. When the car ahead of me was completed, I was directed to pull forward. David welcomed me again and explained the pricing of the various options. He was not at all pushy and treated me with respect. As a woman, that means a lot to me. So many of these places figure we don't understand all this stuff and try to upsell unnecessary things. Each step of the way he explained what was going on and showed me the engine air filter when he pulled it out so that I could see how it looked as well. He then stated that he would check the cabin air filter. In all my years of being a car owner, and getting oil changes, this is the first time I have been aware of that filter being checked, and I told him as much. As it turned out that one was filthy so I had it replaced. Any time he needed to open a door or reach inside the car, he asked permission first, it was so nice! All other fluids were topped off and I chose an additive for the fuel system. I love my car, so I want to take good care of it. A coolant flush was recommended, however, I turned that service down this time around. David, Brayden, and Ethan did a fantastic job taking care of me this afternoon. I will most certainly be back the next time I need an oil change. I will also let all my girlfriends know that this is the place to go for excellent service! read more

An employee added air to my tires & said they're at 36, where they should be. When I started the car the driver's side tires showed up as 36 & the passenger tires said 41.5. The person who added air told me something must be wrong with my sensors. I tested the passenger side tires manually when I got home & they both were at 41.5, just like the car was indicating. Also, the tire sticker inside my door said the psi should be 33, not 36. I believe I was put in an unsafe position by Take 5. I've documented everything incase my tires are damaged. Yesterday I went to get an oil change and I thought I was getting a nice and quick service. I left happy and thought everything went well ....... UNTIL THIS MORNING when over a quart of oil was on my property and my engine guard was off!! I have never had any issues with any oil changes but this was ridiculous!! The engine guard was completely off like how does that happen?? They told me they secured it with zip ties which was okay but that did not work! Isaac was kind enough to come out and see what it was but sadly he informed us wrongly! He said the hose was aftermarket and weathered down which was why it was leaking and the manager said then it's not on them since it's my "aftermarket" piece. I'll show the picture below and you can tell that it is not WEATHERED DOWN nor AFTERMARKET. (It's the shiny hose with no dirt) I had to tow my vehicle from Toltec to Casa Grande because there was basically NO oil left from how much it leaked, I did not want to burn my engine. Even was leaking onto the tow truck bed! (Picture below) When I came in, they said I have a "transmission" leak, which I did not know and they informed me but now I am thinking that that was another lie. The manager also said that it was not oil and it was the " TRANSMISSION " leaking but the oil was BROWN not PINK and everyone knows the significance in the 2 but he said "not all tranny fluid is pink" HMMM WEIRD!! The manager said " We can argue all day " because he did not believe us and told us we just wanted a " Free oil change" Seriously?? After paying $73 even with a $20 discount!!! We took it to OIL DEPOT and they took care of me and I owe them everything for making things right for me! My family has gone to OIL DEPOT for years and I should have continued going but now I know better to never come back! I will never come back to them! They should have taken responsibility but to totally LIE and call us LIARS is not professional! How do you expect to keep loyal customers! read more

"If it seems too good to be true, it probably is." DO NOT RISK IT. Thought I had a great experience, was blown away with the speed. I think it was less than 10 minutes. Woke up this morning w a puddle of fluid under my car. Never again. I wouldn't trust them to fix their mistake either. Staff is extremely young, I'd estimate all under 22. I don't blame the staff. I blame management and the fundamental premise here. In the end, cars are expensive and what people want is proper execution. Shocker: 10 minutes is probably not enough time for a proper oil change. I don't know anything about cars but if it's magically faster than everyone else, the answer is simple: it's because it's done poorly. They also said they would email me a survey (never received). I'm guessing the same level of diligence is applied to email entry as it is to doing a proper oil change. EDIT: I took my car to a mechanic to see what they did wrong. They failed to use a gasket (basically a rubber seal) on the drain plug. They used significantly more oil than necessarily (half a quart). I was going to drive to LA in this car today. I was told by the mechanic had I done so, this could've resulted in permanent damage or potentially failure to the engine. Take 5 (extra hours to take your car to a place where your car won't explode). DO NOT RISK IT. read more

I went to this place for the first time a few months ago. I pulled into the bay , they handed me a cold water , asked me what services I wanted ..which was a synthetic oil change , all filters change , radiator flush , new wipers and they got to work. There were a few techs working on my car at once and they were a well oiled machine. They came to my window to show me and let me exactly what they were about to work on. Got an oil change here yesterday and I left feeling nervous? I really enjoy the "stay in your car" factor. I would get oil changes in Tempe that does a similar thing. Pulled up, one lane was closed other two were full, one of the workers walked out and directed me what lane to pull into. Easy. Get into the garage and the employee takes my demographics. Also easy. They ask what kind of oil I want and I say the synthetic high mileage because I drive a lot living out in Coolidge and always just say "synthetic high mileage" wherever I go. They put in my oil and I also opt in to get a new filter. When they're ringing up my price at one point there were 3 kids at the register, talking very loudly about pricing, "what oil did she ask for" and "you can shadow me next time." Now I understand the location is new and everyone is new at some point in their job. But I suddenly was wondering did they put the right oil in my car? Is my car going to be okay? The sign says $85+ for the oil I requested, am I getting charged higher? They have a $20 off deal going for new customers so my total came out to $70 with the air filter. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about the price and overall everyone was SUPER friendly but just the 3 kids bickering at the register left me completely confused and worried. What else wasn't done right, is my air filter put in correctly? My car is still running so that's a good sign. Just work on the professionalism I guess, I honestly am debating going to the usual place I get oil changes in Tempe just so they can check that everything is okay. I hate this feeling. As far as service they are on point as far as i am concerned. They are up front with what was done and what might need to be done in the near future. They do a fast and detailed oil change and answer all questions. They check all parts of the vehicle to include filters and tires. Service on the car - fine, but the reception was horrible!! When I questioned the cashier about the price, it was $10-20 more than the added up price, less discounts! When I questioned this he and his coworker got extremely combative attitudes and said I was calling them liars, which I wasn't!!! I was merely correcting the errors, from that moment on he became extremely confrontational and was accusing me of this to all the employees around! Not only was the cost prohibitive, the customer service was truly lacking! Will never go back!!! No wonder I was the only customer on a Friday afternoon!! decided to stop in for an oil change. I was then informed my transmission oil was dirty colored and was shown a tube with colored balls and one ball was floating instead of sinking so it was needing a flush. I assume this was recommend because my car is a 2005 with 200,000 miles on the odometer. however, I put in a new transmission 14 months ago and have only put 6,000 miles on the new transmission. so while they staff was very friendly, I won't be back because that was clearly a money grab and a lie. it's very hard to find honest people in the car industry. read more
