Refusing to remove or negotiate dealer added items that are not requested by customers is unacceptable and poor business practice. I didn't know have an appointment but they would squeeze me in. Jeff and I went to my truck, doing a walk around and then he plugged in their device to read my computer. Next, I signed a form to authorize the service and he showed me their waiting area and where the bathrooms were. Very comfortable seating I might add. The setup: I live in Maricopa, I'm paying cash, I notice a car lot in Coolidge that has a car I'd like to purchase. I contact the dealership, where Micaela begins to answer my emails. M: Yes, it's available, here's what we charge, with fees out the door. I Me: Sounds great, I would like to do a test drive between 4:30 and 5:00. Is the car ready to go? M: Yes, the car is ready to go. I will see you then. Spoiler: The car was not ready to go, nor did she see me then. It's an hour drive each way, but I'm careful to email Micaela at the car dealership to let her know I will be there at 5pm. I show up at 5pm at the Coolidge Arizona car sales office...no Micaela. She's gone for the day - and nope, they weren't aware of any appointment. Flag #1 Sierra takes over, and locates the keys - she's new, so we have to find the car. She hands me the keys, and...nothing. The car has zero charge. Thankfully the car is unlocked. Flag #2 This is where I notice the Chrysler car that I was assured was ready to drive off the car lot has not been detailed. Maybe we have a different opinion of "ready" so I press on. Flag #3 Back to the office, they inform me that the car started fine on Friday, where they start up all the cars. This will just a) take a jump, or b) we have another battery. Flag #4 It only requires a jump, and amazingly, I'm still on board. Frustration does start to creep into my voice, but I'm still pretty restrained. We get in to where the car is waiting, and notice the car's navigation display has condensation between the lens and the screen. Flag #5 Now, I think I've been more than patient with this company, and heard nothing but a chorus of "I'm sorry" Not for the drive of an hour, not that the car wasn't ready, not that this is unusual - Just plain old "we don't care" types of sorry you'd expect from a call center representative that's at the end of their day. I'm not saying don't buy new or used automobiles from Garrett Chevrolet in Coolidge AZ. What I am saying, if this is how they treat people who have an appointment, how do they treat people who just happen to find their new and used car lot? Josh and George horrible customer service sold my brother a 2019 Camero that had a tampered vin less than a month he had to get emissions later to find out it was tampered, oil leak , vacuum leak, seats and ambient lights don't work screen shuts off and on. New to the area and looking for a local dealership to service my vehicle. Because I used it in my move (3000 miles towing a U-Haul) and it started to run a little rough I wanted to get it on the computer to see what, if any, was the problem, Walked in to the service department, which was very clean and open. Went to the counter and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally someone (who was very nice) asked if I had been helped and I explained I just wanted to get my vehicle in and run a diagnostic to see what the engine issue was, if any. I asked what the price was for the diagnostic and was told "around" $108.00 for one hour and I needed to call and make an appointment which is not a problem. I really don't have a problem with the price if it tells me what I need to know but it shouldn't take an hour and the "maybe" had me a little worried. I always had my vehicle serviced at the same dealership before the move so had a comfort level even though I paid a little more just for the "dealership" service. End result, drove to a San Tan/Queen Creek dealership, they told me an exact price, threw it on the computer, told me the problem and gave me an exact price to fix it so made an appointment. I am so impressed with this place. I had a cover from my oil pan that was hanging down and dragging, I just figured I needed a few screws and bolts to put it back in place. I walked into Garrett repairs and spoke to a really nice guy who came out and looked at my car, told me it just needed a screw or two and that he would take it in the back and fix it for me. We purchased our Buick In September. I have nothing but good things to say about the buying process it smooth and painless. The service dept is another matter. I received a letter from Buick saying the chip for the parking sensors was available. I called to have our car serviced and have the "CHIP" installed as the car was delivered without it due to the shortage. Someone was to call me back to set up an appointment. 4 days later no call so I called again same thing no call back. My wife was finally able to make an appointment for the next week. We live in Mesa so its not around the block to the dealership. After the oil change my wife was told they could not install the chip as it had to be ordered. Really she had the letter in hand as to the availability of the chip. Then they said they could not rotate the tires as they were unable to locate the wheel lock key even as I explained that it was in back by the spare tire I guess it was to much work to look for it. I will be looking for a dealer closer to home for future service. I will be changing the oil myself as it will be cheaper the 86 mile round trip to Coolidge. read more

Great and honest service. I took my 2005 Chevy Silverado truck in with 233,000 miles. The engine light was on (which my original mechanic could not fix) horn didn't work, and front head light and daylight worked on and off. They fixed it and the bill was only $340. I realize I got lucky, but they could of taken advantage of me and made up something to charge me more. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them. I shopped ALL the GMC dealers in the Phoenix area. I drove an hour from Apache Junction to Coolidge after speaking with Steve Hudson on the phone. The had the best price and service throughout the entire process. I special ordered a 2021 Sierra SLT and took delivery 7 weeks later. ALL the other GMC dealers were a bit goofy with prices. I asked for a reduction of $400 from one dealer and they responded with a new quote that was $1,000 higher! I guess they showed me not to ask to pay a few bucks less. They've been in business over 80 years and have an amazing dedicated staff where many employees have been there over 20 years. I gave Garrett permission to run my credit with their local bank. I had a loan approved with USAA, but they said they could beat it. I gave permission for one specific bank. They ran my credit with 6 banks all over the country besides the local bank. And these were hard hit, not the soft we just want to know your credit score, but the ones that really knock you credit down. We went from an 802 to a 759 nearly overnight. We had to put off buying a house for several months for our credit to come back up. So I called and they can do nothing to fix my credit. They would not even write a letter to the credit companies explaining what they did. but they did try to have my FaceBook account shut down because I reviewed them. Nice! Way to say you're sorry.
