To the owners, The manager who was working Friday, June…read more12th, 2026 around 12pm needs to be fired immediately. Not only was she very unfriendly, did not greet any of the customers but extremely judgmental and unprofessional. Cypress Location - Barker Cypress I come to this restaurant very often to get sushi and brussel sprouts, that day I decided I wanted to try something new, the shrimp steamed dumplings, I personally did not enjoy them and ask my server if he can remove it from the table, then he proceeds to ASK ME if I wanted a discount, and I responded with if possible. I believe he went to go communicate that to her, and she immediately approached my table with aggression and proceed to tell me that she won't be able to do anything about it because I've already ate half of my brussels sprouts. For one I never mentioned anything about not wanting my brussels sprouts or not enjoying them. And second, I wasn't even expecting any sort of discount for the food. I did not enjoy although that is just being a great person in customer service in my opinion. It was the fact that she had tried to find any indicator to create a sort of conflict that was truly unnecessary. I still ended up paying for the dumplings even after I explained to her I just simply did not like the dumplings, I believe if that was going to be the result, regardless, then she didn't have to approach me in such a manner where I felt unwelcome to even come back or in fact at all. I'm a huge fan of the truc roll so I will be back for that however I hope that she is fired and I never have to see her face again in that establishment. Not everyone is built for customer service and it shows.

I've been coming here for a while, and it has become my go-to hibachi spot. After getting tired of…read moreShogun, I decided to try this place instead. I usually get the hibachi chicken, and it is always flavorful, filling, and reasonably priced. The restaurant has a smaller, more intimate atmosphere, which I enjoy. The service is okay, nothing exceptional, but the food and affordable prices keep me coming back.

My fiancé and I came to Tomiko Sushi for happy hour and unfortunately left pretty disappointed,…read moreespecially for the price. Even during happy hour, our bill was over $100 for just the two of us, and I just don't feel like the quality of the sushi justified what we paid. The appetizers were probably the highlight. We ordered the gyoza and crab puffs, and both were really good, but even at happy hour they were still around $9 each. I ordered eight pieces of nigiri, my fiancé had two small sushi rolls, and I had one dirty martini. Somehow, that still put us over $100. The martini was probably the biggest miss for me -- I'd give it a 3/10. I ordered it dirty, but there was barely any olive flavor at all. I actually had to ask for an additional shot of olive juice just to add to it because I couldn't drink it the way it was served. What makes the price harder to justify is that we recently went to an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant where the quality and selection were honestly amazing, and our total for THREE people was only $88. I completely understand paying over $100 for two people at a good sushi restaurant -- there are several non-all-you-can-eat sushi places where my fiancé and I have spent that or more and felt it was absolutely worth it. Unfortunately, Tomiko just wasn't one of them. With so many other sushi options where the quality, selection, and overall value are much better, Tamiko isn't somewhere I would personally recommend or rush back to. The appetizers were good, but overall the experience just wasn't worth the price for us.

What an amazing sushi and hibachi restaurant!…read more Omg! This Japanese restaurant exceeded all my expectations. From service to food and decor, everything was great! First things first, they have plenty of parking. The decor is very cute! Very Japanese and modern, loved it! The food was outstanding! We ordered jalapeño yellowtail and edamame for appetizers and I liked both so much! My roll was Rocky shrimp roll and my daughters roll was Yummy roll, definitely loved both rolls, they were so fresh and tasty! My family ordered filet mignon habachi, chicken habachi and salmon habachi and they all loved it as well. Definitely this is on my 5 top sushi restaurant in Houston, full of flavor, good service and fair prices! I will definitely come back!!

I think it was about $12 bucks My son only like fried rice with egg. $10 I was told for price Instead Ordered a "side" fried rice with egg was $3-$4 (before he got his preferred meal from Pincho) At one point I thought my rice had a slight odor, but I kept eating anyway. But later experience loose stool, could've been the tad undercook shrimp. Not sure. But I'm not rushing back to find out either. The spring rolls were perfect! Definitely would get this again. I'll try this spot again if I'm near and have a taste for it. Even though I order take out, I did eat a few bites before departing on this very raining day. Only one table was occupied. No water was offered to me or my son, which was noticeable to me. I would've offered my paying customers water to go.

Unfortunately, they only have 1 table for 4 people and the others are for 2 persons only. So if that table is not open, your only choice are the stools or waiting. They do have a lunch menu weekly with 4 choices for $12-$13 that come with a 2pc harumaki. As others have indicated, this restaurant is cute and decked out with a lot of small japanese toys, nick nacks, books and claw machines. The good thing is the claw machines are pretty easy to win and actually guaranteed to win with every 10 tries. I won 2 items on 4 tries if that gives you any idea. I ordered a combination of sushi and cooked food on my visit. I tried the Beef Yakiniku Don and the yellowtail with scallion roll. My group also ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea, kids bento box with chicken karrage and a creamy cold noodle ramen. Don - comes with miso soup which is pretty standard. The Don bowl is impressive with a lot of beef and onions all throughout the bowl. The beef is very tender, flavorful and slightly peppery. It wasn't spicy so I asked for something to go on top. The owner came by and gave me some chili oil and togarashi. This dish has pretty good flavor. Cold noodles - this dish is truly cold and a little strange to get used to at first..but the flavor is pretty good. It does come with a slightly spicy paste on the interior side of the bowl if you want to make it spicy. The owner described it as slightly less spicy than wasabi. Kids bento - fried chicken thighs with white rice and snap peas....a fairly healthy meal. Tips for owner/manager - the water is terrible here, wish they had low sodium soy sauce option on the tables, seating is limited, check expiration dates on your sauces and condiments on a regular basis as my chili oil was expired.
