This is a regular dress I found online (stock image included for reference) that I wanted to transform into a maternity dress. She knew I needed the dress for a wedding when I brought it in and said she would have it done for me the week before (giving her a month to complete the work). When I went to pick it up on the day she said it would be done she said she hadn't hemmed it yet and had me wait an hour for it. I packed the dress without looking at it and realized when I got to the wedding the straps were cut and being held together with pins. I had to find a local tailor and pay a rush fee to get it fixed in a few hours. When I called her to tell her what happened she said if I came in with pictures she would refund me $20. Giving how much I paid to get them fixed in a rush this felt like such a slap in the face.

The bodice does not fit, and the skirt is not pleated, nor does it fall properly over the underskirt. Instead of restoring my grandmother's dress, Slubia left me with something I cannot wear on one of the most important days of my life. I don't know if the issue was lack of time, lack of skill, or lack of care, but the result is the same: I am left without my grandmother's dress two weeks before my wedding day.
