My experience was horrible! I brought my dress in to be altered for my daughter's wedding..I was told to come back in 2 weeks to pick up my dress...I go pick up my dress and there's a sign in the door that says they are vacation!!! I wouldn't be able to get my dress until a day before my daughter's wedding and the wedding is in Denver Co! I finally got my dress and the alterations were not completed!! The dress was too big, too long and the top was never taken in and my chest was wide open! Ruined pics ! They were rude and dismissive... would not reccomend! read more

I had a dress that needed to be fixed in a 1 day time frame for a wedding. Not only did she repair it but, she pressed the bottom of my dress that was messed up and steamed the whole dress too. She was very reasonably priced. I will be coming back. read more

I saw so many great reviews of this place . When I went there to do the alterations I thought she was wonderful and an amazing price . However , she called me the day before I was supposed to pick the dress to tell me how dirty the dress was. It was not dirty at all and I have pictures to prove it wasn't . She told me I have to take it to the dry cleaners it's so dirty . I went to pick my dress up and saw how dirty the mats were on the floor and realized that was the cause . i tried the dress on and was examining my self in the mirror, and the woman comes over and unzips my dress in front of everyone and said ok take it off now your done, rushing me out. Very rude and unprofessional. I also found out filomena is no longer there , which is who everyone is recommending. Leonor is the best! Anything you need done that can be done with a needle and thread, she can do it. Prom dresses, communions, suits, if you wear it, Leonor will make it look better on you. One star because to write a review you have to give a star. This was the most horrible experience. What a let down and insulting to top it off. I stopped at the shop to inquire about alterations.Filomena was very nice, she said come back tomorrow with the dress. I returned with the dress. Unfortunately Filomena was not in and I had to deal with Grace -WHO CLEARLY DOES NOT KNOW THE MEANING OF HER NAME! She was unprofessional, grumpy, impatient and to top it all extremely petty, even mean. She obviously was not eager to alter my dress. I left in tears, fortunately I did not leave my dress for Grace to make a mess. read more

Brought my dress in to be altered back in May for my sons June wedding. Spoke to Filomena who seemed to know what to do. The dress was very big but she reassured me that it could be altered. She then passed me over to another woman who's name is Grace. She started pinning me and another women came over & chalked the bottom to be hemmed. They called me to come in for a fitting. The hem came out perfect but the dress was still too big so once again they pinned areas that needed to be corrected, again reassuring me that anything could be fixed. 2 weeks before my sons wedding they call & say that the dress is ready to be picked up. I was so excited! I go in with my friend and try it on & come out of the dressing room crying. It was a Saturday afternoon both Filomena and Grace were not there. The Asian women that did my hem was. She was trying to calm me down. My friend is asking the women while trying to adjust my crooked dress, "WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS DRESS?" The whole top of the dress was out of alignment with the bottom. She took in the breast part right on the side of the dress which was so visible and would be seen in pictures. The waist part was so crooked. It was horrible! The women says come back on Monday & Filomena can fix it. That would be 12 days before my sons wedding! I left there crying and my friend drove me to the Mall and luckily I found a dress in Macys that fit perfect & was able to wear! I never went back to that place. Not only was I out $80. that I had left so far toward the $175 alteration charge but also the $200 that I paid for the dress that she kept, because I never went back. She had the nerve to call me in July & told me my dress was ready for pick up. She had no idea of who I was and what went on! When I explained to her what had happened she said to me "oh so you're not gonna pick up the dress" I said the wedding was last month you ruined my dress. She never offered to give the dress back to me or to give me some of the alteration fee back. No apology! She was so cold! If you go into her place she has a rack of dresses that she sells probably from customers like me that have had issues and never went back to pick up their dresses. shsells them instead of donating them & probably charges again to alter them. RUN don't walk away from Fiomena's, she is a rip off and thief. I brought an evening dress to be hemmed and a pair of jeans as well. She wrote up a ticket that said eighty dollars, she pointed to the dress and said forty dollar and pointed to the jeans and said forty dollars, I was shocked but in a rush so I said ok. Later that day I called and requested she hem the dress only, I would go elsewhere for the jeans. I couldn't see spending forty dollars for a twenty five dollar pair of jeans. When I came to pick up the dress, she said sixty dollars, I reminded her that she said forty, no she said it is sixty dollars. I paid sixty dollars to hem a forty five dollar dress from MACY'S!!!!!!!!! read more

I have been going to Filomena's for the past 14 years for alterations. A friend first recommended her to me when my daughter needed a silk formal altered and I have been a fan ever since. Recently I purchased a heavy wool coat and the sleeves needed altering and you could never tell the sleeves were shortened, The prices are reasonable and the work is excellent. worst place in the history of places! not only did they mess my dress up and create a run in the material they bunched all of it up where my slit was created and this is a destination wedding bridesmaid dress. the lady in there is extremely rude and thought my problem was funny and said she wasnt calling her boss to take care of it andddd charged me 100 dollars and told me if i didnt pay that she was calling the police! never go here for anything!!! read more
