I absolutely ADORE the entire Tailored in White Team, but ESPECIALLY Herschel! I had lost a bit of weight since I had bought my dress, so when I initially brought my dress to TIW in January, they already had bit of work to do to take it in. Little did I know that between January and May (my wedding), I would continue to lose weight to the point where I dropped down two sizes! While losing weight on accident was a delight for me, I knew it was a nightmare for Herschel and the team! Every couple of weeks I would come in and they would tell me we needed to take in the dress more. I knew it was delaying their ability to make progress in other areas of the dress, but even still Herschel was always SO patient and attentive. He shouldered all of the stress so I didn't have to. In the end, my dress fit like a glove! With all of the millions of other things a bride has to worry about, my dress was never one of them. The passion and pride the team takes in their work is what put my nerves at ease right away. It was bitter sweet the day I picked up my dress to take home. By the end of my time with TIW, I would look forward to my appointments not only because I would get to see my dress, but because I'd get to hang out with Herschel! GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!! They need to hire people that know what they are doing for starters. We brought them a gorgeous, brand new wedding dress that we paid $2000 for, and over the course of at least 6 visits and then an AT MY HOME visit (because they allowed me to take home a dress that was nowhere near wearable!!! ) THEY DESTROYED IT ! Seams left open, horsehair pulled out of hem, not sewn back in correctly, hem totally messed up ...too long in some places, sleeves were supposed to be snapped in so my daughter could remove them at reception and one was sewn to her dress!! We had to find a scissor and cut it off of her!!! It had water stains on the bottom, straight pins and safety pins left on the dress when we went to pick it up to take home. Should have been ready to walk in and take home. Instead we waited over 40 minutes for them to fix hem and iron it ( you will see in pics that hem was NOT FIXED and the ironing never really happened either ) We do not live close by, and drove 2 hours there and 2 hours back every time we had an appointment .... It took them 7 tries and they still couldn't get it right !!! TIW came highly recommended by Legacy Bridal (where we bought the dress. ) and for some strange reason , we trusted their professional opinion, only for TIW to destroy my daughter's gorgeous dress !!! So heartbreaking to see how upset my daughter was, knowing they DESTROYED her DREAM WEDDING DRESS !! After all that, They offered to pay me $29 for the snaps!!! Seriously?! I want to start by saying that the staff were very kind and I genuinely enjoyed going to my appointments. They were welcoming and pleasant each time I visited. The hem of my dress was also done well. Unfortunately, the issues with my dress on my wedding day were extremely disappointing, which is why I am leaving a 1-star review. First, I had the straps of my dress altered to be thicker. At my final appointment a week before my wedding, everything appeared fine. My dress stayed in its garment bag and on the hanger until the day of my wedding. When I took it out that morning, I immediately noticed that one of the straps was already ripping. As the day went on, the tear continued to worsen and nearly ripped completely apart during my wedding. Second, the bustle failed. When my bridesmaids were bustling the dress, two of the three bustle strings ripped immediately. Because of this, I had to carry my dress for the rest of the night. We had planned and practiced a dance routine that we could not do well because I had to hold my dress the entire time. Since the dress dragged on the ground all night, it is now in such rough condition that it likely cannot be properly cleaned. Lastly, I purchased adhesive bra inserts at my second-to-last appointment. After getting home and looking up the sizing, I realized I had been given the wrong size. The store did not have the correct size in stock and arranged to have another pair shipped from out of state. I received them the day before my wedding, but they were a completely different style from what I originally purchased. If I had been informed they would be different, I would have simply purchased the correct ones directly from the brand myself. Really upset I just trusted the place I bought my dress (Legacy Bridal) from and didn't do my research on this place. Only reason I'm giving it two stars is most of the staff is nice and the place itself is cute. An excessive amount of appointments, they literally rip every single piece of your dress apart in front of you, they're always late, and they're completely overpriced. Which... all would be fine if the dress turned out perfect and they gave a good experience. For my final pickup (which should be a fun magical time trying on the completed dress) ended up turning into a 4 hour nightmare of half the stuff not even being done, and the fixes they made that day (like the buttons breaking) fell off right in front of me. Oh, but don't worry, their advice is to bring a needle and thread to your wedding day since apparently that's just so normal after paying $1500 in alterations that buttons should totally fall off that they took off and put back on. read more

I had my wedding dress altered here over several months and multiple fittings. Unfortunately, the alterations required repeated corrections and did not meet professional standards. I ultimately had to take the dress to another tailor to fix the issues. Communication regarding reimbursement was not responded to, so I had to escalate through my credit card company. I want to firstly say, I loved my dress and Eric was so helpful. However, the stitching on my layers were terrible. The ends came apart 30 minutes after wearing my dress. Mind you, I put on my dress, did a first look 100 ft away, and returned back to the bridal room. I had to cut the excess threading prior to walking down the aisle as it was becoming tangled and catching on my shoes. The tailor was texting the seamstress asking questions about alteration possibilities the entire time. I would've preferred for the seamstress to just be there. They suggested outlandish changes that would ruin the integrity of the dress and the overall look, plus they were charging an absolutely absurd price for all these unnecessary changes. Wish there were negative stars. Grace Loves Lace recommended them bc their old manager, Danielle, worked there. I met w lovely Danielle in March. She had me send pictures of the dress/alterations & said she'd update my file w notes so she could start right away when it got delivered. We had email correspondences for months. I made an appointment as soon as it was delivered but upon arrival no one recognized, had my file/pics, or knew anything about my dress. I kept referencing Danielle & was not told she left this shop until after they had pinned & taken my dress back. The grand total was $1300, not including bustle (+$350-400). I was shocked, but felt pressured so I paid. Figured if I was investing that, the dress would be amazing. I had 5 appointments w TiW that got progressively worse, leaving me in tears every time. Each appt started a minimum of 20 min late. I was constantly told tailors were juggling appts & sewing. Frankly, I don't know what there is to "juggle." Those 2 tasks are literally the only jobs of a tailor, & it is TiW's responsibility to hire tailors who are equipped. I always heard brides all very disappointed w alterations, but I invested so much I stayed. At each appointment, my tailor said they were losing a lot of tailors/firing bc they botched dresses/lied about qualifications. No alterations were made to my dress & the attempts botched my dress. It remained ripped open on the sides & wasn't sewn together until my last appt - revealing they only sewed the exterior layer. The inside lining was still ripped open, hanging, & dragging visbly lower than my gown. My hem, bra cups, cap sleeves, & lace on the back were never done. I vocalized wanting the cap sleeves to be made from the extra material of my dress after hemming. Multiple appts I was presented w 2 fabrics & told to pick 1 so the tailor could make my sleeves. I repeatedly stated that I wanted the sleeves made from my hem, but the tailor forgot every time. That tailor also told me the policy is to never turn away a bride. Which sounds appealing, but is a horrible design when they're so busy they can't sew the dress of another bride. I asked if we could do a strap lift instead of adding lace to the front of my dress bc we were severely running out of time. I paid $80 was was told I'd get a $150 refund for nixing the lace. The refund wasn't initiated that day bc the "system was down." I was promised it would get taken care of the following week. When time came, "system was down" again but I was told the owner would Zelle me and text me to confirm I received it by days end. Neither of these things happened. The following week, I had to demand the refund and state I wasn't leaving until it was issued. That appt they also said my sleeve take up was completed. My new seamstress has informed me the right sleeve was take up an entire inch more than the left - she was shocked they thought this was a job well done. The also took in the top SO much I couldn't take a deep breath. I never wanted them to touch the skirt bc it fit pefectly. However without my consent, they hiked the skirt up 4 inches instead of hemming and took it in but only on 1 side. It was so tight on my waist it was digging in, but then the shapely fabric that was supposed to be on my hips was flaring out near the bottom of my waist. The tailor said he thougt the abomination of a dress looked great and claimed they never touched the skirt. I pushed. He ripped open the dress as I was wearing it which revealed all of the previous botched alterations. He said the seamstress working on my dress was fired bc she couldn't sew. Instead of taking accountability and offering to fix this, they said I would need to pay $475 more. Mind you, we are now 2 weeks out from my wedding and no alterations have been done. I went on Reddit and found a sea of bad reviews that TiW had taken down from Google. I pulled my dress from TiW while there was still time to salvage it. Even though TiW said they would do anything to rectify this, they never issued the refund I asked for. RUN. I pray another bride never has to go through this. read more

Tailored in White ruined my wedding dress by leaving large pulls all across the dress. There were at least 10+ very visible snags that were several inches long. They tried to brush it off, insisting that it's a very delicate material, but this is a specialty wedding dress tailor that should be used to handling delicate materials. We went back to the store where I bought the dress and they showed us the sample dress that has been used in the showroom for over 3 years and there was not a single pull. Very disappointed because this kind of damage was not something we could even attempt to fix at another tailor, I just had to live with it on my wedding day. TIW truly does stand by their guarantee to make your dress meet your expectations. I feel like what helped me is Cora & Dynell explaining why certain things needed to happen to my dress and how they were going to fix my concerns along the way. I had never been to a seamstress that has you come in so regularly and those conversations helped talk me off the ledge cause it is stressful to be a bride during the planning process! I feel those 2 truly made my time there an awesome experience. Also, a huge shoutout to Maryam as she put a lot of work into fixing my zipper the week of my wedding (the original design of the zipper was a pain in the butt - no pun intended - the whole time I was getting my dress altered). I will say there are expectations of being at a TIW such as: 1. Expect a high cost toward your alterations and know your initial quote does not include your bustle, a day of kit for your dress (optional purchase), or addition of weights to your dress to smooth out the seams. 2. Expect to come in every 1-2 weeks for 30 min-1 hour 3. If you're getting your alterations done during wedding season, expect most of your alterations to be done closer to your wedding date. I originally went to Tailored in White after a friend of mine used them and loved them. My first appointment was an easy fix - just two wrinkles on either side of the dress due to where the slip was sewn to the inside of the dress. After taking a look, they mentioned putting weights on the bottom of the dress since the seam was too close. I said sounds great! I asked them what else they would recommend as I hadn't had alterations before. They said adding cups would be a good idea to make the straps less tight. I agreed and we added that to the list. When I came back in when it was ready, the cups had been sewn lightly on and the seams hadn't been adjusted at all. When I mentioned the seams to the tailors... it was strange. They had the exact same conversation with me as we had at my first appointment. "Weird, it looks like this is where the seam is sewn on the inside... we'll see what we can do." I thought, "huh??" but was glad they were going to work on it ASAP. They worked on it and adjusted the cups like I asked since they were showing in certain areas. We tried the adjustments a few times (which was fine), and they ended up deciding to just remove the seam entirely and told me I would probably need to pull it down on the day-of. Not a huge deal... except I wasn't happy when I got my photos back. The cups are showing in multiple photos and the slip on the inside is bunched up a lot and it was SO difficult to pull down. While I was in love with the dress, I wish I would've kept the seams as-is and had my mother sew in cups that didn't move. It only cost about $200, but I would've rather spent that money on groceries tbh. read more

I cannot warn anyone enough to stay away from Tailored In White. I am writing this review for nothing more than to hope this message gets to brides so no one has to have the experience I had. I have never been more stressed out in my life because of this company, and what they are doing to brides is absolutely astonishing. They truly made my wedding week a nightmare and were the only bad aspect of my wedding (thankfully once another tailor came in and saved the day all was good). TIW came highly recommended from my planner. From the get go in August my experience was weird but I tried "trusting their process". Every time I would go it was clear there was a lack of communication between the seamstresses, there were multiple times I'd go to my appointment and nothing would have been done from the time prior. They started posting on instagram about "bridezillas" and no longer accepting brides that had a difference of opinion with them. It was about this time my gut started telling me something wasn't right. The rooms were a nightmare, glitter and needles everywhere, and they would randomly ask me for money when I had already paid. For example, I prepaid 800 for custom sleeves (jokes on me because I couldn't even end up wearing them since their work was awful). Yet on 2 separate occasions after the fact they asked me to pay 800 dollars again for the sleeves and I had to remind them twice I had already paid. All of this came to a head the final 2 weeks before my wedding. I went for my final fitting and my dress was supposed to be done (brought my mom, brought them cookies). Dress was nowhere near complete (10 days out from wedding), they said it was a 'miscommunication' but most concerning was some of the craftsmanship on the dress was starting to take a turn for the worse. Extremely sloppy lines, rippling, unevenness, and when you'd point it out they would get very defensive. They said they would fix it, so I booked another appointment to pick it up the Monday of wedding week. I also texted them morning of to confirm it would be done, which they said yes it would be, only to arrive and their manager verbatim say "we lied sorry it's not done". Sadly it was even worse than the week before. The attached pictures show how terrible the work on the dress was. They lost the original buttons from the dress (the dress only had 3 buttons...they added 7 buttons that were uneven and didn't match in color whatsoever. The sleeves and entire dress was dirty. The back zipper was terrible and you can see the awful cut lines in the back and on the sides. All of the seams down the side are uneven. Overall the dress fit terribly - rippling everywhere, baggy in places it shouldn't be. This was after about 1200 invested and again, 8 visits. After I told them I needed to take the dress and find a new tailor, they begged for me to have them fix it (why would I trust anyone to fix the dress when they couldn't even begin to see how much they had messed it up?). They said their owner was in the back and would do whatever it took to fix it, yet apparently coming out and saying that to my face was too much? They even tried to tell me their process wasn't a fit for everyone. They wouldn't even let me LEAVE THE STORE without signing off on some contract (while I was in tears). TIW - this has nothing to do with your process. I didn't mind coming 8+ times because I put my trust in you and expected excellence. Yet what I got was seamstress work that looks like it was done by a 10-year old. I took it to a new tailor who truly saved the day and she confirmed how terrible the work they did was, and said she's had many other brides coming to her to fix their dresses after being butchered by TIW. Clearly something happened at this business, it's very apparent they lost their main seamstress and are trying to play it off like all is well. Take this as a warning - all is not well. I don't know how you all go to sleep at night knowing you are scamming people and it's a true shame I fell into this trap. I'm sure TIW will respond and say this is my attempt to get a refund on the tailoring work (which I have yet to ask for), or that their process isn't for everyone or that I'm just a bridezilla like they've called other brides. On the recommendation of Brenda at Bella Lily Bridal, where I purchased my wedding dress, I decided to book with Tailored in White for alterations. At the first appointment, they were completely transparent on what the cost of the alterations would be based on the items I wanted to change or add to the dress. I had 5-6 appointments in the couple months leading up to the wedding and I have to say these women are some of the hardest working people I have ever met. I am pretty sure they do not sleep at all during the months of September to November due to the high volume of dresses they are tailoring. Cora and her team did an incredible job altering my dress and making sure it looked absolutely perfect for the big day. Even when I thought it looked perfect and there wasn't anything else that needed to be altered, they would find something that needed tweaking to make it even more flawless. Cora and her team do not let any dress leave their hands until they are 100% happy with the work they have done, which is an approach in business you find few and far between these days. They were so flexible with scheduling and even performed some last minute alterations with my dress on at the final fitting. I had such a great experience at Tailored in White, that sometimes I wish I could just go back and hang out with everyone because it was so much fun. Unfortunately, I chose to ignore the negative reviews and it was the worst mistake I made. My wedding was April 7th, I took my dress in January 10th and didn't take it home until April 3rd. 4 days BEFORE my wedding. I paid over $1500 for alterations that weren't even completed and my dress still didn't fit how it was suppose to. The nightmare started on March 16th, it was the last day for alterations as I was suppose to pick up my dress March 28th. The corset part was still falling down so they suggested I add boning as the corset the dress originally had, was "for show," basically not "strong" enough to hold the dress up. I paid for the boning and on March 28th, the pick up day, none of the boning was even installed (even though that was paid for). All they had to do was install boning on the sides to make it hold up, as they said this was the fix to keep the dress from falling. Instead, they took the dress in and made it tighter where it was uncomfortable and extremely unflattering. They said they would add the boning and let it out to make it loose. I returned March 30th and the boning still wasn't placed! If a customer pays for something and the company takes the money but doesn't do it, wouldn't that be considered FRAUD? This makes me think back of all the things I paid for that weren't even done. I had to return April 3rd for the final try on and finally take my dress home but it STILL wasn't altered correctly. I arrived at 1:30PM and left at 6:30PM. They needed to fix the zipper they messed up and add last minute straps as my dress was still falling. I told them I had an appt across town and needed to be done by 4PM. They didn't text or call me so I had to walk in at 3:50PM and wasn't taken back until 4:30PM. Very inconsiderate of my time and made me re-schedule my appt. After trying it on, it was still tight so they had to take it back and let it out. It got to the point where I was so stressed, I just took the dress home as it was. I ended up going to a seamstress for an emergency alteration and even she said she's heard HORROR STORIES from Tailored in White. The only good I can think of is that their staff is nice. Other than that, this was the worst experience I've ever had and the ONLY stress I experienced during the whole wedding process. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience at Tailored In White Scottsdale location. They make you pay in advance so you are held hostage throughout their alteration "process". They string you along with 10+ appts where nothing is sewn and then one week before the wedding everyone is freaking out causing extreme anxiety on the bride. You never see the same person so there are multiple people touching and sewing your dress with no consistency. They had the dress for 6 months and managed to disassemble it then could not put it back together. When I voiced my concern they asked me not to come back with my daughter. Apparently, they have dismissed other relatives as well when they are questioned as they do not want their customers hearing complaints. The work is sub-standard (lining not laying properly, bustle pins falling off, lines not sewn straight...). They took in each side of the dress bodice; right side was too tight and not laying properly; they had no solution whatsoever and told my daughter it was because she was right handed and lost weight! They did not even have the breast cups sewn in 6 days before the wedding. It is the blame game. Manager shifts blame on everyone with NO solutions offered. We finally had to leave 6 days before the wedding with an unfinished and PAID for dress and take it to a competent seamstress so it was ready for her wedding day. My daughter is in the wedding invitation business and posted her experience on her Instagram page to warn other brides. So many brides, wedding planners and even the bridal salon reached out to her saying they had horrible experiences and would never refer them again. The bridal salon apparently removed them from their referral list months ago because there were so many complaints. Had we only known... They did the alterations on my wedding dress. The process was 6-7 fittings and at each on they make progress. Overall the experience was very easy and nice. The dress was taken in, shortened and I had a bustle added. All went well with the process for me and the dress was on time. However, there was an issue on my wedding day. The bustle would not button in two areas, making the bustle non functioning. They have since refunded me for that portion of my payment. Although the alterations didn't end up perfect, I think they have a good service and they have made things right with me. read more

The entire process was pretty turbulent and ultimately came to a crash ending. Although Alix was very nice and worked very hard on my dress and the final product did look good in my photos, I would absolutely not recommend this business to anyone. My dress was in 3 pieces about a week before the wedding which as you can imagine was thoroughly stressful as it would be for any bride. I spent a lot of time and money there as you can imagine. There were changes in staff throughout and everything seemed pretty disorganized. I continued to give them the benefit of the doubt and stay positive and friendly throughout and try and see the best in them. The even bigger issue came in after my wedding. I took my dress in to get preserved, which they used an external company. It came back in looking unprofessional, twisted, wrinkled, etc. They sent it back to the company to redo and they ignored the questions I asked and ultimately they still could not manage to put the dress into the acrylic box in a professional looking way. The staff I spoke with at Tailored in White on September 18 was in complete agreement and it was discussed that I would come pick my dress and veil back up and be refunded for the preservation. I was told on the phone on September 18 that the refund would be easier once I come in to get my dress and bring the credit card in physically. After many ignored communication attempts, I finally brought my card into the store in November when picking up my unpreserved dress and was told then that they didn't need the card. So I actually should have received this refund in September since they didn't need the physical card so they were stalling my refund. I was told that day in the store to my face that they would have the manager process the refund first thing when she got there that same day and send me confirmation. As I never received this confirmation, I followed up the next day and the next day and the next day (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday). Finally on Sunday, they send a response that they aren't open that day and have escalated it to be completed first thing Monday. Monday morning goes by and still no contact. I reached out for the last time and still received no response. Therefore I was left with no choice but to dispute via my credit card company and report the business to Shop Pay. Between calling, texting, and even going into the business, my refund still was not processed by them for the service that was not provided and it's like they were hoping I'd just forget and give up and they would get to keep the $650. Very convenient how they had no major issues with communication and responsiveness during the tumultuous wedding dress tailoring process when they were being paid by me (approximately $1500 or more) and then when they owe me a refund (of $650), they all of a sudden no longer can respond to any outreach, lied to me when I went into the store about processing it that day, and have done nothing but avoid processing a refund. Do not use this business for any services unless you want to be continually stressed, lied to, and beyond frustrated. read more

The actual work was great, but everything else was horrible. I originally was at the Glendale location about ten minutes from my house. They gave me only a week's notice that they were closing down the Glendale location and their closet location was now 40 minutes from my house. And I when I was a little upset, I was told I was the only bride who had an issue with the location change. The day of my final fitting/pick up I took a day off of work (I have to because it's so far) to go get my dress, and I was already in the area (about an hour prior), and I got a call saying they wouldn't have my dress done. So I took the next day off of work as well because they said they'd have it done by then, and I waited over 20 minutes for it to be ready. I was given an e kit for free for my troubles. But the thousand+ dollars spent on the tailoring, the gas, my time, and the time I took off of work to get to the fittings is worth more than a free e kit. read more

Tailored In White worked on my sisters dress for her wedding. Since I was the Maid of Honor, and our family resides in New York, I was there for every step of the way. Cora runs a fabulous business. From Day 1 she was welcoming, professional, and friendly. We looked forward to each and every appointment. My sister purchased a lace BHLDN wedding gown, it fit her OK but to our imagination just had to be tucked a bit. To our "surprise" Cora and her team transformed this dress in the best of way. It fit to my sisters body like a glove and was absolutely stunning. Cora and her team did everything on time, and each appointment she played close attention to detail to make sure everything was moving in the right perfection. We did not have a worry in the world. When it came to the bustle they did an amazing job, when it came to me learning it they did an even better job (lol). This was my first time even learning what the bustle was and took me for what likely felt like forever to learn how - Cora and her team were incredibly patient with me and took me through it step by step with no rush. To go through wedding planning while your family is on the other side of the country can have a bride feeling a little down, and to have someone like Cora around for the process makes it a little better. So I really was torn in doing this review but I wanted to warn other brides and would feel bad not doing so. I just want to start by saying all the employees were so sweet. I truly feel like they mean well but this business model is awful which does not seem to help the employees. I first started with dropping off my dress in January and paying in full. These alterations cost more than my dress. But I felt confident as they had seemed to know what they were doing and this was considered a high end alteration shop in Scottsdale. I had probably 10 - 12 appts and maybe 3/4 of those appointment things were actually done to the dress. Multiple times I would go in and the dress was the exact same as 5 weeks prior. I couldn't even count the amount of times they asked me the same questions for what I wanted even though I had to"signed off" on them multiple times. Example being, I was asked multiple times if i wanted my custom sleeves attached or detachable....from January when I dropped it off to begging of Oct (two weeks before my wedding) I did not actually meet my seamstress until 2 weeks before my wedding. The employees who help you and discuss what you want are not the ones that actually work on the dress. And when they are overworked, its easy to forget which bride wants what. Especially not seeing the same person every time. Each appt someone else helped me. And it was like having to fill each person in every time. I truly think they add all these 'fluff' appts on to justify charging more money. My custom sleeves were gorgeous however I do feel the job was a little out of their league. I should have had a bigger base added on as the weight of the sleeves pulled all day long on the day of my wedding. Night before my final appt (pickup appt) I was told 9:45 they hadn't finished it yet - and when I went in they not only told me they had 20 brides to finish over the weekend but that I needed two more appts before my wedding day no exceptions so they could add more fabric. This was on 09/30 and I was leaving to NY for my wedding on the 10th. My very final appt the sleeves were still slipping on my shoulders and they had to adjust them 4 times and I was there for 3 hours. They originally wanted me to come back for an additional appt but living an hour away I told them I needed it that night. I have other things to do the week before I leave, then to keep coming back to adjust a slipping sleeve. I ended up having to buy body glue (which they also recommended as they could see it was not staying up) - I ended up adjusting it all wedding day.. having to pull the sleeves to their normal spot as the body glue could only do so much. Overall this place is a messy business model, overpriced and understaffed. I truly think 4-5 appts with one person would've resulted in a better designed/quality of dress. I had such anxiety until I received the dress back and then for it to not be 100% was disappointing. I do not wish to be contacted in regards to this review either please. I'm not one to write reviews but needed to warn brides about this hideous place that pretends to be a high class wedding dress alterations shop. I'm the mother of a bride and attended all appointments with my daughter except for 1. First appointment, no problem. Paid IN FULL and expected all future appointments to run smoothly. By the 3rd 4th and 5th appointments, we were becoming concerned. Things were not being completed and the work that was completed for each appointment was looking rushed and unprofessional. 1 month before wedding was the final straw. The hem in the dress looked as though a 4 year old had done it. The boning on one side of the bust was coming out through a hole, there were 2 stains on the dress near the bust and the skirt overlay for the after party was an absolute disaster. Lastly, to make the long sleeves tighter on the dress, the put zippers in ... all the way to the elbow. Instead of taking it in or adding delicate buttons, the put 8 inch long zippers!!!!!! 10 days before the wedding, I had to go get the dress and take it elsewhere. I get no money back and they ruined my daughter's dress and had horrible attitudes about it the entire time. They acted bothered by our concerns and acted as if they were somehow doing us a favor. PLEASE... go far from this place. It is no overstatement to say that Tailored In White made all my wedding dreams come true. They took my wedding gown and absolutely transformed it to something perfectly fit to me and exactly listened to and saw my vision. I was nervous bringing a Marchesa gown anywhere in Scottsdale bc I couldn't find anywhere that worked with such high quality, until I found TIW. Every detail, including the bustle, was looked after. Additionally, I had a jumpsuit for a Friday evening event around my wedding that TIW made absolutely molded to me. I got married in chicago and the manager of the wardrobe dept for the show Chicago PD asked me where my outfit was from bc she wanted it for a future ep (spoiler alert?? Idk?). I had a wonderful experience with TIW from start to finish!! I loved their process of altering one part of the dress at a time. Not only did it ensure that every detail was absolutely perfect but it gave me an opportunity to try my dress on many more times than you typically would which was just fun in itself! It's a time commitment but completely worth it. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome! The icing on the cake was a custom scrunchie made out of my dress scraps! Words cannot describe how happy I am with the end result of my wedding dress. I got engaged mid January 2023 with a May 13th, 2023 wedding, so my husband and I had a very short engagement. As soon as we got engaged, I went dress shopping right away. I was in need of a fully modest dress with sleeves- but with our short time frame- it is nearly impossible to find something like what I wanted. So I had to find a dress that could be built up with sleeves and a fully covered front and back. After finding the dress I wanted, I made an appt right away with Tailored in White. I told them what I wanted and they told me it could be done. I needed to add sleeves, no see through, fully covered front and back. Essentially, I needed a full build up. The only bump in the road was the fabric I ordered for the build up, came right from the designer themself which took about 2 months to come in, delaying the project with Tailored in White. But let me tell you- that didn't stop the amazing team I worked with to get it done! I started out meeting with Hershel who was sweet and making me feel comfortable with each appointment. He made sure every need was met and clarified as we went. He helped with every mock up before the actual fabric came. I so enjoyed working with Hershel!! Later in the process Ken came in and really transformed my dress into what it was when I took it home. There are really no words to describe his work. Ken KNOWS his stuff and knows what to do. As soon as the fabric came in- Ken got to work. He even let us come in during closed hours and days to get the job done. He made sure everything was perfect- from the hems, to the sleeves, to the lace- it was all perfect! He truly takes his work seriously. Ken also never made me feel uncomfortable or made me feel bad when asking to change something here or there. Very professional!! Lastly- I cannot forget about Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn came in not too long after Ken and also helped with making sure everything was in order and done properly. She was so nice and professional with each appointment. She made sure I was heard and made changes if needed without making me feel uncomfortable. Her and Ken communicated nicely so if one of them weren't there, things were done properly. All 3, Hershel, Ken and Kaitlyn were so patient, professional and hardworking with each appointment. I could not have asked for a better team to turn the dress I came in with to something that became my dream wedding dress! I'm still in awe seeing the before and after pictures!!
