Food and services are still excellent. I Move out of state and hadn't been here in over 8 years. I'm glad food and services didn't change

Good food, excellent service, great drinks. What more would you want? Nice and friendly place to watch any sports on their many monitors wherever you are seated. Ari, the owner, made it a point to say hello, and make certain all was good. Pizza was excellent. I will be back. read more

Our first visit. Heard the commercial while driving and figured we would stop for dinner. My burger was cooked perfectly. My husband enjoyed the ribs. Both had the jack Daniels sauce that really was tasty. They were busy but the service was excellent and our food came out quickly while we enjoyed our beers. They have a large selection of craft beers. Will come by again for the the all you can crab legs Monday ! read more

Live down the road a bit in Absecon and you really need a designated driver to travel through Galloway Township on Rt, 30. Wife not in the mood to do any tastings so I thought what great night to try, Sunday night and I don't think there much sports on that day so not a big crowd. Got seated right away in a booth by the bar. Had not realized that they have small dining room in the back, but booth OK with lots of TV's on different sports, A little delay in service do to some back of the house mix up. Candid waitress came up and said a lot of calls being taken. Cell phones and restaurant staff are a real problem anymore. Not too long of a wait and beer was cold so I'm good. Designated driver is committed so she only had water. In a munchies mood so ordered fried wings which came with 8 very small wings, Certainly cooked well but the smallest wings I've experienced in a very long time. Not nearly worth the money paid. Wife got Santa Fe Chicken Salad, Really good, great presentation in eatable bowl and enough she could share with me. Really rounded out the wings for nice bar food. Met some friends who are regulars there and they were having Chicken Cheese steak subs. Looked good so will go with the sandwiches next time. Had reviewed Tailgaters along time ago. Still a local area popular bar/restaurant, Not a dive bar. I've seen overflow parking during high sports play weekends read more

We called for reservations and they told us it was first come first serve. When we got there they told us it was reservations only and there was alot of open tables. This was all thw same say in one hour. This was for inside and outside. Get it together. read more

Stopped in for lunch before heading to golf and as per usual, Zero disappointment.. ordered a Cowboy Chicken Wrap, a few Cape May Devils Reach and like always it was awesome. Ari and his staff never disappointment. read more

Great wings, had the Buffalo and blue cheese wings. Atmosphere is great, staff is good. Would suggest if you are in the area and looking for good wings. read more

Upon arrival we saw that there was just one waitress working so we knew the service might have been a little slower if they got busy which we didn't think was going to be an issue. I asked to see a whisky menu which they did not have but they listed off a few and I settled with basil Haden thinking it was a decent cheap bourbon and should be priced as such. We ordered a burger, a pizza, and wings all at the same time. The wings and burger came out a solid 20 minutes before the pizza. The server rarely checked back with us due to a couple tables of guys that she was obviously more interested in. We asked for boxes and the check and waited 15 minutes just for the check. At this point we decided that the food wasn't good enough to wait another 15 minutes for a box and cut our losses. Overall the pour of bourbon was well overpriced compared to average restaurants and the price of the bottle. Burger was over cooked and so were the wings while the pizza had no flavor. This is the second time we have been disappointed by this place and don't plan on giving them a 3rd. If you are looking for a better place to go crossroads is right down the street and has better/cheaper food. read more

I've been in NJ for about a week and this has been the best food experience I have had! Great service even when they were packed full. read more

Tailgaters - Stella Cider, burger with sweet tater fries - Burgers Near Me - Egg Harbor City, New Jersey

Great wings. Great service. Good place to eat bar food or watch a game any day of the week.

Excellent selection of local NJ Craft Beers. The menu is fairly large for a local Sports Bar. The Food is Excellent, I've never had a bad meal here and the staff is even better. They are all always very friendly! read more

Way to pricey for a sports bar pizza was not very good 12.99 for a 10 inch pizza hardly any sauce , the prices in a gourmet restaurant are not this high but I guess they don't care have their regular customers but I would not go again read more

Want a place for beers after a hard days work? Tailgaters is just the place it has a great blue collar bar vibe. However in the two times I've gone to eat the food has been mediocre at best. The menu they have setup would be awesome if they bought the right/fresh ingredients. read more

Wish I could give no stars. Being seated was like pulling teeth. Didn't get to try the food because no one waited on us. I hope this place closes - soon. read more

The picture will some up how good the food is. Was able to finish this off, except for the bun. Its known as the Pittsburger. Def a great spot in town to hangout and watch some games. read more

I am so glad I enjoyed this place the food was so delicious. With that being said, I'll definitely come back here again very soon.

I just had the worst experience. I ordered the three dollars cosmopolitans on Thursday which is on their sign out front and on their website but was explicitly explained that special never existed. When I asked how my bill was a$57 check when I got for five drinks for 3 dollars each the blonde lady that was "nice" all night pretty much went crazy on me and told me to get out. I'll go never go back. How are you going to advertise something that you don't actually mean? To the owner response: I understand that they want to preserve their image but I didn't go tit for tat on the disrespect. It's ok if they want to make things up to justify your staff stealing. More so, I would have loved to talk to you but you weren't there. Your bartender charged me whatever price she chose but asking what happened to my bill is now called disrespectful and degrading? I'm still blindsided by that bartender lashing out at me. All I kept saying is your not answering my question then she yelled at me to leave. I gave no trouble all night and I didn't deserve that. I did try to ask another staff for the manager but the bartender rushed me and I honestly thought she was going to hit me when she stopped short and said all cocky that she's the manager so I understood that wasn't going to go anywhere. At which point I grab my bag and walked away. I didn't get in a yelling match or cursing match or anything of that nature. I honestly didn't have it in me to argue, not after the last few weeks I've been having. But whatever I was disrespectful and degrading to the staff. Ok read more

We visited tailgaters for the first time in a Friday. Very busy! This is a good sign though, so we were ok with the 15 minute wait. Hostess and server were both friendly. We tried the tailgaters fries and enjoyed them very much. Now it's bar/tavern food so don't expect some fancy high level cheese on these fries lol. But if you're craving that Carby gooey cheesy fries, these will satisfy you. I ordered the mahi tacos. I would have absolutely loved more of the pic salsa on it. The taste was good! But there wasn't much inside the tacos. My partner had the mushroom burger- that was wow! Cooked just right, wonderful grill flavor, delicious mushrooms and the bun was good too. I'd say the worst part was the side of tex mex rice. Adding some fresh herbs like cilantro or other spices may revive them. We will be back! read more

Been going here for 10 yrs. Never have had a bad meal or bad service. Sometimes it gets a little busy but I'd be more worried if it was empty. Green bean fries, house mild wings, margarita pizza, penne vodka, and white horse burger all are hits! read more

Good beer selection and food was nice , hot and fresh. Got boneless tenders 1 order with honey bbq and one with the mild buffalo. Both cooked to perfection. Will be back read more

Fun place stopped by for drinks before headed to dinner. Nice crowd for a Saturday night. Had $3 domestic draft beer special which is nice for a Saturday night. Nice selection of craft beers but the bartender did not allow us to sample before buying a pint. Tailgaters - Burgers Near Me - Egg Harbor City, New Jersey

The food is always always always excellent here. Never a bad meal. The sweet potatoe fries and the dip they serve with them is amazing! Excellent burgers and wraps also. Another reason to support this business is because the owner is always giving back to the community and takes good care of his employees when he closes his restaurant for a few days during the year to make sure they get to have vacations and spend time with their families...good man and well respected in the community! it does not go unnoticed! read more

Been comming here since 2016 not from nj but whenever I am in the state I always make time to stop at tailgaters

Delicious burgers and fun family place!! When your in egg harbor you gotta go to tailgaters and get a great meal!! Although the service could be a bit quicker the food more than makes up for it. The burgers are to die for!! Although the prices could be better. At least the burgers are so so good. read more

UPDATE: I am SO glad I made the decision to NEVER go back! The owner (?) is just as ignorant as the staff. No wonder they have no class...their leader doesn't either. AND the food still sucks. I REALLY tried to like this place because it's local and close to home and work. Each time I go, there is something that is not quite right but I kept going. However, after my last experience, you couldn't pay me to go back. Met my husband there after work (happy hour) to unwind after a long week. Walk in, sit down and a waitress comes and says, "I haven't had a chance to clean the table" in an annoyed voice as if we should've known that. Then we order drinks. I order a margarita. She brings it back and it tastes like ALL mar...no GARITA!! It was AWFUL!! Wayyyy too bitter. I told her it wasn't good and didn't want it. She huffed. I asked if I could order 10 wings; 5 with one sauce, 5 with the other (which I had done MANY times before) and she said they no longer do that. Ok fine. Then I asked for cheeseburger sliders which are on the happy hour menu for $5 and she told me they are no longer available on the happy hour appetizer menu. At that point, I was DONE! I was just there 2 weeks ago and suddenly all of these changes?!! The food is not good enough and the staff sucks too much to go back. Never again. read more

Tailgaters is one of my favorite spots to visit as far as bar and grills go. I was turned on to this place in the summer of 2013. Being a huge wing man I was stoked to find out they have a Wednesday Wing Night where you can get wings for .35 each! $7 for 20 wings??? OMG who can say no to that?? Drink specials include $2 Yeungling Drafts...your pockets and your tummy will thank you for stopping in. Why I decided to wait this long to do a review is beyond me. I'll tell you about my experience every time I walk in there. For one, its very busy on WWN...even more so when the local college students are in town. So be prepared to wait for your wings when you order. That's to be accepted because the wings are awesome. You are given about 10 different sauces/toppings to choose from with a warning for the Habanero wings...you can't give them back once you have them. The staff is very busy on WWN...and I'm sure during some of the most important sporting events they're even busier. Which I can understand but I do feel Tailgaters should hire more staff. You get a sense when you walk in that the waitresses are a bit too busy to be welcoming. But when you sit down they are usually prompt and friendly. Usually on WWN my party and I get a young lady named Rachel. Even on her busiest days she's always very nice, inviting, and quick to get to the table to take orders and bring food. I had to compliment her professionalism last night to her personally because they don't have any comment cards for patrons to fill out. I like the atmosphere in general as there is plenty of space to walk around inside though from the outside it looks small. The patrons are typically young to middle age adults. The decor screams sports (as it should), and the large flat screen TVs can be seen from anywhere in the place, which there are plenty of TVs. The menu is robust and easy to follow and almost every night of the week has some sort of food or drink special. Tailgaters is always clean and none of the utensils or plates/bowls/cups look old and worn. Ever seen silverware that looks scuffy white? Well you wont find those here. As far as drawbacks, well I kind of mentioned that already with it taking a long time to get your food on its busiest nights, the staff being too busy to give customers a warm welcome, and probably not enough staff on hand during the busy times. The added touch of having plenty of staff on hand that's friendly even when times are busiest at any restaurant is more of a plus than anything. Thats the only reason why I can't give this establishment 5 stars as of yet. I recommend Tailgaters to anyone looking for a good, local sports bar that can offer some great food choices and drink specials. read more

I don't quite know what it is about tailgaters. Are the people that run this restaurant brain dead or just plain retarded? I was forced here last night to meet a few friends. Even though I told them over and over again to go somewhere else, I was vetoed. Things have not changed much since I stopped in a month and a half ago. As usual, we are now 3 months into the baseball season but, we had hockey blaring in the background on all TV's available in this place. Is everyone deaf who comes in here? Apparently. I literally could not hear my friend across the table from me without screaming. When i say across the table I mean less than 5 feet. Naturally, when we asked the waitress to turn the fucking volume down on the televisions, we fell on deaf ears and were ignored. I wouldn't give a fuck if this was the last place on earth to find a glass of water... I'll never in my life return here again. read more

Tailgaiters = PERFECTION I come here all the time! I try to come every Thursday which is their Mexican night. $5 margaritas, $3 craft beer & awesome Mexican food. The best part ... IT'S GOOD. Regardless of what night you come, you will not be disappointed. To be honest, the beer menu is what usually wins me over when deciding where to eat. They have tons of beer selection, the most I have ever seen. The staff is always so friendly! read more

Could be more stars but the bartender thinks she is hot sh$t. Clean nice atmosphere but I can't tolerate attitudes. Food good and drinks are ok read more

For the number of years I have lived in this area, this was surprisingly my first time at this bar. This place seem like more of like a dive bar, where every seemed to know everyone and where young college students come for their weekend booze nights. They have a good variety of beer selection, both bottled and tap; good list of craft beers. They have a decent list of sauces for their wings, but their hot buffalo weren't so spicy, so I will try their habanero sauce next time. The wings themselves are average sized wings, but their taste were just average to me. I had a few co-workers who recommended me the wings at this place, but I don't really see the greatness in them. The music is loud, but what do you expect from a bar?! As for service, we didn't really have much interaction, but their hostess and waitress gave us what we needed: a table, food, and the check. It was quick and simple. If you want a quick beer and decent wings, or if you just want to watch the game with friends, along with some good beer choices, this would be a good local bar to be at. read more

amazing, an oasis in the deep pine barrens. service was impeccable. , some house burger so good , next time we are in the area we'll get the clams n mussels read more

The place wasn't very nice, and the service wasn't the best. On top of that, my friend and I ordered a special on their menu because it sounded like a decent deal. But they ended up charging us full price for the meal and not the special price because they claimed they weren't doing specials after we already ordered and ate our meals. False advertising and terrible managing. Very disappointed in this restaurant and won't be coming back. read more

Small Giants bar in south Jersey!!! Who would have known. Everyone here is super nice. Definitely a Cheers bar where everyone knows your name if you go often enough. Food was just as good. $.50 Wing special on Sundays during the football games. I suggest the General Tso wings. Sounds weird but so good!!!!! And I don't know what they do but the $1.00 hot dogs were amazing!!! Definitely give it a try if you are in the area!!! read more

Great food. Really love the Cuban sandwich, steakhouse burger, and Buffalo chicken dip. Popcorn on the tables is a nice touch too. It's primarily a bar, so other customers can get loud and overly-mobile during a game, and the place can get packed. Service is a little inconsistent and it can be difficult to get a drink refill or the bill or your card picked up so you can pay the bill. read more
