What I got: 30 min Body + 30 min Foot Massage (~$55) Aya's take: Taiji Oriental Spa has a few locations now and glad to see they're in Secaucus too. This is a great plaza for a massage spot but please note, Google Maps address will not bring you here. Once I made my appointment, Taiji texted me instructions on where it was located in the plaza which was super straightforward. I was able to make my appointment the day of and communicate with them via text as well. My masseuse was Alice and she was very skilled! She was firm and used strong pressure in a rhythmic and relaxing way. She focused on target areas with deep knots and muscle tension and asked me a few times throughout how I was doing. I left feeling rejuvenated, lighter, and super relaxed! This location itself is clean and the couple's room was more spacious than other places I've been to. They recommend bringing cash to avoid tax. Tipping also felt like an obligation rather than a choice, so make sure you bring enough to cover that as well. I would come back! read more

Taiji Oriental Spa - Entrance - Massage Near Me - Secaucus, New Jersey

So I called Taiji massage in Fairlawn their sister store on Wednesday the 17th. I scheduled a 90 minute couples massage for Saturday at 6:30 PM. There was an accident on route 20. I was running a couple minutes behind so we called to let them know at which time they told us they did not have any appointments for us. I proceeded to the massage place in Fairlawn and the gentleman said he sorry he must not have written it down after I showed him my call log from Wednesday the 17th. This gentleman did not even offer a make up or free massage and wanted me to drive to the other location in Secaucus. After getting a baby sitter which cost me $60 we left with nothing to show for it. We have been to the Fairlawn location at numerous times for couples massages. Again, this gentleman made no effort to compensate or work with us to keep us as a client. read more

Lucy is amazing. Very strong hands. Yet still so gentle. Definitely not for the weak. You won't be disappointed.

I've gone to this spa twice with my fiance. We enjoy this spa because there is always an opening and GREAT price. We always leave feeling relaxed and limber. However I don't like how they require a certain % of tip off the service. read more

Taiji Oriental Spa - Massage - Massage Near Me - Secaucus, New Jersey

It is a good place for massage especially when you have a good massager. I came to this place for massage almost once a week and normally I will make the appointment with Massager Alice and she is very nice and skillful. Every time after the massage, I feel like being relieved and being saved. After sitting long day at office , massage is the only way making me feel like relaxing again - not even physical therapy can do. I strongly recommend this place but only with a good massager if you book! read more

Worst massage ever, and they hawk you and pressure you for tips, which is just scummy and low class

Massage was okay but they pressure you to tip them i was gonna add what i wanted to tip and the lady kept pointing at a tip sheet and said no tip this amount she had a attitude after i tip what i wanted made me feel like i wasted money there i could've left and not tip at all i will never come back here do not come to this place there's better places around read more

I had the pleasure yesterday of experiencing a deep tissue massage with Nancy. The facility was clean , orderly and quiet. The atmosphere was very zen just what is needed for this experience. I suffer from chronic pain due to scoliosis , arthritis and stenosis so for me it's therapeutic and not relaxation. Although freedom from pain for a day is relaxing and a constant aim. I will be making this a regular event and just as an aside make sure you advise your therapist of the intensity of the massage. Mine was for my needs but can be lighter - speak to your therapist before starting. Also the pricing is very reasonable, take it from me as I am always trying different places and now this is it for me. read more

Excellent super hard massage. Such strong hands. Incredible. I was in a lot of pain when I walked in. Thank you so much!

Spoke with the owner here on yelp messenger and he was quick to response! I'm about 30 mins away and this was WORTH the drive. Tina was excellent. I have a really bad back, tired legs from working in Dialysis. I'm always on my feet and have been trying to find a good massage. I did the 1 hour Shiatsu and 15 min foot massage package. Tina really worked on the knots and stretched my back (I usually prefer men because they are strong but she did just as good! maybe better! LOL) The customer service was amazing! i'll definitely be back. Thank you!! read more

I've been to Taiji spas all over NYC for years pre-pandemic. I was thrilled when one opened in Secaucus. They are wonderful and I get fully body massages 1-2 times per month. Tina and Jenny are great! Highly recommend. read more

Being that I have issues with my Sciatica and lower back area in general, it is hard to find a massage that actually gives me relief !!! I found it with CiCi !!! She is the best and I will always make my appointments with her ! I even got an amazing facial today (also from CiCi!) Be sure to check them out . read more

I was going there for years with no problem. Last time I was there I was injured as the girl stretched me in an unnatural way after I told her to be gentle and haven't been the same since. I may have to have surgery for a torn meniscus. The people are not trained properly. read more

I'm from NYC but I was visiting my sister and wanted to treat her to a massage. The place was a bit hard to find but once we got there we were very happy. We had massuses Cindy and CeeCee and they were great. Edward the Mansger was able to accommodate us last minute which was so awesome because this was a surprise sister. With the first time visit check in, we got a 70 minute massage with hot stones. I would have given 5 stars if the massage included the front of my body and hot stones all over and not just my back. read more

I like a deep tissue massage, and Taiji delivered at a great (introductory) price. Their regular prices are good, as well. The spa is clean, professionally run, and welcoming. Don't be discouraged because it's tucked out of the way. You walk past a Red Lobster, and then it's to the left around a corner in a strip mall-like development. It's the best place I've found in Secaucus--I usually drive to Hoboken. read more

Massage was decent but they are so entitled to tips. The massage therapist waited as I was cashing out. I'm always a good tipper, even if the service was mediocre so I handed her a 20% tip and she looked at me like she was disappointed or confused. The receptionist then pointed to their gratuity chart which shows a "good" the lowest possible - deserves a 28% tip! Unbelievable. I was so taken aback and disgusted that I handed the massage therapist the rest and left. I won't be returning. read more

Such a great massage by Tina! I usually visit the location in Fairlawn which I LOVE and tried to make a last minute appointment after work. They were already booked but suggested I try the new secaucus location. I received a 90min deep tissue by Tina and she was very skilled. I enjoy this location too, i love how Taiji Oriental Spas are consistent with the quality of service. read more

I made an appointment over the phone for deep tissue massage and explained I needed a massage therapist who was really good. I arrived to the appointment and as the host was taking me to my room, I reiterated the therapist assigned had to be "good". The therapist placed towels around my neck and down my back and moved her hands up and down my shoulders and back with the towel in me. After I realized that wasn't a warm up ritual I said I to her that's not how I was used to getting a massage. I said I was used to, no towels, oil being used and firm hands. She removed the towels, added oil and proceeded to just move her hands up and down my shoulders and back with very little strength. She didn't get into my tissues at all, so I complained and asked her to go get someone who knew how to 1. do a massage in the first place, 2, deep tissue. They sent in a different masseuse and it all went much better. When I was checking out I told the hostess who assigned the inexperienced masseuse to me that he shouldn't try that again. So disappointing and now I'll be taking my business elsewhere. My daughter mentioned she'd been to this establishment previously and said she didn't get a good massage either, but she's found a good one in Montclair. read more

I typically don't like to write bad reviews but felt need to. So my wife and I based on a friend's recommendation decided to give this place a try since it been a while since our last one was before the pandemic. When we got there, they were fully book at the time we went but was able to grab their last appt at 8pm. We got there at 750 and they immediately show us to our room and since we were the last one asked us to pay immediately. We didn't think too much of it but it was a sign of what time come. When my lady came in because I ask for someone that can give enough force, she immediately ask for a good time due to my request. I didn't say anything and just lied on the table. She gave it all she had and at time it did felt good, but she was rough with pushing my arm and leg off the table and the whole experience seem rushed. After the 90 min session, when we walked out I proceed to give the 17% tip and immediately she ask for more. So I gave more a little more than 20% and she still asked for more again. So I just walked out. I was hoping I found a dependable place but this experience just left a bad taste. And I have been to really bad places in NYC Chinatown but never have tipping been an issue even there. Unfortunately I will not be returning. read more

So apparently tipping they want 20% plus, Or they harass you for more no matter how the services is. My service was ok so I tipped $10, they wanted more. Different price for credit card and cash. They want you to pay for their credit card services fee. Massage was ok, nothing to brag about ( I had better). You can hear the person next to you. Won't be returning. You been warned. read more

Massage felt it was being given by someone who is not professionally trained. The woman used her knuckles and elbows for majority of the massage. I barely felt her thumbs. They also charge you a service fee + some other fee to charge your card if you don't pay in cash. read more

I was a first time customer service today. I got a microdermabrasion facial and a massage. 5 stars, I will definitely be returning. I felt so relaxed and the massage was one of the best I've ever had. I paid cash to avoid fees that the card companies charge, this is the new standard so anyone complaining about that must live under a rock. Pay in cash avoid the fees.
