AVOID THIS SALON. I…read morehad the absolute worst experience at La Jolie Salon & Spa. I left in tears feeling ugly and not looking like myself. I went in for a brow lamination and tint plus a lash tint. I was never asked what shape or tint color I would like. The tint does not match my hair or skin tone and the shape is not what I would have picked. The lash tint is jet black and left stains around my eyes - I look like a punk rocker raccoon. I never received post care instructions so when I went home I scrubbed my face to get as much of the tint off as possible. I know from getting laminations before that you cannot get them wet same day so this treatment was useless and a HUGE waste of my money. On top of not getting to advise on my service, during the service I was not treated with care. I was left in the room for random amounts of time on several occasions. I had my Apple Watch so I would see if the salon would come back to check on me when they said but the times were always extended which is probably why the tints are so much darker then expected. I cannot stress this enough - do not go here.

I immediately knew I could trust her, and it came out amazing!!! I've been happily getting cuts and color from her ever since. I completely trust her with my hair. I even recently ventured into trying out hair extensions for a fun change, and she did (and continues to do) an amazing job on them!!! My close family and friends are so shocked how natural my extensions look and how gorgeous they are, and other people don't even notice I got them, they just say wow your hair looks amazing it's gotten so long, I guess I haven't seen you in awhile! (LOL). That's how natural they look. I have never gotten so many compliments from people on my hair, even from strangers, since I started going to Leeza two years ago! Even before I added the hair extensions I would always get tons of compliments about my balayage! She is amazing! I have had ample hair cut/colored/highlighted/balayage experiences at expensive infamous salons all over lower Fairfield County with very mixed, sometimes horrifying results.The salon industry itself is rife with bravado spewing stylists/colorists. It comes with the territory. So I am "gun shy" you could say. However, I've now been to Odyssey five times and I can say with confidence that they are a very solid professional & talented staff. It's a modest looking salon. But don't be fooled. This salon has weathered 20 years and can boast a long list of devoted clientele. I was very clear about what I wanted my hair too look like. I wasn't coerced to believe that my hair could be transformed unrealistically. Instead, Jerry the owner, transformed my hair with out damage, false promises, or boastfulness but with skill and patience and a chemist's knowledge. He is a master. It's always clean, well taken care of, and they offer you a variety of goodies like water, wine, coffee or hot cocoa when you arrive. It's situated on a busier road within Harbor Point. Parking can be sometimes tougher right outside the business, but there's still plenty of parking all around the establishment including a free parking garage. To make it even better - if you're not looking to get your hair done, you can still use any of their other services like massages, or other beautician services such as nails and waxes. My appointment with Marycate was scheduled for 3:00pm but didn't begin until after 3:10. While a short delay wouldn't normally bother me, the service itself was then rushed once the 3:30 client arrived. My wash and blow dry were completed in UNDER 30 minutes--even though I have long, curly hair--and I left the salon with VISIBLY WET ROOTS. My best friend, who was seated beside me, texted me mid-service because she couldn't believe my appointment was finished when it was clear my hair wasn't. Meanwhile, the client before me (as well as my friend) both had their hair styled thoroughly and looked great, which made my own rushed, half-done result even more noticeable. I even mentioned to Marycate that this blowout was for my own engagement party that night, yet she ended the service while my hair was still damp. She had to have known the result was not acceptable, but I still felt awkwardly pressured to tip when she had me scan her Venmo at the end. Out of politeness I did, but I left upset--and then had to COMPLETELY re-dry and re-style my hair at home. The appointment ended up being both stressful and a waste of money.
