McCabe and Son Roofing - Scott McCabe. He stopped by after the dumpster was removed to be certain no nails were in our driveway.

After a squirrel broke into my soffit and made a nice little nest for herself in my attic I found…read moremyself on the hunt for someone to repair the hole. I called a few different folks for estimates and received nothing but a list of problems with the repair. First I was told that my PECO lines were too close to the hole and I had to have PECO shut off the electric or move the wire mounts entirely. Then I was given a quote for $700-$1000.00, which is ABSURD considering if I was brave enough I could climb my ass on the roof and fix it my damn self with a little brut force and a screw. Thankfully McCabe and Son were able to come out like a day after I called them to give me a quote. They said it was $225 for them to fix it. When I asked about the proximity of the PECO lines the dude turns to me (I think it was Jim?) and goes, "Well, I don't PLAN to touch it!" I really can't say enough good things about McCabe. They are just straight shooters, no bullsh!t. They get the job done for a reasonable price and don't drag things out for weeks or try to extort you for hundreds of dollars. The fellow fixed everything up nice and pretty for me today and now I don't have to worry about unwanted intruders coming into my house. Just stop wasting your time with other companies and call Scott McCabe.

Scott McCabe is the man!…read more One of the solar powered skylights he sold us 3 years ago had stopped working. As soon as we told him this, he was all over it. He actually spent several hours trying to figure out how to get it working, but the thing just wouldn't work. He didn't give up though! Scott got the manufacturer involved. Today, a technician from that company replaced the motor unit in the dead skylight and replaced the motor unit in our other skylight even though it was working fine. And it was all covered by the warranty. Wow! We are so impressed with Scott's service mentality. This guy is gold. I mean, he did all the legwork to get this repair done. We did nothing. He took ownership of the problem 100%. He also just did our neighbor's roof and our neighbor was also pleased with his McCabe Roofing experience. Scott is terrific to do business with. I'd give him a 6th star if I could.

We got our roof replaced by Bonner Master Roofing. Overall in terms of the roof alone, they seemed…read moreto have done somewhat of an okay job, there are a few bowed shingles but there have been no leaks/moisture issues. Here are a few moments we did not like. - The quote was 40% higher than every (6) other quote we got. Yes, I'm the bozo who believed they would do a better job on the roof, communication and cleanup. - They were unwilling to provide/send the presentation to us so that we could re-review it (should have been the first red flag). - The dumpster was left in our driveway for 3 more days than we were told. Who doesn't love a dumpster of trash blocking their driveway over the weekend. They did put wood blocks under the dumpster to protect the driveway which we did ask about and appreciate. - The cleanup was horrendous. We notified the company at least three times that there were nails still left scattered all over the yard. To their credit, they did come back out to clean but what a half butt job to the point we had to incur the cost of buying our own magnetic lawn sweeper. Subsequent cleanups included paper, plastic, nails (on the ground and on the roof), cigarette butts and broken shingles from the old roof. Nails were both old nails and new nails. - During the presentation we specifically asked if they used sub-contractors. They said they did not and if you go with them then you will find out what's accurate. If you are picky, hope this helps, make your own decision based off of your own experience. It was decided to go with a different company for other properties.
