These guys did a great job... Kinda. Taking the old gutters off 5 Putting the continuous gutters on and asking where we want downspouts 5 Coming back to pick up all the nails and screws that they dropped removing the old gutters NOPE! Even after we called and asked them to bring out one of their large magnets brooms that all roofing and contractors have Nope, no show. I personally picked up 10 nails the day after installing the gutters The next day my husband picked up another dozen. We got the gutters put on the first week of March and today (4/1/26) my hubby pulled his truck into a different section of the drive and lo and behold he went out to get milk just now and has a flat tire. The screw is an exact match to the ones in our gutters! So they do a great job installing but they are lax on the clean up. Just be careful before giving final payment. Because that is too too many nails / screws to accidentally miss. read more

Alex Parker is just a wonderful man. And ultimately the price, quality of the work and satisfaction guaranteed go with that unquestionedly. It is something hard to find these days, where the focus is often to make a lot of money quickly. A man who takes pride in his company and who is fair, responsible and accountable, if in an exceptional circumstance there is a small problem that needs addressed to fully satisfy (even a sometimes obnoxious and unreasonable) customer. He relies on mouth-to-mouth advertisement and not by fliers and ads with nice presentations and all, but then way overpriced or of questionable quality. I have used Alex services more than once and the results are always the same and consistent, because of Alex irrefutable pride and reputation of good and honest work. I would recommend him to anybody with eyes closed. He is a Pearl. Btw. I trust Alex's word more without having any paperwork with clauses and signatures. They stand behind the work they do and they have fair pricing. We had water coming down chimney breast in attic (pictured) and could hear it dripping behind our bedroom wall. Reached out to several roofers and Al responded first offering to come out the same afternoon since they were in the area. He explained the flashing could be the issue and went into detail about how step flashing can cause this type of leaking if not done properly. I also pointed out missing facia behind our roofline gutter, which he explained was not properly tucked into the drip ledge when installed by someone else years ago, which caused the wood to rot and gutter to sag over time. They came out later in the week and did the work. They provided pictures of the damaged wood and all details so I was confident they assessed the cause accurately, which gives peace of mind. Al mentioned the mortar on our chimney crown showed cracking and that it's a small fix that could be causing the leaking as well. During the recent major storm I noticed the same leaking in the chimney so they came back out next day and addressed the cracking crown. read more

We had a great experience with Alex and his crew! We purchased our fixer upper almost five years ago. It has Cedar Plank siding and we expected a lot of issues, which we got. The best part about Alex is he is easy. He is easy to work with, he easily helps you problem solve to fit your budget, and he helped me relax and not stress so much as issues cropped up - such as wasps nest in the house behind the chimney, a lot of rotted boards, and an entire wall that hadn't even had vapor barrier applied and needed to be replaced. Alex would swing by and check in on things every other day or so, or if I needed him. He was very responsive and attentive. His crew, who were here every day, were great to work with even when I changed some colors around or otherwise switched things up. Friendly and respectful when I had questions, needed suggestions, or just some reassurance. We had a big job here, it took two weeks in 95+ degree temperatures. Weather alone is enough to make anyone lose their minds. Not these guys. These guys never lost their cool or their cheerfulness. I respect that a lot. The reason we picked A. Parker Contracting has a lot to do with how he presented himself while reviewing the house for the estimate. I'd done some research on how things should happen, and he answered my questions about his process but he also explained how and why he would do certain things and when. Not all the contractors who came out to bid would do this. He wasn't the lowest bid but he wasn't the highest bid either. He wasn't trying to 'sell' me. At the end of the day and at the end of this project I think they did an outstanding job. It is obvious they just want their customer's home to look great and for them to be happy. And we are!! We can't say enough good things about A. Parker Contracting! We had purchased a home that advertised "new" siding. Turns out the previous owners had painted over the old vinyl siding, and it started to buckle and separate in the summer heat. We did not expect to have to re-side the house within our first year, but it had to be done. From start to finish, both Al and his team were great to work with. During our estimate walk through, Al offered some design suggestions which we ended up taking (so glad we did). Their low pressure approach and fair pricing made them stand out. After stripping off the siding, we found old termite damage in certain areas. Issues mid-project often lean in favor of the contractor (it has to get fixed), but Al did not take advantage or up charge us. We found his quote to address the damage to be reasonable. The crew was friendly and hardworking, and they did a great job of cleaning up the yard at the end of each day. Overall, we're very happy with the services provided. Frankly the roof looks like a roof to me. However the gutters and trim we changed the color and I think it really makes the house look great. I would reccomend this company to anyone. I called several roofers but only 2 showed up. Mr Parker was very knowledgeable. His price was competitive . They completely removed/replaced my shingle roof in March of 2013. I seen his add on Angie's list . He walked me through the process from A-Z. Before his men finished they walked me around the exterior to make sure I was satisfied. 2 months later I noticed a shingle that was raised. I would highly recommend Alex Parker and his team! We own two rental homes as well as our current home and will use him for any roofing, painting, window, gutter and exterior job. He and his team just completed a very large job for us on a city town house. They removed the stucco from the side & back of the house, replaced the underlying wood and replaced all the windows and put up Hardy-board. They did a fabulous job! A Parker Contracting just finished installing a new roof on my home. We were very happy in the process from start to finish. When we first contacted Al for an initial job price, I was impressed because not only did he arrive at our scheduled time, he was a bit early. This was refreshing, as several other contractors showed up late for their meetings, or in the case of one, not at all. Al did a great job walking through the scope of work, even coming back a second time to discuss everything once again with my wife. On the day we were scheduled to begin, Al's crew was at my home first thing in the morning and quickly unloaded the materials onto the roof. Later, I received an email from Al letting me know that the city inspector was going to be late, so he wanted to postpone the job until he got a definite time of the inspectors arrival. Having dealt with inspectors in the past, this was understandable and Al did a great job keeping me in the loop. We ended up having to postpone the job a couple days due to the weather and the inspector, but since everything was communicated to me immediately, I have no problems with this! Once the work began, Al's crew did a fantastic job. The roof looks fantastic and their cleanup was phenomenal. I have use A Parker Contracting three times now. The first time I called in a panic - the ridge vent on my roof had flown off in a wind storm and we were expecting heavy rain. I had visions of rain flooding into my attic! Most roofers wouldn't even consider this job - they didn't even show up because it was a small job. Not A Parker! Not only did he came out immediately, he tarped the roof until it could be fixed after the storm. Since that initial visit, he has also been out to fix/replace my gutters and repair siding that flew off of my house in yet another wind storm. I will be using him again in the future for possibly repairing a bay window that has some wood rot and eventually, a new roof. He is honest and hard working. Response time has been quick.
