It's good, however, if you are looking for authentic Catina tacos & menu items this isn't it. It's not quite as good as when they opened years ago. Part of the lower rating (normally I would give it 4 stars) is due to how busy it is, meaning good food . The margaritas are okay. Most Mexican restaurants and bars make them better, way too much pre-bottled sour mix. The tequila is well, not my thing at all being a bartender by trade. If you're after a busy hip college kid hangout for meeting up with friends, this is definitely it. The vegan choices are delicious. Wow! These tacos are seriously tasty. I cannot recommend enough to get the carnitas tacos. These are the best carnitas I've ever had and will blow your taste buds away! I also had the BLTA taco (BLT w/avocado) and it was super good. Their guacamole and chips were very good and the black bean chili was the best black beans I've ever had. Delaney carded my girlfriend then proceeded to ask her for a second ID because she had a passport ID in her wallet. Sort of harassed my girlfriend about her ID insinuating she was fraudulent. She's 26, why are you looking in her wallet? She did not ID the other people we were with who were 21. She took my ID because I questioned her asking for more than 1 for my gf. Delaney then snapped my ID from my hands and starred at me as if she was instigating some sort of negative interaction without even checking my birthday. She stared at me for the remainder of the interaction regardless of other people ordering. She also continued to walk by our table and stare at us during our entire stay We also ordered tacos and chips with guac which then came with hair in the guacamole. Further more one of the people in our party asked for water and Delaney mentioned that someone at our table is not allowed to order more drinks because she was "inebriated". This was completely inappropriate as she had one drink, and it was 90 degrees at 4pm on a Friday and our friends just got in from a flight. Delaney was extremely unprofessional, bias, and abrasive. This will drive myself and my friends away from this establishment on further occasions. Hope you find another career from home that you enjoy Delaney, because you are not a people person. Came by Tacovore for an early dinner and was able to order online pretty easily for pick up! Defintely a plus that you can add the different salsas to your order online without an additional charge. I went with the tofu taco and the tempeh chorizo taco while my friend had the Old E taco and the shrimp taco. We both loved our tacos though I have to say that the tofu taco was the definite star for me. The tempeh chorizo was good but still had some bitter undertones that I didn't enjoy -- still a really great vegetarian option so I definitely can't complain. That was one thing that really drew me in to this place -- the vegetarian options. We tried 3 of their salsas, the tomatillo, the verde, and the pineapple habanero and all three were great, though I liked the verde the best. Overall, great taco place for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike with a slew of delicious options and salsas. Had a quick lunch at tacovore. Ordered one chicken taco and one chorizo taco. The chorizo was especially tasty! One bummer is that I have the gene that makes cilantro taste like soap (sad) so I always ask for no cilantro. I love tomatoes and onions though. Some places put the cilantro into the pico and some do not and instead put it on top. Unfortunately this place puts it in the pico so I didn't get any tomatoes or onions. The line was pretty long when I showed up with some friends, but moved pretty quickly! I think it only took around 20 minutes before I got to eat my tacos that I ordered, which were the pescado taco, pork chorizo taco, and carnitas taco. All of them were so so good and I will definitely be coming back here again. My only complaint is about the price, which is on the spender side, but in my opinion it was worth it. Good carnitas tacos (asada and mole were ok) but annoying policies. I've ordered in the past while driving up from California and it takes a while so decided to order ahead this time. If you order to go you are not allowed to eat on the premises, which I can understand when it is completely busy. But if it's nearly empty and we even offered to pay extra to dine in since it was freezing out, we're traveling, and we have a baby, they still don't allow you to dine in. We decided to stand outside and eat in the cold since we didn't have another choice so thank you for that! read more

I came in here with my husband for the first time last night. We were going out for my birthday to have a late dinner together. This place has been on our list to try for a while, and I'm glad we finally did! We walked in after having to park on the street because it was busy, and had to wait in line. The line wasn't terrible, but it was a little concerning since I'd read other reviews complaining they were dreadfully slow. Not the case last night. The line moved pretty quickly. The woman who took are order was sweet and cheerful. Super helpful, offering to answer any questions since we'd never been here. We each ordered three tacos and chips and salsa. I figured the tacos would be small given the price, like street tacos kind of thing. Which was so not the case. These were full size tacos, which made them a great value for the price. I couldn't finish all of mine, so my husband ate mine too. We aimed for a variety, so we could kind of try a little of everything. The only complaint I had was the salsa. It tasted kind of sweet and was just weird to me. My husband liked it though. He said the carne asada was inconsistently cooked, some pieces being on the burnt side. Neither of these things were the end of the world. Lol. The guacamole is amazing though. I could eat a bowl of that and be thrilled. Next time I plan to order that instead of salsa. We went in hoping they had a tv because the Blazer game was on. I actually wanted to stay home and watch it. Lol. Instead of risking going out and missing it. So I was excited to find a good table right in front of the tv and watch the second half. The vibe in here is very relaxed and casual. The space is quite large, and great for groups. They have a good selection of meat and veggie potions all served on their house made tortillas, definitely worth checking out for lunch or late night cravings. Taco vore is one of my favorite places to go in Eugene for tacos! We normally come here sporadically, once a week or so. There isn't much parking and it is usually packed, so I would recommend parking in the residential area. Once arriving, you wait in line or order up front and there are plenty of options! They even have soup. I'm vegetarian and I normally get the black bean and cheese tacos, but sometimes I get the vegetarian special taco which is currently sweet potato taco. The only request I have for taco vore is that that they also offer queso! I love cheese so much and we normally get chips and salsa. I always get queso at mexican food spots and I feel like that is the only thing they're missing. The tacos are also a bit pricey, but they are super filling. They look small but I promise again, super filling! The restaurant itself is decorated very beautifully. There are plenty of dining spots and we never had to stand around to find an open table. Some tables are mixed with other guests but we don't usually mind. There is also a back patio which seems like it also has heaters for the winter time! read more

We were looking for a quick bite before we toured U of O and this place was the bomb! The fresh made tortillas were a perfect vessel for the delicious fillings. The carnitas was some of the best I've ever had anywhere, the chorizo had amazing flavor with a slight hit of orange, the fish was perfectly fried. My son said his steak and the mole chicken was really good. The chips where crispy and a perfect accompaniment to the guacamole and salsa. If we lived here this would be a regular spot for us, maybe if my son chooses U of O we will get to come back soon! read more

I think the people who give good reviews for this place obviously haven't eaten at places that actually have great food. There are taco places in other cities that blow this place away. I was so surprised how good this place was!! It looks so low key but the food is AMAZING. You have to get the chicken and bean + cheese tacos. So much flavor. So cheap. So good. The carne asada taco was also good, but the others took first place. There's tons of seating outside, although it's a bit chilly right now. Inside everyone was wearing masks. I went for a walk in order and got it to go - it only took about 10 minutes to get in and out with my fresh food. 5/5 read more

I can't in good faith give this place a one-star review, but man, Tacovore has only been a disappointing experience for me. I think I'm done trying to give this place a chance. Here's some issues I've had: * There are absolutely no homages to Latin cuisine in the food this place sells, and its very existence seems borderline culturally appropriative. * The wait time for food is remarkably long, for being what looked like a pretty well-staffed kitchen. I don't think this is fundamentally the back-of-house's fault though, considering the food was... * Dead-on-arrival - I would have guessed I ordered food via Grubhub from Portland, judging by how cold it was. Who wants to eat cold tacos, especially after waiting for 30+ minutes? If this is the norm, perhaps a heat lamp on the food pass would mitigate food dying in the window. Considering I've been served cold food the three times I've been here, across varying levels of business, I think this is indicative of larger problems at hand. The margaritas are good. If you find yourself at Tacovore, stick with those. read more

Had lunch here with the wife a while back. Had heard great things about it so figured we should try it out next time in Eugene. Price is a little high for the type of food imo. It was a cold day and all of their seating is covered but open air. I tried the various salsas they have in squirt bottles on a counter. The green(Verde) salsa was best imo. I ordered a torta made with carne asada(beef). It was just fair since I have had much better ones elsewhere. The wife had a taco made with carnitas(pork). She said hers was well made but the pork itself didn't have a lot of flavor. Overall, she said it was good enough to order again. So, none of the food was terrible but it wasn't great either. Hard to tell on service since you order it yourself at the walk-up counter and get your own salsas. All they do is bring the food to your table when it's ready. 3 stars. read more

At one point the service was not too bad, but recently I was told that I could not sit at a table to save it for my group after I had ordered my food, that I could not sit until I had revived my food. The chicken tacos were alright - Fresh and yummy - nice pickled vegetables was a unique. I live in San Jose and we have amazing tacos there. I was passing through Eugene and NEVER been to this place before. I had a long day of traveling. I ordered online just to have my food ready because I was so hungry. I picked up my order from them and headed back to my car. There were about 3 large picnic tables outside open (could fit 10 people each). Plus some inside small table that were open on a Wednesday around 7 PM. No crowds. A few people ordering - no long lines. I grabbed my yummy tacos and ended up sitting down at large picnic table to take a bite of these tacos that sounded amazing. I was so hungry. When an employee came over and promptly told me to please not eat because you ordered online. (Not polite either). As if I was trying to get away with something!!! I looked around on a not crowded Wednesday and saw tables still open and said "okay" and did not dis agree at all. Proceeded to finish one taco I had in my hand and quickly another employee came up and said you need to leave you ordered on line. Maybe this is a one off?!?! Good tacos (not great) but terrible employee training. I did leave without complaining. I didn't see a sign on tables or at pick up line to say we WERE NOT ALLOWED TO EAT AT TABLES. I think I would not be writing this if the employees that spoke to us that evening 9/30/23 were more professional and helped me understand their policies and or let us eat because there were OPEN tables EVERYWHERE without it being crowded. Tacovore is not closed! They are still open for carryout. You can order and pay online using their website, and it's a quick and easy process. Their have a pick-up window so you don't need to go inside. I've been here twice in the past month for tacos and everything has been great. Their mole verde was especially good. Their mushroom taco uses fried mushrooms which is different but good. I sampled a couple others as well and enjoyed them. We paid $21 for 6 tacos which satisfied 2 people. Also, you can now buy their margarita mix ($12, just add liquor)! I've heard quite a few people say they have the best margarita around and I'd probably agree. I'll be back for sure! read more
