The customer (a pretentious Karen) obviously had no idea that wine has to breathe. The seafood was super fresh and the best time to go was happy hour...dollar oysters were such good value for money.

Not super spicy the peppers were so amazing and who knew that pickled cucumbers and ginger would go so well... this is my new go to dish. OK, and then our server was fantastic... We both switched our schedule so we could have a day off on Friday and we felt very taken care of and the only thing better would've been to be sitting in reclining chairs and being served. The oysters were spot on, and then it became Appy Hour... dollar oysters and discounted appetizers from 3 to 530 every day. Changed up our drinks and I had french fries with the peppercorn sauce and bubbles and of course we had more oysters. We will definitely be back here again. This place is awesome.

The ambiance was great. I had the same great Negroni as last time, but also had a new take on an Old Fashioned called the Dinner Jacket. Very yummy! Our server was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered the Kohlrabi Caesar and sesame focaccia again. It was as great as the first time. The focaccia is amazing. My wife ordered the Anolini for her entree, and I ordered the fabulous rack of lamb cooked in the wood-fired oven. It was simply amazing. We ended by splitting the warm apple tart. I loved the cream and gold aesthetics, as well as the cool art on the ceiling. They have a variety of seating areas including tables inside and outside as well as highchairs around the open kitchen and highchairs wrapping around the brick oven which is where we sat. We were warned that it does get very toasty, but it wasn't anything unbearable. My friend comes here often, so he noticed that they've made big changes to their menu. He highly recommended the crudo; it can either be ordered a la carte ($14 per fish serving) or one of each as a platter. I chose to try the black bass and bluefin tuna. We also ordered wood roasted sesame focaccia to eat with the crudo and the cacio and Pepe we ordered. Lastly, we ordered a Kohlrabi Caesar salad which comes with Boston blackened boquerones, croutons, and parmiagano. The food came out at different moments but we ate the salad, bread, and crudo together and saved the pasta for last. The crudo was very fresh and decent serving size. It seemed to only be topped with olive oil and salt, but that was enough to amplify the flavor. The focaccia was soft, easy to tear apart, warm, perfectly crispy/toasted, and every millimeter of the focaccia was covered in sesame seeds. It comes with olive oil to dip in. The salad was unique. I have never had kohlrabi before but it was similar to broccoli stems in its firmness, but not as sweet. It was not drowned in dressing which I was happy about, and has a good amount of parmesan cheese. I could taste the crunchy croutons which added an additional crunch along with the kohlrabi. I have never had boquerones before so I wasn't sure which flavor to look out for. The cacio and Pepe was okay. It was a little bland, but since it was my first time having it, I was not sure what to expect. The spaghetti was cooked a little under al dente and the sauce was a lower viscosity than I imagined. My friend had a drink and all together, our bill was close to $100 which is not too bad. The plates look small (about 6-8" in diameter), but the food is filling. I decided to check out the website for fun and I love the octopus art and that it's easy to navigate. The staff was very friendly and made us feel important and taken care of.

One of the sangrias had to be returned because it was cloudy and didn't taste right. This was quickly corrected, and the replacement was good. The glass of ice never arrived, but we didn't bother following up on it. We shared two appetizers, the calamari and a Caesar salad. The salad was excellent. The calamari seemed like a much smaller portion than we've received in the past, and we also found it somewhat dry. Our entrées were the tuna, paella, eggplant Milanese, and half chicken. We enjoyed all of them with the exception of the chicken. We preferred the previous version of this dish and found the potatoes soft and mushy. Service was very good at the beginning of the meal, but as the evening progressed, the restaurant became very busy and our very nice server was handling a large number of tables. Perhaps Hemenway's was a little short-staffed on this busy Saturday evening. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and certainly intend to return. Tip: Complimentary Valet Parking is provided in the garage adjacent to the restaurant. Have the waiter validate your parking ticket for up to three hours of free parking.

One of my favorite places for a date or to bring friends! I feel like I'm always talking about how…read moremuch I love it here. The menu is small and yet there's always plenty of yummy things to try when I go, even as a picky eater. There are multiple vegetarian and even a vegan option or two. I always have to get the guac when I come here - it's the perfect amount of creaminess without too much onion. Their red salsa is a great slightly chunky - slightly juicy texture and has a bit of a kick. The vegan burrito bowl is my go-to as a vegetarian, and the street corn side as an app is elite! It is a little spicier these days since the recipe was updated from on the cob to off the cob (I much prefer off for ease of eating and sharing!) The Coconut Cartel margarita was creamy and smooth and went down *quick* haha. Others in my party loved the spicy Margarito, although they were out of the main spicy tequila but the servers offered substitute recommendations. I came with a very large work group today, and the servers were so patient and flexible when we asked for modifications from the menu. I even was able to order the queso dip with the chorizo on the side (yummy but very thick cheese dip!), and they were very attentive of my colleague's mushroom allergy and made sure she got dedicated dishes, even when we were all sharing apps. The churro donuts seem to have changed recipe and got mixed reviews - some thought they were dry, another says she Uber Eats just those regularly Sitting outside in the summer on the patio is nice. Tasty, interesting dishes with modern urban twists on Mexican recipes. Truly the only slight downside is that sometimes parking can be tricky in this area, but you can always find free street parking, it may just take you a little bit. Even the funky and creative decor is a selling feature for me. A must-try!

I tried four cocktails some from their new menu and some of their past drinks, they were all great. My favorite was the Passion Fruit Martini and the Strawberry , the Sumac Paloma was great. The most unique drink was the Saffron & Black Lime Daiquiri, a little savority. My least favorite but it was interesting to try.
