I am Mexican and from California, this place is seriously one of the the best authentic tacos! The corn tortillas are handmade and the carne Asada tacos are seasoned just right and it's flavorful. They cook the meat and make the tortillas in front of you. The meat is tender and juicy. The salsas are delicious and the red salsa is really spicy and flavorful. Their Horchata is delicious too! Tried this out tonight and it was great! It was a busy store inside on a Saturday, but we waited for only a few mins and then ordered a couple tacos. Waited about 8-10 mins for our to-go order. Clean interior, lots of people working and people dining in as well. Each taco comes with onion, guac, cilantro, and tomato sauce but you can ask to remove any of those. If you're looking for a lot of choices in Mexican food, then go somewhere else. If you're looking for tacos or a quesadilla, then stop on by. I know there's already over 215 reviews and most of them are four and five stars, so I don't think they need a another four or five star review to help them out. The place was hopping, there's not a lot of seating, but enough. There's also barstool seating against the windows, that's where I sat. I read the one review that said there was no sense of urgency and that it took them a long time. Not sure about that. There were people coming in continuously, my order was ready in about three or four minutes. They do have a sign asking for patience, given the The great resignation. The lady who took my order was friendly with a smile. Now to the tacos. Steak and pork and vegetarian. No chicken. That's it. There's also beer and soda. No desserts. That's it, no chicken or shrimp, they keep it simple so it's done right. The corn tortillas are a bit thicker and fluffier so they don't double up on the tortillas like other places do. It's different, but good. Other food menu items: vampiro which is like a taco but on a tostada. Quesadilla, which you can add your choice of meat if you want no charge. I personally think the quesadilla (made with a flour tortilla and pastor) was the REAL MVP! Drinks are served Mexico style, u know the signature Cola in a bottle. Horchata made in house and is sweet/refreshing. Taco Tuesday will drop the price of a taco from $1.75 to $1.40, so expect a line and limited seating. 2 different salsas one mild, one hot. All tacos come with guac, cilantro, onion on top, limes on the side unless you tell them otherwise. My 2 cents: Wish they served rice and beans to make it feel like a full meal. I placed an order via Yelp and received confirmation stating that the order would be ready around 5pm. I arrived at the location off Greenfield at 5:05pm and the cashier told me that my order would be ready soon. Five customers later I walked up to the counter and ask about my order. Thirty minutes had passed. She turns around to grab it from behind her and hand it to me. At this point I did not want it anymore and requested a refund. I was told that the request must be made online. Not paying attention to your customers shows me that they are not interested in repeat business. This is just bad service. We love Tacos Tijuana! I can eat half dozen and then feel guilty We always go with the pastor meat, easy onion and then add in a little medium salsa for the flavor and some hot salsa for the heat. Really great tacos! The carne asada tacos aren't too bad either. This place can get really busy at the lunch and dinner rush hour times. If you want to have some tacos for your taco Tuesday tradition, you might be waiting for half hour or longer for your order. If the place is busy we usually put in our order then walk over to the wally world in the same parking lot and do a little shopping and usually we time it just right when we get back to the taco shop to pick up our order. It's hard to come by home made family owned taqueria joints, but literally a bite of their food is literally fiya in your mouth. The meat options are carne Asada and al pastor, and the seasoning and juices are all there. We got 4 al pastor tacos and the carne quesadilla and it was magic in the mouth that we got more to eat. The Al Pastor is that good, tacos and mulitas were delicious. The asada wasn't as wonderful but still tasty. The tortillas and condiments are fresh although the mild salsa in the squeeze bottle was way too runny. The hot one has much better consistency and good heat.
