Yummies for my tummy

Love the street tacos and the salsa is spicy! Service is always pleasant and fast. They cleaned up the place, no homeless person at the front door and the new paint brightened up the place. Always crave the cabeza and chicken tacos. June 2024 tacos are $2.86 each. *spoke to soon, confronted by a homeless person as we exited, who threw trash by our car. SMH, this is why I don't come as often as I'd like because I feel I need my husband with me.

A 2 inch taco for 3.38$ out of their mind the quality is not all that. Very little meat and super greasy

Taco Tuesday $1.25/taco

Pretty good traditonal tacos topped with cilantro and onion with green or red sauce. You cant go wrong with Asada, carnitas or Cabeza. They have various specials: Tacos Tuesday $1.25/taco Burrito Wednesday $5.99 Tortas Sunday $5.99 Hand made tortillas .50 cents more They have dine in table and no outside seating. Order at the register and then wait near the counter to pic up your order. Plenty of parking. Staff is friendly.

Tortas de carnitas

Came here late night because I was craving a torta. I ordered a torda de carnitas with everything on it. My fault for not asking what everything was. So it came with avocado, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and a slice of American cheese. The cheese threw me off but it wasn't the end of the world. Carnitas were nothing special not every flavorful but also not bland. The bread was a little to thick for the amount of meat and veggies they put on the torta. I also got a sope de pastor. Which was simple and to the point. Sope, beans, meat, cheese. The sope was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Beans had flavor and they didn't skimp on the cheese. The pastor had good flavor and was chopped fine to not get uneven bites.

Just a plain terrible Asada pastor with barely meat on it . A joke . Never again

Worst of the WORST !! Period . I ordered El Pastor Fries , Asada Fries and 2 carne asada burritos . What a joke . I paid full price and they barely put meat on every single item I ordered . Never again . That place is just a disgrace to the Mexican cuisine !! What else can I say besides don't waste your money there .

Everything about my burrito was wrong. Fries were soggy and my horchata was warm with no ice or straw.

Does this location use lard in their rice and beans?

Do they have California burritos?

Yes they do. They are delicious. You can add extra meat too if you want. For an extra charge. But very good. All the food there is awesome.

The heart of this place I swear I can't say enough good things…read more Get the burrito with the pork or the tacos with the pork -- The PORK [chef's kiss] a-ma-zzzing. And the flavor is spot on! You can get an egg and cheese burrito in a hundred other places, seriously, eat the meat is my advice. The pork meat is so good, the green chili sauce and the red chili sauce are different but both are amazing in their own way. The red one has a wonderful spiciness from jalapenos and Japanese chilies. The green one is chilis from New Mexico, go half-half if you can't decide. And if you see Isaac -- is like being a part of his authentic family table. There are so many regulars already, but even as an occasional visitor, just makes my heart happy eating the food that's prepared with so much care and thought for how it will nourish someone's day. Isaac told us how the pork cuts are not frozen and he trims the fat by hand to make sure the flavor is there, but the finished dish is not greasy. Good food takes time! This man is one of the chefs that think, "ok, what tastes good, what's nourishing and good for you". And his recipes are all top notch because he hits all the steps and doesn't shortcut the ingredients. His food would not be as amazing if he skimped on the meat, you'd know right away, but he won't serve you anything that's subpar, that's how much he cares. Eating the food was like, wow, I feel that you care about how much my day just got better because your food fuels me up! The sauce on the tortillas, mmm...I just got hungry all over again. Take me back to LA!

Upon walking in, we were greeted and asked if it was our first time there and it was. So the lady gave us a few samples of the meat options and explained what kinds of combinations we could order. SUCH WONDERFUL SERVICE!! As for the food, we decided on the asada burrito and jones breakfast burrito which were both so good! Especially with the refreshing green sauce and not too spicy red sauce. Definitely worth the drive and would recommend!!

Sell bottle beer and seltzer They have a condiment bar available. Taco $3.25- feels like a steep price. But the tortilla are hand made and have a nice chew. They are thick, but not too fluffy. Carnitas taco- the meat was really tasty. It was soft but still crispy with texture. A little excess oil. But was really good. Could be seasoned more. Asada- meat was soft. Has a nice grilled taste Al pastor- soft. The flavor is average. Nice texture to the meat grilled. Top shelf fries $16- was super super good. I would get this again. Great to share. Fries has your choice meat, topped with sour cream and guac. The fries are seasoned shoe string fries

I think the biggest difference is that they stopped making the tortillas by hand and the meat doesn't taste as good as it used to. In all honesty, the quality has gone downhill. I know that they started a burger food truck that they have parked outside and maybe they are focusing their efforts on that but the change is definitely noticeable in a negative way. I was so excited to come back, but was pretty disappointed with my meal. I will say that the one good thing that they still have going for them is their amazing staff. All of the workers are extremely kind and helpful and they work very hard to keep a clean and aesthetic area. If you heard the hype of fresh handmade tortillas and wanted to try top shelf tacos, save yourself the trip. They don't do it anymore and It's just like any other taco place.

Mariscos Rosarito - a casual Mexican seafood restaurant/deli that serves up delicious ceviches and…read morecocktails. It was located on our way back from Palos Verdes to Long Beach, so stopped in to check it out. It is located in a small strip mall with limited parking, so my wife waited with the car running while I ran in. The first thing one notices is the deli selection of refrigerated ceviches. It is similar to what one can get at the deli section of a Mexican supermarket, including being able to order by the pound. One can get in/out quickly if one just orders what is available in the deli counter. There is also a decent size dining room, where one can order and eat the standard mariscos dishes that the area is well known for. They do accept credit card, and one pound of ceviche de pulpo and half pound of ceviche de camaron cost under $20. It came with 3 orders of tostadas, limes, and hot sauce (thinking half a pound is considered a serving so my order was meant for 3 people). It was packaged well for easy carry out. Brought it home, and it was delicious. The thing I most appreciated was the value: how much seafood was in the serving. Octopus has gotten really expensive, and the amount of meat they gave (vs mostly the vegetables and liquid that the Mexican supermarkets seem to give now) was very generous. This included the shrimp ceviche as well. Both used the lime vegetable ceviche mix that tastes pretty similar to others that I have had. It's always a pleasure to find a new place that serves your favorite dishes but with more value AND is close enough to stop-in without driving too far. Mariscos Rosarito is that place for me now, and I look forward to trying more of their dishes in the future.
