    BURRITO ASADA
    Roy A.

After two years on the East Coast, I had a late-night craving for some West Coast tacos. We headed to Sinaloa in Berkeley. The place was full of UC students, and the college town atmosphere was alive. I wanted to order a super burrito, but the sweet lady taking my order suggested a regular one would be enough. I'm glad I took her advice. The regular burrito was more than enough, and the carne asada was incredibly tasty. My wife enjoyed her chicken tacos. We enjoyed the late night dining experience. It was a great time. We will be back.

My partner and I love tacos and decided to give this place a try. I ordered two street tacos which were okay. The flavor wasn't bad but they were missing something else like a green sauce. My partner got the burrito bowl which was a better option. Inside was pretty clean and the service was good.

Nice staff! Made the food very quick... it is near the school so you will have to find parking and walk.. best tacos I have had in a while. Def visiting again. All the food was delicious

Tacos Sinaloa changed the game for me when it comes to tacos. Tacos were not something I often craved until I finally tried the carnitas tacos from Tacos Sinaloa. They were crunchy and full of flavor. Their agua frescas, especially the pineapple flavor, were very refreshing. Every sip of the agua fresca and every bite of the tacos were very addicting. I always prefer getting tacos from taco trucks, but this place is an exception. The only downside is that the shop is quite small with very limited seating. However, their food is still very enjoyable in the comfort of your own home.

I ordered a super burrito from this place on Doordash since there was a deal going on and I was pleasantly surprised with this giant burrito! We ordered a carna asada burrito and they didnt skimp out on the filling at all, there was a good chunk of meat in each bite and is definitely made to share. I split this burrito with someone and it lasted me two meals. It also came with some delicious pickled vegetables that paired well with the burrito. Overall a good standard burrito that I will definitely be ordering again

Fried carnitas tacos were delicious, would come back to Berkeley just for this place.

I ordered the burrito pescado, and I thought the fish was soft, fresh, and tasty, especially with a bit of lemon. The burrito could have been better seasoned and juicier. The burrito was super filling and a generous size, but I wish there was more fish. The food came out quickly.

I've been sleeping on this place because I didn't like their Al pastor burrito I got years ago because it was all onion and not enough meat. I think I just don't like this particular al pastor. However, when it's done right, I really love their carne asada and crispy pork tacos. It's the right amount of fat and smokiness and a bit oily but nothing too bad. Ask for green salsa and avoid the red. The red salsa is weirdly thick like they put cornstarch. Chips are a little stale. My only complaint about this place is that it's inconsistent. Don't order at 10PM because your meat will be so dry. But it's like, don't open at 10PM if you know your food will be bad...

Meat is good but the tacos didn't really hit for me. Not much on the taco as far as toppings go. Idk if it needed more flavor or what, but something was missing. It's located on the most busiest street so parking can be challenging. There are only high chair seats inside along the wall. A real casual place and perfect for a quick bite.

$20 for a super burrito, add $2 for specialty meat. My carne asada super burrito was $22. I asked why the carne asada was considered specialty meat. "It's the most popular meat." Yet my carne asada and shrimp tacos were $4 each, even though it should've been $4.50 each according to their logic. And if you order takeout, they charge a 25 cent "delivery fee". In the end, I thought the super burrito was too salty and the tacos were too bland. But most of all, I was annoyed at the logic behind the pricing.

Affordable Mexican food for its big portions. Food: we got the super burrito which (shown in the photos) is bigger than our arms! It be impossible to eat this alone, so sharing it with a friend or seconds is my favorite. Service: Workers were kind, and answered our questions and requests! Ambiance: a few seating inside, but largely a take out place.

I wish they had a location in San Francisco because these tacos are truly exceptional. I find myself daydreaming about them! My absolute favorite and go to is the Al Pastor taco - the flavors are just a party in your mouth. The meat is always perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender, with a little kick that melts in your mouth. I usually order online for pickup since parking in the area is pretty limited, but it's completely worth it for these tacos. The experience, from the first bite to the last, is just that good. The service is decent since there's not much human interaction, it's a simple process of pickup and go.

$25 for a burrito and drink but I can't get free chips!?? Its located right in the middle of a college campus, so the price point should be more affordable. It's very quaint space with a few stools lined up against the wall. Service was fast and I was able to get it within 10 mins The food is good not the best, there's better chile relleno burritos 15 mins down in Oakland. My cons: location, no parking , price for quantity doesn't match. That's why the 3 stars. Pros: carnitas & horchata were crispy and pretty good.

I was immediately greeted by chef Elmy and his staff. I ordered a gyro to go as I knew my wife would want to try as well. I was expecting a gyro neatly wrapped like a burrito in foil that I could place in my bag. Instead I was presented with two heaping plates of food covered in foil. Luckily the bike I was riding had a basket. Chef Elmy told me which plate to keep on top and instructed me to be careful with the food on my ride home. "Yes sir". I got home and present the plates to my wife. She removed the foil unveiling two colorful delicious looking plates of food. We were both glowing. One was the gyro I had ordered and the other was a mix of some of the most delicious beans I have ever had along with a salad, a roasted pepper and pickled vegetables. The portions were huge, but more importantly delicious. Food like this could only be made by someone who loves feeding people which I believe Chef Elmy does. From the very beginning, we were welcomed with bowls of soup as soon as we approached the truck. We were asked if we had any restrictions or preferences, and Chef Elmy cooked us a personalized meal. Note that everything is made-to-order so be prepared to wait a little - but for his cooking, anything is worth it. We were handed two gorgeous generously filled plates that could feed a family of 6! He also gave us bottles of water to keep us hydrated. The plate consisted of two wraps, chicken and kofta, with a couple of sides. We were not sure what the sides were (besides the delicious corn that was crusted and seasoned beautifully) but everything had us smacking our lips, especially the fried one. The food was intentional and made with so much love and care, something that is so rare to find nowadays. A real hidden gem and they deserve all the support! We cannot wait to return to try all the other food and specials Chef Elmy has to offer. Thank you for an outstanding and delicious lunch (and dinner)!

Great texture, topped with pork sung and crispy cabbage, plus katsu sauce and Japanese mayo. Savory, crunchy, and satisfying. Sumo Dog: Japanese curry beef chili with cheese and fresh scallions. Hearty, comforting, and perfect for that chilly evening. Fried Foods: We didn't try, any but they serve fries and potstickers too. I thought they might be closed because the front gate is closed, but if the side gate through the parking lot is open, it's open. They have a nice big open lot with tables to eat, and an inside tent as well. They were closing a little early for another event, so I waited about 15 minutes to get takeout and took it to a nearby park. The Chatamari is a great gluten-free option with its rice dough, I wasn't sure if it would be enough for a meal but it was plenty for $12! Topped with minced chicken, egg & a ton of spice, this place is not dialing down the spice for 'American' palates. Like a 'pizza' the rice dough is nice and chewy, but doesn't make you feel too stuffed. I want to go back and try the Bala made with lentils, and the Yomari dessert. The momo have a nice strong wrapper (hate it when those fall apart), good size with 8 for $12, they gave me half veggie & meat, thank you! The $5 mango lassi was delish, very yogurt-y, not enough of it to keep up with all the spice in my meal though.
