My family and I just visited Tacos Si Senor for dinner. I was told that this restaurant makes the best mole sauce, so I ordered the cheese and chicken mole enchilada entrée, with rice and beans. The sauce had a nice deep rich red color and flavor. Delicious! The Carne Asada, I'm told was very tasty, thinly grilled seasoned steak, in generous portions, with rice and beans, served with warmed flour tortillas. And the Chile Verde was quite good, made with cooked diced pork, simmered in tomatillo sauce with spices. My family found the service to be prompt and professional. HORRIBLE SERVICE! My fiance and I ordered tacos today at 7:30pm. It took a whole hour for us to get our tacos. Even after asking the cashier several times when our order will be ready, shesaid she would check on it. After seeing guest after us get their orders before us, it just ticked us off. Very disappointed on today's service. Been coming here for years and decided to try something new on the menu. Today I wanted to try chile rellenos and regret doing so. The egg on the chile was super burnt. I brought it to the attention of the cashier who brought the food to the table. Her response was that they are all like that. What I got was a giant bean and rice burrito with maybe one egg, potato that amounted to about a half of a small baked potato, extra onion, cilantro, and very little cheese. I had not been to this restaurant before. The first time there I decided to try out the molcajete. Man was it good. It's really meant for two people. It's a large amount of food. Their tacos are out of this world. In fact, all of their food is really great. I've been coming here for almost 2 years; I've probably eaten 400 of their tacos. So why the one star? I'm sick of their employees attitudes. They have nothing but disdain for their customers (or maybe it's just me?). I'm absolutely sick of it. Whatever happened to treating your customers with courtesy and respect? I guess it went right out the window here. They've always been smarmy and rude, but I was willing to deal with it because I loved their food. Recently, though, they've kicked it up to 11. Well, here's what happens: long time customers who have enjoyed their food write reviews like this. What set me over the edge is my last order: I clearly asked for "everything" on the tacos. In fact, they confirmed this with me, and I repeated "everything". The cashier was rude and dismissive like I was imposing on her busy day by wanting to pay for my food. I get my tacos home and they, in fact, have NOTHING on them! I almost drove back to get my missing toppings, but I decided I'd rather go to Wal-Mart and dice my own onion and cilantro than interact with these bitter, resentful employees ever again. And so I won't, EVER, interact with these people again. They've lost my business for good, and maybe yours too. The best thing about living in a neighborhood with a high Hispanic population is the proliferation of great taquerias like this one. I almost always order a burrito. Their al pastor is fantastic, and their carne asada is good albeit a bit gristly. If those don't suit your needs, they also offer carnitas, chicken, beef head, goat, tongue, tripe, brains...you get the idea. I haven't tried all of those, but I'm sure those would be tasty as well. The only thing I didn't like too much was the chimichanga because it has a fishy taste to it. I think that may be because they have a fried whole fish on the menu, so the oil retains the fishiness. An absolutely awful experience. Went in for a simple bean and cheese burrito. Waited until I got home to unwrap the burrito. I was given a carne asada burrito. Tried again a few days later, thought maybe it was an honest error. What did I get? Another carne asada burrito. I haven't been here in a while, but this is an old favorite. I grew up on the east side of Lancaster and grew up on more Mexican food than anything else (except maybe Filipino). I've since moved to Utah, which has very little Mexican food. You all have no idea how lucky you are. Tacos Sí Señor has some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. Their horchata is homemade (or at least was when I lived there) and was smooth and flavorful with none of the grittiness that you get from the powdered versions here in Utah. The menu is gigantic and my preferred method of choosing what to eat was to pick something that I'd never heard of. It works like a charm. In my experience, the less recognizable the name, the more delicious it was. My favorite fare by the end was huarache with a tamarindo Jarritos and then I'd grab horchata to go at the end. The food here was average and the salsa bar was nice.I decided to treat a few of my friends out to lunch and this place was close bye.i ordered food for 8 people and all 8 thought it was average .Im picky about how I want my food and explained to the staff I wanted my burrito separate from other items but they but it in a container with lettuce and a bunch other stuff. Avoid this place if you don't want to be treated like crap. My fiancé and I came here for the first time .. there were very few people here ... we're looking at the menu and are pretty much decided on what to order. We are there for about 3 minutes starring at the cashier... COMPLETELY IGNORED US.. some other lady came up to her and she took her order before us .. she looks at us and says" oh , you're ready?" .. Please believe their bad reviews! Unless you're ordering to go. The heavier girl in the front had the worst attitude! She was so rude from the get go. I asked a simple question and she felt it was ok to interrupt me mid-question and walk away. She was so snappy at me for absolutely no reason. Then again, she said "did you not hear me when I told you before". She was completely aware of her rudeness, I can tell she does this often. After snapping back she finally changed her attitude, but it's so unfortunate that it had to come to that for her to treat a paying customer decently. I always like to treat servers with respect, but she was the rudest person I have ever met. My family and I have been loyal customers for many years loved their food had a great salsa bar employees were friendly. Started to notice a big difference in their customer service but still continued to go for the food. Recently the quality of food has declined a lot decided to give them another shot tonight and order a single chile relleno (HUGE MISTAKE) just look at my picture. Cold soggy pre fried poblano pepper with canned enchilada sauce with pre shredded processed cheese microwaved on top. I expressed my disappointment and asked to exchange was told if I wanted cheese inside the relleno would have to custom order it that way and pay more. I have eaten this dish many times and have never seen it made this way. We came in and automatically the owner and her daughter, both gave us attitude because we were taking a while looking at their menu (hello, do you guys expect me to know what i want right off the bat?) so then already, we were already having doubts and we asked the owner's daughter what meats they offered and she responds "every meat what do you want?" And I replied i want 4 tacos of carnitas and she replies "we dont have any", so this pisses me off but i am already here so I ask how much a quesadilla with meat by itself costs without combo and she says " it's up there dont you see" and clearly the price was scribbled off so then I proceed to order and I hand over my debit card and she snatches it off my hand. I love tacos so when a co-worker told me about this spot I decided to check it out. The location makes me feel uneasy as there are quite a few people loitering in the parking lot but the restaurant theme is what I would expect from a traditional Mexican restaurant. On to the food, the tacos weren't anything special, as with a lot of taco spots the carne asada has no flavor. Marinating the beef is key to flavor. The salsas were too watered down and again no flavor. The price was on par with most tacos shops. I would say if your going on your own to eat a quick bite it's ok. read more
